a hard core gamer would embrase controller evolvution not stand in its way the very controls they play on exist because of nintendos controller evolution if it didnt first happen at nintendo then it wouldnt have happened at all it would be qwerty keyboard and kemston joysticks to control games

is it old tech thats core or new tech thats core, because last time i checked wifi and flash was cutting edge, and wired cdonections are 10s of decades old as is harddrive tech...!!?
so antique is now the CORE sorry wifi and flash are the cutting edge long lengths of wire and 1950s harddrives need to be put to sleep LOL

aliens wiiu has better graphics than x360 and again futher visduals on the pad its clear wiiu utterly destoys xbox 360 and iwata confirmed 50% of wiiu power being used by devs at this point

there totally scared of nintendo instead of enbrasing nintendos hardware as a way to make money its mostly the american industry that does this ,its beyond childish and pathetic

Has anyone even thought of this yet? I don't want my Wii U to end up like my first Xbox 360. The Wii U looks very compact and with the power everyone's talking about, I'm sure its gonna give off some heat. The case looks like it lets in very very little air and the vents look like clog central. But I'm a paranoid person just thinking of worst case scenario.
What do you guys think?
theres a company name on the wiiu its NINTENDO i think thats quality assurance enough consdidering i can go to any car boot sale and buy ether nes and snes or n64 in 100% working order LOL @ THIS nintendos build qaulity has won awards and is miles ahead of any other console maker in human history
i still have a version 1 gamecube with digital out the very early ones

The Wii U is a dedicated console. It is designed by Nintendo to be very powerful, but also very efficient.
consider the new Macbook Pro with Retina Display. The laptop is nearly as thin as an iPad, but it has a quad core i7 CPU, an Nvidia Kepler GPU, 16GB RAM and solid state storage.
It is in a case which is many square inches smaller than the Wii U.
Apple keeps it cool. cool enough to be a pro level machine to last for a decade or more.
Nintendo will have no cooling issues with Wii U.
Nintendo systems don't overheat. If they ever did, it's extremely rare.
Wii U has massive venting in place, has internal fans and new manufacturing processes.
It will be extremely powerful and run plenty cool.
Zero worries here.
This is a company that takes great care to make quality products.
Not Microsoft, who wants to cram it together, make a few bucks and let the consumers work out their kinks for them.
You ever open up your N64 or Gamecube? They're a thing of beauty on the inside. Try doing that with peer systems like PSX or Xbox. Yuck (although the Wii itself is somewhat of a backwards step here).

That is built into the Power architecture. It will underclock, go to sleep and even shut cores down as needed to save power and in turn run even cooler.
There will be zero cooling issues here, out side of the few freaks of nature that happen to any hardware manufacturer.
but it won't be a cobbled together Xbox 360 that fry's itself to death within a few months.
the gamecube board is a thing of complete wonder its gorgous iv actually considered taking a gamecube apart and having the inners framed put it on the wall that console was designed by GOD

its anti nintendoism that is to blame and sadly its not going away but those guilty of it are going away there all loosing money and dieing a slow death the industry see's nintendo as competition not format its not going to change,how many times do they say only nintendo games sell on the nintendo systems ,what that actually means is we cannot compete with nintendo ,they need to accept this fact get over it move on and make games that sell and profit thats there problem not nintendos...
im actually piiissed with nintendo they could have nuked the industry this gen took it out completly but they backed of there disruption plan was working it could have been biblical nes destroyed the usa computer industry in the 80s wii could have seriously took out EA and just about everyone ,dont get me wrong sony was destroyed and a lot of 3rd partys but its like nintendo sucked them dry but didnt kill the victim kept it alive i would have destroyed them all and re stasrted gaming from scratch
3rd partys are not going to back wii remote plus and gamepad it will be as usual with these men in suit birdmen who dont have a single clue about gaming
whilst sony and ms had a hardrive size war nintendo saved gaming lol at harddrive size war you couldnt make up how dumb this industry is

Thats awesome and all but i thought the WiiU would use a POWER7.Not a PowerPc but A POWER7 and yes they are two totally different chps.
its powerpc and its a newer version of powerpc 750 / 400 series its not power7 if it was then maybe a single core 4x thread if power7 at all the powerpc in that mars drone is only 200mhz

- another game example: players cut ropes holding up a wall by shooting arrows or throwing stars from their crossbow
- cut down as many walls as possible in a race to the finish
- co-op example shows both players looking at the same cave scene initially, but then splitting up to explore different areas
- another example: players control propeller-like objects and avoid obstacles and walls as they fall down a shaft
- setup can work even when both screens are positioned next to each othe
- system can rapidly alternate activation of each sensor bar to avoid interference
- allows for more players as well
not only can you wii remote from one screen to the other its now confirmed tv screen and gamepad screen multi play is also doable its looking more and more likely that multi tasking and even sererate use of gamepad and tv and console will be doable im hoping for wii remote and nunchuck gaming and tv screen and gamepad acting as a hud/info/voice chat secondery unit like say COD and wii remote instead of just the gamepad
