#294458 Malaysian Passenger Plane Shot Down with 295 on board

Wow this is messed up. I was following that story intently when it first happened. I thought they would never find out what really happened.

#294461 If you were in charge on Nintendo...

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 29 July 2014 - 10:35 PM in Wii U Hardware

If I was in charge I would make Super Metroid HD and Super Mario Sunshine 2 as launch titles for the Super Nintendo 2 HD. All games will run at 120 FPS with 4K resolution.

Are you talking about the missing plane or the bombed plane?

The missing one from a couple months ago.

#294541 If you were in charge on Nintendo...

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 30 July 2014 - 02:17 PM in Wii U Hardware

I have to say this way too much but here I go again:

Making the Wii u more powerful won't attract third parties. It's just an excuse. If the Wii u was the most powerful system this gen, they would  come up with some other reason why they "definitely can't" develop for Wii U even though they would just love to.

I think this is true, but what is the real reason why third parties avoid Nintendo now? Install base? Casual reputation? Somehow I doubt it is just that. There has to be something else too.

#294558 If you were in charge on Nintendo...

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 30 July 2014 - 07:27 PM in Wii U Hardware

Mostly? A little bit of everything. Nintendo is the competition, Nintendo has a very high quality standards, Microsoft and Sony depend on and fellatio the third parties, etc.

I think ot has a little to do with threputation and a little more to do with the previous ceo saying multiplat companies suck.

I think the other companies are actually trying to run Nintendo into the ground. By doing all of this it really is hurting them. They might be trying to once and for all get rid of them as a whole.

#294561 If you were in charge on Nintendo...

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 30 July 2014 - 07:43 PM in Wii U Hardware

I wouldn't be surprised if that is their end goal. Fortunately they're doing a bad job of it.

I just want Nintendo to be as big as they were when I was a kid. The Wii U is doing a fantastic job of that with games. The games I have played so far have insane amount of quality put into them and have me feeling like it's a modern day SNES. If it wasn't for all this other crap going on and how Nintendo handled the casual market transitioning I feel like they would be on top like the great days of gaming.

#294563 If you were in charge on Nintendo...

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 30 July 2014 - 07:50 PM in Wii U Hardware

They still are on top. They've made the most off gaming than any other company. The only place they're really "losing" is in their reputation.

Are they? I thought both XOne and PS4 sold more consoles. They might have made more money in gaming alone, but it's obvious that most people own the other consoles.

#294565 Hey guys!

Welcome!! Hope you have a nice time and stay until you die. See ya!

#294569 If you were in charge on Nintendo...

Not sure about Xbone. PS4 definitely, but it's still early days, and Nintendo has more behind them with a bigger upcoming lineup.

Also 3DS blows the sales of any other system from ths gen out of the water.

Forgot about the 3DS, it has killed everything. The Wii U lineup is impressive too, so hyped for Smash and Splatoon. And YWW. The only games I am looking forward to for the others are MGS5 and Alien:Isolation

#294573 If you were in charge on Nintendo...

Ugh. When I see the word Alien it makes me think of colonial marinies. Trigger warning next time please.

I think this one will be way better. It's a survival horror.

#294580 High capacity battery?

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 30 July 2014 - 09:12 PM in Wii U Hardware

I was thinking about buying a better battery for my Gamepad, but I decided to just get a Pro Controller in a couple weeks. If I wanna play in my friends room, before bed, or when I bring my Wii U to work I will use the Gamepad.

#294675 Hi everyone!

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 31 July 2014 - 05:32 PM in Introduction Central

Welcome!! It's nice to see someone come back to the true side of gaming. Lol. I hope you do stay here for a while and post a lot. Also definitely get a Wii U, so many good games and still a lot to come.

#294696 Hi everyone!

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 31 July 2014 - 09:51 PM in Introduction Central

Also, I used to have a Nintendo Wii a couple years back. I sold it because I thought I wouldn't play it anymore (big mistake, as I regret it dearly). I wanted to replay the Mario Galaxy series, and play SmashBros Brawl again. I feel like I didn't appreciate Brawl as much back then, but now I'm excited more than ever to play it again. Good thing the WiiU is backwards compatible

I have sold a lot as a kid. I never sell anything now since I was a teen because I would always want to play everything again and buy whatever I sold over again. I just keep everything now and I never had that problem. I wanna play a game and I don't have to worry about finding or buying it again.

