#121442 Virtue's Last Reward: Game Breaking Bug

Posted by Lord N on 25 October 2012 - 01:49 PM in General Gaming

No need to panic. Just save as she described and you may make it through the game unscathed. It froze on me once and i then had to restart from my last AB room check point. They have got to patch this!

#118314 Wii Talk, U Listen Episode 2 Out Now!

This was fun. I look forward to future podcasts.

#116723 Do you reckon developers visit this forum for research?

Posted by Lord N on 11 October 2012 - 11:26 AM in General Gaming

I dont think Developers glance over here, but staticians from different R&D departments do for a living. They are the guys that make surveys and gather information based on public opinion and what not. Eventually, a lot of this information gets passed over to the main Devs. Its research from internet, magazines, interviews and surveys.

#116720 First Monster Hunter Ultimate Wii U Trailer!

Posted by Lord N on 11 October 2012 - 11:21 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Wow as a non Monster Hunter fan, this actually looks really good. Maybe you're right Cerb, maybe I gotta play with others to get the full experience. Although this game looks like it can hold its own weight in the single player..jeezus!

#115777 Wii U Demo Interface

Posted by Lord N on 07 October 2012 - 07:19 PM in Wii U Hardware

I've already confirmed AT Nintendo World, that it will NOT be the final interface and its just the demo selection screen. Also, there will be more demos as time goes on. I wasn't aware there were any New Yorkers other than Tsuchinoko, Noonabites. TrickySx4 and myself on this forum. Interesting.

#115738 Europeans! Will you spoil the games you want on nov 18?

Posted by Lord N on 07 October 2012 - 03:33 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I'd spoil myself for you if I were anywhere else, sorry man.

#115521 Launch day: What are you buying?

Posted by Lord N on 07 October 2012 - 12:41 AM in Wii U Hardware

What does it matter what I'm gonna buy? What matters is what YOU'RE gonna buy. I'm gettin games. Nough said.

the hostility isnt towards anyone really, so dont take it to offense. I'm just sick of the same topic scattered in just about every thread.

#115370 Just Played The Wii U :)

Posted by Lord N on 06 October 2012 - 11:42 AM in Wii U Hardware

Actually Noonabites and I recently demo'd the Wii U. Yesterday actually. I confirmed that a 3DS XL stylus will fit into the gamepad stylus slot. I also have many comparison photos as to the size of the game pad to the size of the wiimotes. I also confirmed that the screen of the gamepad is actually the size of the entire 3DS XL handheld. The grip is comfortable and The gamepad is a lot lighter than i expected.

I only had the opportunity to demo Rayman Legends, but that game utilizes gamepad functionality very very well. Its a great game to demo the Wii U with. Unfortunately thats all they had but I will be going every week to demo a new game so stay tuned for updates on other demos. Here are some photos i took while at Nintendo World NYC.

She also took a video, but this is all I can manage for now. Any questions please ask.

#114422 Mysterious Wii U HD Experience -- Mario Kart? (could be fake)

Posted by Lord N on 02 October 2012 - 11:50 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Mann...this is SO LAME! I could make a more convincing fake than this. Look at the jagged lines on that 1st place marker. The map on the game pad looks pasted on..not to mention the idea of it just having a map is already lame-o. I would have it so that you can choose from an inventory and then have it so you can switch to a map if need be.

I am dissapoint.

#114419 Hello new friends!

Posted by Lord N on 02 October 2012 - 11:41 AM in Introduction Central

NOrth east all the way my friend! Welcome Fej, you've just walked into the most interesting forum of your life time. We are all here waiting patiently for the coming of the Wii U. Pre-ordering a Pro controller is something I actually didn't think of. As for titles to recommend, sure I have a few, Ninja Gaiden 3 and Batman Arkham City. Although these are ports..there's a ton of add-on content to these. Beyonetta 2 looks good as well.

Anyway, Enjoy the forums and join us as we wait for the coming of our savior, Nintendo Wii U!

#114275 GOTY versions of games being ported to Wii U?

Posted by Lord N on 01 October 2012 - 07:40 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I dont see it happening. At least not GOTY editions. I think they deal with the equivalent of those on an individual basis, but I also think those are special cases. Let me explain myself. I don't think Nintendo will have a name for its GOTYE equivalent that it will brand on all games that are ported over with all DLC content. That's where the individual basis thing comes in. I believe that yes, in the future there will be more of these games like Black Ops on the Wii U that will bring all the DLC and more.

