It makes sense though, with all the figures due to come out retailers cannot simply keep making room for them on the shelf. Online outlets should carry every amiibo, at least you would hope. I suspect the main nintendo characters to remain on the shelf in stores and with each new wave coming out, they'll probably only carry a handful of the new ones.

i would agree, however working in best buy, stores have dedicated an entire isle for all skylanders, all disney infinite, but just a 4x4 section of amiibo, and chose not to carry certain ones. so they can, they just wont.

That's good. Just hope Nintendo does larger runs for each wave from now on. 2nd wave pre-order on Amazon.... almost all unavailable except for Luigi.

I really don't know, because with that being true Gamestop and other places should never be allowed to sell used games if the original User is the only one entitled to the software.

EULA has always stated the user never owns the software, physical or digital.

Nintendo games release on Fridays, smash bros isn't the 24th, that would be a monday.

so after all the update and waiting, everything transferred except smash bros...so mad right now. was super excited to use the amiibos, and i've lost all that data......crushed
and of course, it wont let me re-download smash bros either, or any of my games for that matter.
tempted to return this and just call it quits on the 3ds...
yes i could call nintendo and maybe they'll get me smash bros back, but all that stuff i unlocked, ready for my amiibos...no way I'm going to put the hours in to get that back.

Is anyone actually planning on buying Smash for 3DS? 

I am, though honestly having played the wii-u version at best buy, i know I'm not going to be blown away, but still it will be my most played game on 3ds till ruby and sapphire release in november.

It's a very odd release schedule for nintendo. I can't think back to any time they ever released 2 1st party games a week from apart. Its not that i don't want hyrule warriors, i love hack n slash, but cmon...is SMASH bros!

Was going through some of my gift cards, planning ahead for some games, and i just realized that smash bros 3ds is only 1 week from hyrule warriors. Does anyone other than me feel like this will affect hyrule warriors in a bad way? the more i think about it, I most likely wont be spending $60 on that when i know smash bros is going to occupy pretty much all of october.

truth be told i was shocked it wasn't more like fire emblem, but considering I've never played any persona games yet hear they're good, plus it looks amazing, I welcome it.
Hyrule warriors has taught me that nintendo collabs can be amazing, and since hyrule warriors is my most played game.

Not that i mind more tracks, but i can't feel that this might be too much and that the next game will feel a bit slim when it comes out...

I think it's clear that mario kart 9 or 10 needs to really be more nintendo themed. smash bros it up.

UGH! i really want this, but i feel its so pointless to buy this game a week before smash...

Pointless would be like buying Watch Dogs on Wii U, hehehehehehehehehe . 

ha well I won't be doing that either, even though a YEAR ago i was over excited for watch dogs.

Upset? Absolutely not. There is already plenty of representation and content in the game, even without DLC. I suspect the game has sold well enough that we will be getting a sequel.

I can agree with this, however I would have liked SOME wind waker content. Some holding out that in the next two updates something from wind waker will show up, but even without i have PLENTY to do in this game.
