There seems to be a lot of new characters that will be coming to the next Smash Brothers, and it seems that every smasher out there is already making character wish lists. Since I am a huge Smash Bros. fan, and a huge Sonic nerd, I have decided that I will only talk about the Sonic characters that I hope to be in this game.

Let's take it back to Brawl. You guys remember the character selection screen of that game, right? You notice how every column consists of 4 characters from the same series in one column? For example: The first column contained Mario, Luigi, Peach and Bowser. Column 3 contained Link, Zelda/Sheik, Ganondorf and Toon Link. And one column contained Pikachu, Pokemon Trainer, Lucario and Jigglypuff. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that, in the next Smash Brothers, I hope they do that as well with a column containing 4 Sonic characters. If they do that, I will be discussing the three new Sonic characters that I hope they put in this game and what they're Final Smashes could possibly be.


#1. Shadow the Hedgehog
We all saw this coming in my list. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they did put Shadow in this game. He's only the most requested Sonic character to be in the next Smash Bros. ever since Sonic appeared in Brawl. Shadow being the "Ultimate Life Form" and all, will be a very fit choice for this game. His fighting style would seem to be fun and enjoyable to play around with. For Shadow, his Final Smash will most likely be the "Chaos Blast."


#2. Knuckles the Echidna
Knuckles, I think, has a pretty big chance of being included in this game. Some people request him. Some don't. But in this case, I am. Knuckles should definitely be in this game simply because Knuckles is pretty much born to fight. His fighting style would be plain and simple. Punch, punch and punch some more. I would say his best recovery would be gliding, what he usually does throughout the Sonic games. I don't have too much of an idea of what his Final Smash might be. But if anything, I will just say maybe his "Thunder Arrow" attack from Sonic Adventure 2.


#3. Blaze the Cat
I'm not going to lie here. I am kind of doubting they will put Blaze in this game, but this is called a "Wish List" for a reason. Ever since Blaze's debut in Sonic Rush, she turned out to be a pretty cool and likable character. She's basically Sonic's counterpart in another dimension. Since Blaze is almost as fast as Sonic, I think she would be a very fun character to play as, and a great choice for this game. Like I said before, she is almost as fast as Sonic, she seems to have pretty cool moves from what I see in the Sonic games, plus, she can freaking control fire! (Hence the name: "Blaze"). I don't know about you guys, but I say she would be a perfect fit for this game. She IS (in my opinion) pretty much one of the only useful female Sonic characters, if not, then THE most useful and I think she deserves some more recognition. Since there isn't much to think of for Blaze's Final Smash, I will just go with her super form known as "Burning Blaze." What I imagine it would be is basically a fire version of "Super Sonic."


So there's my wish list. I hope most of you will agree with these choices, but if not then show me some feedback! Tell me what you think of these choices, if you agree or disagree. I know many people will tell me something like "What about Tails?" Well to be perfectly honest, I can't see Tails fighting in this game. I just don't see him in a fighting game like this, or what his moves would be. Anyways, thanks for reading my wish list if you did take the time to read the whole thing.

I was also thinking that since this game is coming for the Wii U, they would have to do something with the gamepad. I was thinking maybe if the person with the gamepad could be able to control Master Hand and do all sorts of stuff with him. If that's not the case then maybe the person with the gamepad can control what goes around on the stage such as spawning items all over the place and/or spawning platforms or something (kind of like New Super Mario Bros. U) and if they were to bring the PictoChat stage back, the person with the gamepad could do all kinds of stuff with that. I don't know. I just thought that would sound cool.

I want Hornet the Daytona Car to replace Sonic.

Does the fact that the game is also for the 3DS means that the version for the wii u will suck?

What? Sorry, but that doesn't even make sense. From what I'm hearing, both versions will be mostly the same. Heck, I even heard that you can connect the 3DS to the Wii U and play Smash Bros. with your friends that way.

I meant to ask if that the version will be on the wii u is going to be like the 3ds version and because of that it will have bad controls and it won't play like a home console and it won't have many options so it will suck.

Don't count on it. Remember, this is a Nintendo franchise meant to focus mostly on Nintendo IPs. Sonic the Hedgehog is not a Nintendo IP so don't expect any other characters besides Sonic himself to be playable from the series.

Yeah I know, but I'm not hoping for a whole lot of Sonic characters. Maybe like 3 more. I would even be satisfied even if they only put in 1 more. But otherwise, oh well.

Hey everybody! I'm just here on a thought that I'd like to share with you guys! So you all remember that horrible failure known as Sonic 06, right? I was thinking that since that game was originally supposed to be released in 2007 (but the butthurt fans were impatient imbeciles therefore SEGA rushed to get the game done within 2006), I was thinking since the game is practically unfinished, what if they made some remastered version where they ironed out all of the glitches, upped the animations in the cutscenes and sped the characters up more (especially Silver...like...my god could he go any freaking slower...on second thought I don't want to know)? I think it would have a possibility to revitalize its chance of actually being a good game. Tell me what you guys think! I think it would be a great idea to do this due to how much failure and humiliation Sonic had ever since the game was released. Tell me your guys' thoughts!

I personally wish Sonic team should work on another Billy Hatcher or spruce the game up and put it on the 3DS before trying to remake a terrible game.
I think they should try 2.5D Sonic game. From what I know, most of the 3D/recent Sonic games aren't that great.

Actually ever since Sonic Unleashed came out, SEGA has been going back on track in terms of Sonic games. In fact the most recent one, Sonic Generations, is my #1 favorite 3D Sonic game today

There is still the problem of Sonic hooking up with a human. That would have to change...

Sonic 06 doesn't need to be remade. In fact, it probably would not sell if it did.

Also, it's not like Sonic the Hedgehog went to hell altogether after that. Secret Rings, Black Knight, Unleashed, Colours, Generations and even other things like Riders and All-Stars Racing are fun.

But as we all know, I'd prefer that SEGA revive Wonder Boy. DO EET!

I thought the plot was okay...meh...and I'm glad that the timeline of that game was erased...even though upon it being erased it means that we went through all of that pain and suffering for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in terms for the story of the Sonic series...but oh well.

Sonic 06 was the first Sonic game I ever played.... It pretty much scared me off of the series until I finally built up the nerve to give Sonic Colors a try a year or two ago. I say we should just do our best to forget that 06 ever happened.

Funny thing is, in terms of the story, Sonic 06 never did happen XD

Hey everybody! I'm definitely here with an ORIGINAL thread that I obviously came up with by myself! Hurr durr. Anyways, this is a topic of what characters you are hoping for in the next Smash Brothers game. I know there are tons of threads on this website about this topic already, but I'm bored as heck so I might as well make one of my own.
