In order to save some character slots, some of the clones should be made alternate costumes.if we really want more variety with characters, this would have to be a sacrifice. Meaning Lucas, Falco, Wolf, etc won't have an adjusted moveset to their counterpart. It will purely be aesthetic. Ganondorf would need to have his own set since he isn't related to Falcon. This leaves room for new characters, plus makes it easier to balance the game without having too many variations of one moveset.

Bayonetta would be cool, but she's too suggestive.

Smash Bros. Wii U is being co-developed by Namco Bandai, and is a "big priority for the company", Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada can confirm.

In an interview with NowGamer, Harada explained the true scale of Namco's massive joint effort with Nintendo.

"Obviously it’s a big priority for the company," Harada explained, "so company-wide there are a lot of people involved with that particular project. Not just from Tekken but a lot of our franchises. "

Harada continued, "Although our main core staff is busy with Tekken Tag tournament 2 and trying to finish that up, I do think we’ll support the initiative in some kind of capacity."

We also asked Harada if he knew of any Namco characters who would be appearing in Smash Bros. Wii U.

Harada responded, "That question was one of the most frequently asked questions we got when we announced the project. Especially from abroad."

"The fans, rather than asking about Tales or Gundam, or some of our other franchises, the fans abroad saw Tekken as one of the key words and took off on that."

"We’re not really sure at this moment but when thinking of the playerbase who is playing Smash Bros, maybe Tekken characters is something they wouldn’t want, so I’ve been pulling back on that a bit. But I don’t know."

We'll have more on Smash Bros. Wii U as it happens.

I say NO to Tekken characters. Tales! Tales! Tales!

If there is to be a Tales representative, I'm almost positive Cress Albane from the first game on SNES will be the one. But that's if we have a Tales representative.

They'd tone her down, like they did with Snake in Brawl. Keep in mind that SSB is a teen-rated franchise, too.

Snake doesn't have a sexual appearance. It's easy to tone someone down by preventing them from using overly-violent animations. Besides, Bayonetta wouldn't be Bayonetta if she couldn't do half the things she does in the game, so she'd be a wasted character. Snake doesn't have to use guns to be Snake.

And you don't need to tell me SSB is teen-rated. Smash gets its rating by the violence, not by the content.

#104708 Wii U Price Discussion

Posted by Press on 05 September 2012 - 09:42 PM in Wii U Hardware

If it's $250-300 my cheap radar will go off and detect that this probably isnt gonna be a very powerful machine.

so even though i dont want to pay more than $300 at least i would know that its actually gonna be pretty damn strong in the hardware department if its more that $300.

This is a good point.

Thing is, Nintendo goes for the innovative factor before graphical. HD graphics is really an incentive to Nintendo, but they know SOME people care more for graphics than gameplay, so they try to net a bigger audience this time around. If the Wii U is even on par with PS360, it would mean using older technology and not really costing that much to manufacture each console.

A new system using older technology shouldn't have to be pricey to say much.

Sensitive replies in this thread?

Anyway, more power to Gearbox and Wii U. Not too much a fan of Aliens, but I have watched the movies.

#134652 Wii U 'Has A Horrible, Slow CPU' Says Metro Last Light Dev

Posted by Press on 20 November 2012 - 11:51 AM in Wii U Hardware

This isn't about the GPU this is about CPU of the system two different things one is visual and the other(CPU) well can affect visual also affect gameplay itself.
GPU from everything that been said is great .

Right... I know this, so what are you telling me, exactly.

#134677 Wii U 'Has A Horrible, Slow CPU' Says Metro Last Light Dev

Posted by Press on 20 November 2012 - 12:12 PM in Wii U Hardware

Well this thread has nothing to do with graphics its about the CPU so your post was kinda odd.

But like you said, CPU outout can have an effect on graphics how a developer may make a game.

The Wii U got lots of hate before we even knew anything about it, so I doubt anti-fanboys will research much to find a reason to belittle the console. Even as we discuss, they are rubbing the issues in our faces.

Meh. I ain't no power freak like some people. If Wii U can have games even with PS360 graphics, I would be satisfied. I dunno why people expected Nintendo to dish out extreme graphics that could beat Durango and Orbis. It's innovation Nintendo cares about.

#93015 Wii U CPU confirmed (by respected game producer) As weak.

Evidently, people are really bent out of shape because the Wii U isn't the best piece of machinery.

#110915 I just can't support most of the launch titles...

Posted by Press on 21 September 2012 - 06:23 AM in Wii U Hardware

I agree with a lot that is being said. The launch doesn't look fantastic to those who expect Smash or Zelda, but as it was mentioned, it hogs sales for 3rd party titles. Having prestigious first party titles doesn't necessarily sell the system right away for people with little to no income. So knowing the price now let's lesser fortunate people to save money. So they have time.

#110828 I just can't support most of the launch titles...

Posted by Press on 20 September 2012 - 09:04 PM in Wii U Hardware

Oh yeah, they are definitely NOT going to launch the Wii U with super duper awesome-tastic prestigious games. I'm not that excited for the launch lineup either, so like me, Mignaga, and a few others, wait it out. If you don't really need it right now, don't frustrate yourself dealing with the chaos of getting the console Day 1.

Mario sells.

They aren't gonna give his fat ass a break!

But give GreatestGamer a break. He only gave an opinion so don't be so hard on him. My opinion isn't too different from his, but I do realize what Nintendo did with the lineup is for the best. I am personally shocked and impressed.