So don't sell your stuff anymore. You will thank yourself in the future for sure.

#294713 Would you buy more remakes of Pokemon?

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 01 August 2014 - 12:51 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Main series Pokemon should always be on portables and Gamefreak sees it like that as well as they have stated many times. You can't take a console with you anywhere and trade people you meet or battle with them that's something a portable can only do and those are the things the series was based around since the beginning. Being able to take it and interact with people while in different places. It's just never gonna happen and it's time people just accept that fact.

This is strange, what happens when they wanna do it? He wouldn't know how to use that little thing. And what if he got her pregnant? He would be a father at like 10 or 11. Lol.

#294745 A 9-year old boy married a 62 year old woman

Guys generally don't go through puberty that early, so...

Right now, he's probably too small for them to do it (if you know what I mean) and he'd probably be closer to 13 get anyone preggo.

But she's 62, so she's already gone through menopause. Kids ain't happening.

So sad, she will probably die too before he gets to do anything with his own wife.

#294765 Will smash bros be bad for Hyrule?

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 01 August 2014 - 08:50 PM in Wii U Games and Software

It might, if people only have enough to buy one game then it's more than likely they will choose Smash. I know I would. Then again I'm not a fan of those hack n slash types.

#294766 Wii still able to download VC / Netflix?

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 01 August 2014 - 08:53 PM in General Gaming

I'm pretty sure that the VC still works on the Wii. I have no idea about Netflix though, it should work if you can get Netflix through the Wii Shop Channel I think.

#294831 Would you buy more remakes of Pokemon?

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 02 August 2014 - 09:15 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I keep hearing that reason, but I'm one of the few that have never taken pokemon games with me just to interact with others except once at a gamestop tournament back before online battling was even an option. the fact that all aspects of pokemon has gone online, imo debunks the belief in local interaction.

now i would like to know from everyone here, how many of you have taken your game out and met up with random people to interact? and no spot pass doesn't count

During elementary school I would always sneak my Gameboy to school to battle and trade. And throughout my first year of High School I used to take two buses and a train to get to school at the time of Gen 4. Almost everyday me and another kid I met on the train who didn't even go to the same school as me would battle and trade whenever we were in the same train car. I used to go to Nintendo World a lot too a little over a year ago and I would also interact with Pokemon players too. For me the series has always fulfilled the aspect of going out and interacting in real life.

I do have to point out that this was all in New York so there are more people and it's easier to do such a thing.

#294832 How long will Gamepad last, literally?

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 02 August 2014 - 09:21 PM in Wii U Hardware

I'm wondering how long will the Gamepad last? Like the streaming tech behind it. How long does whatever it uses to stream the game to it last, 5 years, 10 years? This interests me because I don't think something like that would last very long and then eventually over time the Wii U would turn into a standard system like past ones where you can only use the Pro Controller and not the Gamepad.

#294834 Trouble at Nintendo, staff not happy with Iwata and want to replace him

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 02 August 2014 - 09:55 PM in Wii U Games and Software

So proud of Iwata not giving in to it. Nintendo doesn't need to be on mobile. That's just stupid and waste of time and money. Nintendo's going through tough times, but they will get out of it eventually. I don't see why they need to get rid of the President for that. If they get rid of him and start putting it on mobile then what's next, other consoles? They need to first do everything they can with the Wii U and make sure the next console is perfect before anything else.

#294836 How long will Gamepad last, literally?

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 02 August 2014 - 10:02 PM in Wii U Hardware

It's Nintendo, have they ever made a system that can't last 20+ years if handled correctly?

Very true, all my systems still work perfectly with excessive use, but I can't help but have the feeling it won't last even that long. The system yes, Gamepad maybe not.

#294842 How long will Gamepad last, literally?

Posted by Tsuchinoko on 02 August 2014 - 10:31 PM in Wii U Hardware

The only thing in the Gamepad to really worry about going out is the LCD screen. They burn out eventually still it's Nintendo and LCD can still last a good while. I would not worry unless you are really hard on it.

Don't LCDs last for like hundreds of thousands of hours? I'm definitely not worried about that.
