My GameStop didn't. :/ *Jelly right now*

Strawberry jelly? That's my favorite.

#100079 GameStop Employee: "There will be no Wii U Midnight Launch(es) at GameSto...

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 16 August 2012 - 11:20 AM in Wii U Hardware

Yeah. I wasn't expecting any. Didn't ever happen with any previous console, so why even bother asking?

I don't really care either way. I camped out at my local Target store, at around midnight to get my N64. With the GameCube my job prevented me from camping out, so I walked into a Best Buy and picked up an Indigo colored GCN on launch day (Black was sold out). My job still prevented me from camping out for the Wii, but I had one on reserve and walked in to my local GameStop on launch day and bought one.

This year, for the Wii U, I am hoping to camp out at Target again. The N64 was the first Nintendo console I ever bought with my own money, so it would be cool get the Wii U in the same manner. I've already let my boss know that I don't intend on working on whatever day the console launches. He's okay with that.

#83773 New Wii U Pro Controller unveiled by Iwata

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 04 June 2012 - 07:12 AM in Wii U Hardware

When the Wii U Pro Controller was uneiled I screamed with glee, like a little school girl. Love it! It's obvious that I'm going to buy it on launch day, assuming it's available, I just have one question. Will it be available in black immediately or am I going to have to buy it twice (once in white and then again in black)?

...Because buying my Wii Remotes all over again, in black, was a crime. My wallet cried so hard.

#72804 How likely are you to buy a Wii U?

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 17 April 2012 - 02:33 PM in Wii U Hardware

I've been saving up for a Wii U for quite some time now.

#117009 Do you really want the deluxe?

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 12 October 2012 - 05:25 PM in Wii U Hardware

I want the deluxe for two reasons. First, it comes in black. Second, I get a discount on digital purchases. Nothing else about it really means much to me.

#72802 Nintendo Network costing money?

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 17 April 2012 - 02:26 PM in Wii U Hardware

I doubt they're going to charge anything to play online, but if they did I'd welcome it. Perhaps then there'd be a few less idiots ruining the online experience (Mario Kart Wii is infested with cheaters these days).

#83958 Ubisoft's ZombieU

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 04 June 2012 - 03:02 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Is it by any chance the game teased in the Nintendo Direct vid yesterday?

No. At least, that much wasn't obvious in the little that was shown. For example, nothing was mentioned about "survivors" or scanning zombies.

#83999 Ubisoft's ZombieU

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 04 June 2012 - 03:43 PM in Wii U Games and Software

why is the name of the game spelled without an e ?

I'm not sure. Perhaps this?

#83945 Ubisoft's ZombieU

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 04 June 2012 - 02:50 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Just saw this during Ubisoft's E3 presentation! What did you guys think? As for me, I am excited to get a mature zombie game on the Wii U. Bring on the zombie invasion!

#83970 Ubisoft's ZombieU

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 04 June 2012 - 03:24 PM in Wii U Games and Software

people are saying it's Killer Freaks from Outer Space

Actually, it has replaced it. Killer Freaks has become ZombiU... I don't know if I like that, but whatever. I do loves me some zombie games.

#100445 I want Zelda U to have motion controls

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 18 August 2012 - 10:30 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I could be okay with or without motion controls, especially if they are optional.

While I enjoyed Syward Sword, I think there is still a long way to go with that motion sensing technology. I found the Wii Remote Plus to be too sensitive and I don't like how I had to readjust it more often than I care to. The interface needs work (like selecting items), but beyond that I think the controls are fine. I think the option to play the "classic" way would be good too. Gives gamers who don't care for the motion controls the chance to enjoy the game with everyone else.

#83819 Which E3 2012 conferences will you watch?

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 04 June 2012 - 09:08 AM in General Gaming

The only conferences I ever watch at E3 are the Nintendo conferences. The only exception was the year Microsoft unveiled the Kinnect. That one was terrible. Nothing presented there made me want one.

#73143 Leviathyn Article Claiming Several Yet Unseen rumors about Wii U - source ?

