#207626 Elder Scrolls on Wii U?

Posted by LaserSWE on 16 May 2013 - 04:03 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Bethesda has never supported a Nintendo platform

#206565 Favourite Nintendo 64 Games

Posted by LaserSWE on 13 May 2013 - 06:16 AM in General Gaming

There was not that many great games for the N64 so my bet is that this thread will have a lot of the same games mentioned in every post..

Myself define N64 with Rareware-games, although i find Goldeneye unplayable today it was great back then, but their other games are still good. Even though i never liked Donkey Kong 64. The best was problably Diddy Kong Racing.

Also the Zelda-games, Paper Mario, Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire and Super Mario 64.

#206315 Nintendo E3 2013 Lineup

Posted by LaserSWE on 12 May 2013 - 03:31 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Due to Nintendo already having confirmed most games (although not yet showed them) i am more excited about what third-party will bring up (mostly Capcom and Sega). But it definetely will be great to see how the next Mario will look like. And what is Retro Studios working on? This is the time to spill those beans Nintendo!

#206295 Favorite Pixar film?

Posted by LaserSWE on 12 May 2013 - 01:23 AM in The Café

Toy Story 3 & Up are great. Finding Nemo was entertaining and felt a lot like classic Disney.

The other ones im not very fond of.

#206294 Lego Batman 2 DC Super Heroes May 21st - Good Deal Here

Posted by LaserSWE on 12 May 2013 - 01:18 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Did anyone really want this game coming to WiiU?

This was released last year, why release it now? Hopefully Warner Bros won't complain about the sale figures once it's released, everyone has moved on from Batman lego

One cant really complain when a third party show.. any support. The Lego-games also have a long lifespan in terms of sales and are mostly directed towards families that well.. just dont care if it had a earlier releasedate on some other platform.

I will get the game for many reasons, mostly because i havent played it before but also because its so obvious that publishers are testing the Wii U market with these enchanted ports. Same with Square Enix and Deus Ex. You want Tomb Raider: Directors Cut? Well, your best chance of getting that is to get Deus Ex first. Thats just how it works. Its a market. The market is the only one who can decide if Wii U will get support or not.

#206293 Sega Smash Bros? Would you like to see one?

Posted by LaserSWE on 12 May 2013 - 01:12 AM in General Gaming

I bet that could turn out as a awesome game. They have some great content to build upon, just look at Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. That game makes me think that Nintendo should make Mario Kart a "Nintendo-universe" racer as well and not only build it upon the Mario Bros-series.

#206292 Sega seems happy with the Wii U, Has 7 releases planned for the system

Posted by LaserSWE on 12 May 2013 - 01:10 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Ah, Dreamcast-games on Virtual Console would be so great!

#206290 The official "What games should I get?" Thread

Posted by LaserSWE on 12 May 2013 - 01:01 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Will get Ninja Gaiden 3 next, after that i basically have all the must have games. Thinking about getting Amazing Spider-Man or 007 Legends after that, anyone picked them up? Are they worth 30 bucks?

#205772 Sega seems happy with the Wii U, Has 7 releases planned for the system

Posted by LaserSWE on 10 May 2013 - 10:42 AM in Wii U Games and Software

So... Demon Tribe and? There has been rumours about a new Super Monkey Ball and was it last week that it was "leaked" that they are developing a new Sonic game? Either way exciting news! Love Sega!

#205645 Shadow of the Eternals

Posted by LaserSWE on 09 May 2013 - 10:56 PM in Wii U Games and Software

It seems like the funding-campaign is failing quite harshly

Hopefully Nintendo will pick it up and release it as a retail Eternal Darkness 2.

#205644 Wii U Wishlist

Posted by LaserSWE on 09 May 2013 - 10:47 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Tomb Raider: Directors Cut (Possibly developed by Straight Right)

Starfox Adventures U (HD Remake or Sequel, either way)

Metroid Prime 4 (Preferably being more of a FPA then a FPS, like the original)

The Legend of Zelda (Such as it was shown in the Wii U Tech Demo)

Two Worlds III (With Reality Pump developing Sacrilegium on the Wii U im also hoping for this)

Shadows of the Eternals (Funding seems to be failing. Hopefully Nintendo picks it up for a retail-Eternal Darkness 2 release)

Beyond Good and Evil 2 (With Ubi Montpellier taking a special interest in Wii U i would be hoping for this)

ZombiU 2 (Really enjoyed the original)

Super Mario 64-2 (I would like the next 3D-Mario to be set in Mushroom Kingdom)

Paper Mario RPG (A true sequel to The Thousand Year Door)

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles 3 (Preferably in the same style as The Crystal Bearers)

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (With the success of 3 Ultimate this seems likely)

The Evil Within (Shinji Mikamis new Survival Horror-game)

Wolfenstein: The New Order (Not much for Wolfenstein, but with the director of the Darkness this is interesting)

Saints Row 4 (Because it looks out of control)

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow II (Not a huge fan of the preducesor but just the thought of a new Castlevania on a Nintendo-platform makes me shiver)

Final Fantasy: Lightning Returns (Its FF XIII-2 with a touch of Majoras Mask! What can go wrong? Nothing!)

