#224844 I think Bias is the reason for the Wii U's lack of third-party support

Posted by Goose on 20 June 2013 - 09:11 PM in Wii U Hardware

I doubt these companies would make their money back from porting games/DLC to the Wii U. That's why they don't do it, there's no bias, just business.

#224441 New Super Mario Bros U patch.

How do the motion control parts work since the pro controller doesn't have it?

#224440 Warner Bros. Believes In the Wii U

Posted by Goose on 20 June 2013 - 02:11 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Thats what Ubisoft said before and then look what happened. Not holding my breath, for all we know next week they will  drop all support for WiiU all together. though it is some nice news out of all this negativity we have been getting since E3 started.

To be honest I think Ubisoft said that to scare Nintendo into dropping the Wii U price and pushing it hard. If it doesn't pick up by the end of Christmas it could be pretty bad.

#224439 Ubisoft: Rayman went multiplatform as they didn’t think it would sell on Wii U

At least they're honest. Hope the Wii U sales bump up after this Holiday.

#224353 Is it possible for the Xbox One to drop DRM/Used game block?

Posted by Goose on 19 June 2013 - 07:44 PM in General Gaming

Well according to multiple sources today the DRM functionality has been dropped. So... Cool I guess.

Damage has been done.

Also still $100 more expensive because of the Kinect.

#223927 Can you browse the eshop online like PSN?

Posted by Goose on 19 June 2013 - 02:26 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Prices are shown for VC, and Indie games, and games that are download only... click on the title and find the price in the left column underneath the other game specifics. Prices however at not shown if the game available retail/physical. To find those prices, compare it to suggested retail price found in stores.

Did you even bother to look if the prices were available on the eshop online site? Or, do you just like saying Nintendo is behind with their services at will?

Thanks, but I too think it's backwards they don't have ALL their game prices listed. Maybe an agreement with retailers?

#223913 Wii U marketing change (non-specific action-figure etc.)

Posted by Goose on 19 June 2013 - 01:21 AM in Wii U Hardware

I think Nintendo has completly forgotten about advertisments and marketing, I watch quite a lot of TV and I'm still yet to see an advert for Wii U since it released, I saw one about a week before it launched.

I think Nintendo doesn't want to push the Wii U since there are no games on it yet, so they're holding back I guess? That's the only reason I can think of.

Has anyone seen their new ads. OMG they are terrible! It's like they are trying to sell their system to 8 year olds. For crying out loud When you compare the "We would like to play ads" next to them it make the Wii ads look like AC/DC compared to Justin Bieber! Rant over...

Can you find a link to the commercials? I have yet to see them since I don't' watch TV. Do you see them often?

#223902 Can you browse the eshop online like PSN?

Ah well, I am thinking about going all digital when I get my Wii U. Just wanted to look up stuff. Thanks guys

#223900 Where the hell are their NFC and dual gamepad games?

Posted by Goose on 19 June 2013 - 12:10 AM in Wii U Hardware

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that yes, they put NFC in the controller for a reason and will eventually use it. They either don't have a game yet that does or we're not ready to announce one if they do.

Infinity and Giants both use NFC but come with their own bases even in the WiiU versions.

Yeah. I guess it'll only be for first party games.

I was thinking about Infinity and Skylanders using it, but they probably make more money selling their own.

I know you can look up games at Nintendo.com, but it doesn't show prices.

#223764 Where the hell are their NFC and dual gamepad games?

Posted by Goose on 18 June 2013 - 06:30 PM in Wii U Hardware

They don't though, they come with their own bases.

Here's the thing.  Nintendo obviously held back on a lot of things at e3, because their mission going in, along with alternate plans based on what Sony and MS were doing, was to show gameplay.  Not bullshots, not pure CG reels, not conceptual stuff.  Just gameplay.  That is what they did.  They showed us every game that they have that they were comfortable showing a lot of gameplay, and games that they were comfortable with being played on the showfloor.  The only game that wasn't on the show floor was X.

There was no Yarn Yoshi, no SMTxFE, no talk of updates, no talk of hardware, no talk of gamepad, none of that.  They said it was all about the games, and they told the truth 100%.

Well yeah, but we're just wondering if any games use the NFC feature.

Doesnt that new skylanders game announced for wii u use the gamepad nfc?

That's what I would think. Or Disney Infinity. The system was made for those.

#217369 Does Amazon sell counterfeit products?

Posted by Goose on 08 June 2013 - 08:54 AM in Wii U Hardware

Look under the name of the product and it says "by Nintendo"

In the US, Nintendo doesn't sell anything officially on Amazon. So you can only get stuff from third party sellers. Some sellers have knock off products, so it's better to read the reviews. But in the UK they sell officially and that particular product is official.

#203712 Kojima: Metal Gear Solid: Legacy collection (w/ MGS4) might come to Xbox 720

Posted by Goose on 03 May 2013 - 10:21 PM in General Gaming

HD collection is HD collection, and MG Rising is not a MGS.

Point being that MGS came to xbox at a later date, same way MGS4/Legacy collection can his a microsoft console later than the PS3 version.

Hasn't MGS been with japanese consoles? If it comes to the 720, then I can safely assume it will be coming to other consoles.

HD Collection and Rising were on the 360
