#88288 Dual gamepad support coming 'well after launch'

Posted by TomBollandLTD on 17 June 2012 - 12:21 PM in Wii U Hardware

Isn't this mainly because the earlier dev kits only supported one game pad? So the games being released at launch will have started production when only one pad was available?

The top Wii U logo would be the other way up I believe (:

#88298 Mario Kart U

Posted by TomBollandLTD on 17 June 2012 - 02:05 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Companies usually buy all the domains with any sort of name that they could possibly use in the future so that other people don't buy them and then try and charge an absolute ridiculous price to the company releasing the game.

Even though I have no doubt that there will be a Mariokart game, we can't know for sure that it will be here soon, unless something has been said that I've missed out on? In which case, disregard this entire post :P

#88983 Wii U Price Discussion

Posted by TomBollandLTD on 20 June 2012 - 11:42 AM in Wii U Hardware

its leaked in german amazon as a 400 euro console.. NOBODY will buy it, except the nintendo lovers.. it is 200% more expensive than the current and it performs like it, with some better features.

http://www.amazon.de/Nintendo-Wii-U/dp/B004ZKI7EM/ref=sr_tr_sr_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340216310&sr=8-1

as usual, is this not just a place holder...

#88985 What apps do you want on the WiiU

Posted by TomBollandLTD on 20 June 2012 - 11:50 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I don't really want loads of rubbish apps that will just clog the system and make it look just like another messy Android/iPhone.

I'd really like bbc iPlayer and all the TV catchup services we get in the UK though, as I don't have an internet enabled TV, or a PS3, or a way to connect my laptop which isn't a massive hassle :P

Oh, and the family pictionary thing sounds like a great idea for an eShop title!

#88991 Mario Kart U

Posted by TomBollandLTD on 20 June 2012 - 12:05 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Half the fun of mariokart is that the whole order of positions can flip at any moment. I've lost to my younger siblings and friends that have never played before, which makes it such a great game. I hate it when I want to play a friend at a game but I'm too good...

Haha (:

#88996 Epic uses for the Wii U gamepad! (mockups and concepts)

How could they NOT remake/rerelease Pokemon snap?! That would be awesome and work so well!

#89694 LEGO City Stories

Posted by TomBollandLTD on 24 June 2012 - 09:18 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Havn't there already been Lego city games? I remember delivering a pizza to a guy in jail with extra chillies. He used them to breath fire and melt the bars to escape... We're talking probably more than ten years ago by the way..

Edit: Lego island! That's what it was!

#89717 3DS - Wii U Connectivity Speculation Thread

Posted by TomBollandLTD on 24 June 2012 - 12:11 PM in Wii U Hardware

StreetPass With Other 3DS Systems Through the Wii U Console, With No Local Contact

I think that the Wii U will allow you to effectively StreetPass your 3DS data with your friends without having to actually be physically near them.

  • Your Wii U console will download your 3DS StreetPass data.
  • Then Your Wii U console will upload your 3DS StreetPass data to your friends Wii U consoles.
  • Your friends’ Wii U consoles will download their 3DS StreetPass data.
  • Then your friends’ Wii U consoles will upload their 3DS StreetPass Data to your Wii U console.
  • Your Wii U console will then upload the StreetPass data that it downloaded from your friends’ Wii U’s to your 3DS system.
  • Your friends’ Wii U consoles will then upload the 3DS StreetPass data that they downloaded from your Wii U console to their 3DS systems.

Thus, you will be able to StreetPass with them without being physically near them by doing it through the Wii U console.

I think it'll work kind of the opposite of this. The Wii U data will be downloaded to the 3DS, then swapped when passed another 3DS. Identical to regular streetpass as we know it, just that the owner's Wii U would be included too.

#89743 LEGO City Stories

I think I remember flying a helicopter too... That's all I can remember, I used to play it on my mates PC, we must've been seven years old (:

#91139 Would you be disappointed if Nintendo Land and NSMB U don't have online p...

Posted by TomBollandLTD on 01 July 2012 - 01:59 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Leader boards and what not would be good for nintendo land, but I wouldn't want random online playability. Mario would be quite good if it was competitive like it was on DS.

#91142 ZombiU Gameplay Collection

Posted by TomBollandLTD on 01 July 2012 - 02:36 PM in Wii U Games and Software

When I first saw this game I thought it was going to be a bit tonguing cheek...
Now I'm scared if I get it, I'll rainbow myself...

Edit: yep rainbow, that's what'll happen.

#91670 Wii U Multiplayer Idea

Posted by TomBollandLTD on 03 July 2012 - 10:55 AM in Wii U Hardware

I don't think that this would mean we could have more than two controller screens though, the 3DS would just have to replace one of the two game pads. Since we can only have two gamepads due to the processing power blah blah (:

#92246 Microsoft: Wii U just as powerful as 360.

He always has, and always will be, OctoG123. May he and Non-Specific Action Figure rule the world!

Man, OctoG123 and Non-Specific action figure would be the best crime fighting duo around.

#105495 Nintendo Land Franchises

Everybody seems to be slating this game, I'm quite excited to have something my younger sister and even parents would enjoy playing.
Doesn't anybody remember the Warioware games? They were great (:

#106660 Video chat

Posted by TomBollandLTD on 12 September 2012 - 04:52 PM in Wii U Hardware

Video chat will be a cool feature. I do agree that video chat during games needs to be available. Maybe the other person will show up in a small box in the corner of the touch pad, or T.V. screen. The only time that I would do this though would be for playing games online with friends.

Yeah that'd be great, because then you'd get a great view up their nose!

It was mentioned in our Nintendo Direct about the ZombiU bundle and I'm quite happy with the price personally, How much are the bundles in the US? Because our prices in pounds are usually the same as your prices are in dollars.