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 19 April 2012 - 07:57 AM in Wii U Hardware

Ugh. Until Nintendo says something official, none of the rumors posted anywhere can be trusted.

#82138 Rumor: Wii U CPU said to support 8 threads, is 20X faster than Wii

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 31 May 2012 - 08:45 AM in Wii U Hardware

I can't really trust the source, so I will simply wait to see what is said at E3. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, though. It's a pretty awesome rumor, especially if it turns out to be true. We'll know soon enough.

#72819 Wii U to support directx 11? let's talk

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 17 April 2012 - 03:16 PM in Wii U Hardware

As someone who works in the technology industry I think the likelihood of this happening is extremely low. First of all, DirectX is a Microsoft proprietary technology. For anyone to use it, they'd need to be running a Windows based OS, which I seriously doubt Nintendo will run on the Wii U.

What is more likely is using the latest OpenGL technology.

You can see OpenGL compared to DirectX on Youtube:

(Left side of video is OpenGL and right side is DirectX 11)

As you can see, there is very little difference.

#81959 Rumor: Wii U to support 4 U pads?

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 30 May 2012 - 03:11 PM in Wii U Hardware

I highly doubt that, but we'll see at E3.

#85290 After all the hype i think the wii u graphics are much better than xbox n ps3

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 07 June 2012 - 10:00 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Nintendo convinced me with the tech demo @E3 2011.

#102150 How will Microsoft and Sony Compete with the Wii U?

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 25 August 2012 - 06:41 PM in Wii U Hardware

Microsoft has Smart Glass and Sony has the Vita. I don't know how amazing those products will be, but I'm pretty sure they can offer a very similar experience. They can compete just fine with Nintendo's Wii U.

#99049 Sony Admits the PSVita is struggling with 3rd Party...

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 11 August 2012 - 06:33 PM in General Gaming

I don't really know much about PSVita, but from what I've heard this is Sony's own fault. They made some poor choices, and the hand-held wasn't selling as well as people had hoped. Like I said, I could be mistaken. I'm just going by what I've heard.

#82441 What are you buying on launch day?

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 01 June 2012 - 08:14 AM in Wii U Hardware

Besides the console itself, and maybe an extra Wii U controller (depending on whether or not 2 can be used simultaneously), not much else. One game for sure, but which one will depend on what I like the most at E3 this year.

I'd like to be able to purchase a first party title, like Mario. I don't know for sure that there will be a Mario launch title, though. Hopefully E3 will clarify this.

If there aren't any good Mario games at launch then I'll be forced to buy something 3rd party, but I don't know if there are any 3rd party launch titles I can get excited about yet. I haven't seen any good ones on the confirmed launch title list so far. Again, have to wait and see what really grabs my attention at E3.

#84007 I find it an odd lineup of games from Ubisoft

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 04 June 2012 - 03:57 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I'm happy with what we got from Ubisoft, especially ZombiU. We'll get some better titles from other companies, trust me. Tomorrow will be a good day.

#90782 Yoshi Wii U

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 29 June 2012 - 11:05 AM in Wii U Games and Software

What about a Yoshi game? There's a possibility since the last Yoshi game was a remake of yoshi's island, so I think it's time for a new Yoshi game.
Would you be excited if a Yoshi game were released for the Wii U?

Meh. Yoshi's Island 3 and we'll talk... Maybe. I'd rather see that on the 3DS, though. Using 2D sprites, just like the SNES game... But that's just me.

#83791 Redesign of the Wii U?

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 04 June 2012 - 07:55 AM in Wii U Hardware

We just saw the Wii U in the Nintendo Direct video and it wasn't redesigned, so I'm pretty sure it's not happening.

Well... 90% sure. Who knows, maybe what we saw in that video wasn't the final hardware, but I doubt that's the case.

#86681 Wii U version of Mass Effect 3 will be a enhanced version with a new story

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 11 June 2012 - 11:46 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Awesome. Now I can go ahead and buy it, without the fear that I'm basically buying the same game I've already played.

#93120 ZombiU Gameplay Collection

Posted by King_Bowser_Koopa on 12 July 2012 - 11:30 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Yep. I am buying this game. It looks awesome.
