#315107 ZOMBI - Ubisoft

Posted by storabajskorven on 20 June 2015 - 09:47 PM in General Gaming

Great, this game deserves to be played by more people! It shouldn't be too difficult to make it work without the gamepad. It did pretty well on the WiiU, but I wonder if it will sell enough to get a sequel. We'll see.

Without the gamepad it's just another zombie/survival horror shooter.

Then again, it's Wii U owners' own fault we're not getting any kind of sequel because most of them didn't buy this great game.

The gamepad was well used, but not in any way essential. It was a great game, and it sold really well for a launch game as niche as this. Nobody could have expected it to sell better than it did.

#304653 Zelda U Gameplay from Game Awards

... I do hope the game will have a "serious" vibe instead of a funny one like WW and SS.

To me, Wind waker is one of the most "serious" Zelda games.

#305136 Your Top 5 Christmas movies?

All (internationally known films) I can think of is Bad Santa and A Nightmare Before Chistmas.

#315227 Yoshi's Wooly World reviews - GameSpot give 6/10

Posted by storabajskorven on 22 June 2015 - 08:33 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Yarn Kirby also didn't do too well either.

What? Kirby's Epic Yarn was loved by most critics, it sits at 86 on Metacritic and GameSpot gave it 8.5... It also sold more than 2 million.

Nice spelling...

#312567 Yooka-Laylee, revealed, officially planned for Wii U

Posted by storabajskorven on 02 May 2015 - 02:09 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Yooka is the male and laylee is the female.

The details are on their kickstarter page I think.

Ha! Yes, it's very important to know that the lizard has a pegasus generator...

Edit: So, that male bodypart is actually censored here, even when using a non-offensive word. That's... interesting.

#317142 Xenoblade Chronicles X - Costume changes for Western Release + Discussion

Sex and sexy characters in games is positive in general, unless it's out of context. Having your characters run around half naked while trying to fight aliens really destroys the mood and feeling of a game. So this is definitely an improvement.

#303412 Wii U Console Stand: why?

Posted by storabajskorven on 18 November 2014 - 11:27 PM in Wii U Hardware

Hi guys! 1.gif
the question is...why the Wii U Console Stand aren't available in Europe??

Thanks ;-)

I bought mine with the stand in Europe, and I have seen them being sold separately here as well. Who says they aren't sold here?

#307026 Wii Download games

I don't like MP Trilogy at all. No I love the MP games I just specifically do not like the trilogy disc on wii. They made some of the visuals worse. Took out detail and even edited out the commanders "DAMN" in MP3 to "NO" and it didn't make any sense felt like a TV dubbed in thing. That really annoys me. If you never played them before then you won't notice anything but if you have prepare for a downgrade.

But the controls are approximately 52 times better. The games don't have fantastic graphics by today's standard anyway, so I don't care about the slight downgrade. So, to me, the Wii versions are approximately 51 times better. Didn't really like Corruption, but the other two are absolutely fantastic.

Anyway, this won't affect the existence of N64 or Gamecube games on the VC, since there is no emulation involved. They can just put the games on the eshop as they are.

It was a big downgrade and you are missing the point. It was a downgrade on stronger hardware. There is no excuse for that and yes it affects the gameplay. Some of the physics were removed. Sound design downgraded and sound design was a MAJOR part of the gameplay in those games. ESP the first game was design to give you a surround experience with only 2 speakers so ques were VERY important.

Well, I'm not going to argue about it, since it's a matter of opinion. I agree the downgrade is noticable and a bit sad. And above all very strange. But "big" is a matter of comparison and to me it's still minor. And the controls are so much better that the graphics difference is completely negligible. To me, but obviously not to you. Now, I never thought about the sound difference, I'll have to have a look at that.

Nintendo should put out The Last Story,Sin & Punishment. I would say Captain Rainbow but needs to be translated but they could now since it was in English even in Japan put out Disaster Day of Crisis. Fatal Frame II remake in the US on the Eshop. In fact FFII could help them determine fan interest for FFV

They are putting out Sin & Punishment, at least in Europe.

Not in the US. We got the physical copy which I have but be cool for Eshop in the US. Also we just flat never got games like Another Code R or Disaster Day of Crisis or Fatal Frame II. I think You guys even got the Resident Evil 1 and Zero. These are things Nintendo could release in the US Eshop. Games US players never got the chance to. If there is any we have you never got same for you. Strictly speaking of games already translated so I won't ask for Earth Seeker or something.

Hm, I still think they'll release it later on. In the US direct you only got to see the three games launching in the next weeks, with Punch Out!! being the second. Here, we get DKCR as our second game instead, but the chart showing games being released later on also included Punch Out (along with Pandora's Tower and S&P), so maybe they'll put out the same games, just in different order?

#314791 Who would buy a Wii U now?

Posted by storabajskorven on 17 June 2015 - 05:55 AM in Wii U Hardware

Maybe people who like to play great games like ZombiU, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D World, Monster Hunter 3U and so on. And those, like me, who are looking forward to Xenoblade and Zelda.

Non-specific action figure!

#303592 What Was Your 1st FPS Game and Favorite and WHY?

Posted by storabajskorven on 21 November 2014 - 09:01 AM in General Gaming

The first one for me would be MIDI Maze for the Atari ST (late 80's). Great multiplayer fun! My favourite is either Half Life or Metroid Prime, depending on definitions.

#303046 What kind of TV should I get if gaming is the main use?

Posted by storabajskorven on 16 November 2014 - 12:26 PM in General Gaming

You should look for reviews where gaming is taken into account, things like input lag is not a problem when it comes to films.

#302993 What is the status for the Wii u at the moment?

Posted by storabajskorven on 15 November 2014 - 01:11 PM in General Gaming

Simple, the status for the Wii U at the moment is very good when it comes to exclusives and bad when it comes to multiplats.

#301925 What game has the best storyline ever?

Posted by storabajskorven on 04 November 2014 - 11:47 PM in General Gaming

Grim Fandango. Maybe Space Quest II. And No more heroes has a very good story that fits well with the game.

Just because you have the right doesn't mean you should. I have the right to sell coathangers in front of a maternity clinic but I really shouldn't

You shouldn't, but you shouldn't be punished for it either.

#311349 The European N64/DS/Wii games on the WiiU

Posted by storabajskorven on 01 April 2015 - 09:21 PM in Wii U Games and Software

From the Nintendo Direct, we now know we'll get Pandora's Tower (16 April) and Sin & Punishment (30 April) next as Wii games. And we already have the N64 games DK64 and Super Mario 64 plus the DS games Mario Kart DS and WarioWare Touched available, with a buy-3-get-4 thing until 16 April. Plus we got to know that Paper Mario and Yoshi's Island DS will be coming in May.

Nice.

Read the OP

Ok, I suppose you can call DS2 "hard core". But if it's not "hard core", does that mean we are getting excited over something casual, like Candy Crush...?

Dark Souls 2 would be nice...

So... It's not Dark Souls, because "not hard core", it's not assassin's creed, because "not M rated", it's not Minecraft because "AAA". So... What then? Maybe Final Fantasy is the best guess?