I feel as though im contradicting my own arguement. Ok to finally leave my 2 cents, no, i dont believe we will see Skyrim or borderlands 2 on the Wii U with all provided DLC...or even at all for that matter. Why do I feel this way? I just do. Argue that!

#112616 New and stuff

Posted by Lord N on 26 September 2012 - 03:36 PM in Introduction Central

Welcome Z-751. Lucky for you, this forum isn't as huge as it may seem and many people actually visit the introduction topic =]. As for not introducing yourself, i suppose we can let it slide. I mean after all, you did it now right?=D

Enjoy the forums!

Oh..to get back to you on how you should go about getting your Wii U without a pre-order, well your best bet is to camp. It's what me and a couple others are doing to guarantee ourselves a console on launch day, and better yet, to be first to get one. Depending on where you live, 24 in advance should be ample time to secure yourself a Wii U. As for me, I'm getting mine at Nintendo World in NYC so we will be there 48 hours in advance to secure ourselves a Wii U for each.

Might seem like overkill to some, but it all depends on your availability and dedication to the cause. Good luck getting yours.

#112913 Greetings from a metalhead gamer

Posted by Lord N on 26 September 2012 - 11:04 AM in Introduction Central

Welcome Dark Link! As you can already tell, there are a few metal-heads in the forum that share both your passions (metal & Nintendo). I'm a metal head too =D, but I prefer metal-core bands like Parkway Drive, As I Lay Dying, Asking Alexandria, August Burns Red, UnEarth and many many others. Of course my special recipe of music genres is not limited to that specific flavor. I also enjoy many different indie bands, and for the most part different OSTs from various games/ animes such as: (Cowboy Bebop,Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, etc.).

Anywho, I kind of got carried away with telling you about myself, when in reality we'd all like to know more about yourself =]. In the mean time, enjoy the forums and wait with us for the coming of our savior...the Wii U.

#111864 What 3DS Game is Better?

Posted by Lord N on 23 September 2012 - 08:33 AM in General Gaming

I own most of these games, some of them i had to sell, but i once owned pretty much all of them cept super monkey ball. The one's i own(d) are highlighted.

  • Super Mario 3D Land - Probably one of my favorites. Its just really good.
  • Mario Kart 7 - Probably the funnest game you can get. Graphics are good and you get to play with us online!
  • Kid Icarus: Uprising - Really fun game! Alot better than I expected and has online too. (online is really hard =[)
  • Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance - Probably one of the longest 3DS games I've ever played. It's just an awesome game.
  • Mario Tennis Open - Very fun, i don't own it but I've played it and it captures even players who don't play tennis!
  • Sonic Generations - Very reminiscent of the old sonic days. If you like Sonic 1,2.3 & knuckles, you will enjoy this.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - AMazing revamp to this game. I recommend it if you don't have friends you want to play with.
  • Star Fox 64 3D - IS AWESOME!!! but short, and no online, only local multiplayer.
  • Super Monkey Ball 3D - never played this, but ill tell you right now its not even worth mentioning.

You missed a couple good titles but I'll do you the solid of listing them for you:
    - Resident Evil: Revelations - GREAT replay value and story is really good.I recommend this.
    - Metal Gear Solid 3D - If you've never played it on the ps2, you should pick this up.
    - Tetris Axis - If you're into puzzle games, this game offers plenty of different gameplay styles. Has online & local multiplayer.
    - New Super Mario Bros. 2 - If you've played one NSMB, then you've played em all. This one is coin orientated and looks to be pretty fun when trying to reach the 1 million coin goal.

So there you have it. Of course it depends on your preference of style and game-play, but here you have a nice compiled list with descriptions giving you recommendations. If you like racing, go for Mario Kart 7. If you like fighting, I didn't list it but there's Tekken, Super Street Fighter 4, & Dead or Alive Dimensions. If you're a tactical guy and you like to shoot things and strategize, Metal Gear or Resident Evil might be a good fit for you. If you're into thoss mass attack games like Sin & Punishment, then Kid Icarus is your fit. For everything else....theres Mario =].

Hope this helps you decide for yourself. Others may have their own opinions about whats lame and whats great, but ultimately its how you feel about the game. Think it through, choose wisely.