Killer is Dead - Its a Killer 7 / No More Heroes-mash up and belongs on a Nintendo platform

South Park: The Stick of Truth - With Ubisoft postphoning the game from "Spring" to "2013" I am hoping that there will be a Wii U version as well

The Walking Dead - The Telltale seasons

Deadpool - Activision has put all other multiplatform-games on the Wii U so far, why not this one?

Apart from that, I guess everything's covered, I'd like to see more RPGs on the horizon though, since I can only think of 1 that's coming to Wii U.

1) X (Monolith)

2) Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem (Atlus, Intelligent Systems)

3) Dragon Quest X (Square Enix)

4) Romance of the Three Kingdoms XII (Tecmo Koei)

There are also A LOT MORE coming regarding RPGs on the eShop

#205643 What is your favorite Sonic game?

Posted by LaserSWE on 09 May 2013 - 10:34 PM in General Gaming

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on the Gamecube

Was my first game for the platform.

#205450 Anyone know if more Lego city's will be made?

Posted by LaserSWE on 09 May 2013 - 07:26 AM in General Gaming

Most likely

Sooner or later

#205447 What game do you want to see on the Wii U?

Posted by LaserSWE on 09 May 2013 - 07:11 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I would like Starfox Adventures. It could be a "Virtual Console"-release or it could be a HD-remake as The Wind Waker U. I would also enjoy a sequel to that.

What else? Metroid Prime 4, a Directors Cut-version of Tomb Raider, Another Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles-game, hmm.. Killer is Dead, perhaps.

#205445 Fast & Furious: Showdown

Posted by LaserSWE on 09 May 2013 - 07:08 AM in Wii U Games and Software

This problably will be as much of a trashbin-game as The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct but it would be good to see some actual gameplay from it.

But i guess theres a reason that Activision arent showing any.

It seems to come with a budget pricetag so i might be interested but i will wait until the Youtube vids starts coming out.

#205443 Avalanche Studios: Wii U Dev Kits are Collecting Dust

Posted by LaserSWE on 09 May 2013 - 07:06 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Avalanche is a small swedish studio with not much to say until a publisher gives them the right to do so.

#205442 Is EA trying to Dreamcast the Wii U?

Posted by LaserSWE on 09 May 2013 - 07:05 AM in Wii U Games and Software

My theory is that EA will be one of the publishers that will go with DRM / Always Online on their next-generation games and that they wont support Nintendo until they let them. There are a lot of EA franchises that i enjoy, but i wont buy them if they come with DRM / Always Online, on any platform.

#205441 Crysis 3 Fails To Meet Sales Forcast

Posted by LaserSWE on 09 May 2013 - 07:03 AM in Wii U Games and Software

This is definetely the end of Crysis. Perhaps Crytek will develop a free-2-play model as they have talked about in the past, but i would be suprised if EA would put in any money for a another full game in this brand.

#205440 Dead or Alive Ultimate 5 coming to PS3/360

Posted by LaserSWE on 09 May 2013 - 07:01 AM in General Gaming

I would buy this. If it was on Wii U.

I got the original version for the PS3 back in the day, but i mostly was annoyed with the lame story-mode and long loading times (a fighting game shouldnt have that).

#189496 Making a List of Wii U exclusives

Posted by LaserSWE on 03 April 2013 - 03:17 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Deus Ex Human Revolution Directors Cut, it has upscaled graphics, all the DLC and other changes too. Square Enix have said that the Directors Cut is a Wii U exclusive.

Its basically a Game of the Year-edition, not something to add on a exclusive games list.

- Bayonetta 2 (Nintendo)

- Family Party: 30 Great Games Obstacle Arcade (D3 Publisher)

- Funky Barn (505 Games)

- Game Party Champions (Warner Bros)

- Game & Wario (Nintendo)

- Lego City Undercover (Nintendo)

- Mario Kart U (Nintendo)

- The Wonderful 101 (Nintendo)

- Wii Fit U (Nintendo)

- Wii Party U (Nintendo)

- X (Nintendo)

- Yarn Yoshi (Nintendo)

- ZombiU (Ubisoft)

#189492 Port us some older games

Posted by LaserSWE on 03 April 2013 - 03:07 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Yeah, why not.

If they could re-launch old PS2 games as "HD-remasters" i can accept PS3/XBOX 360-re launches on Wii U with (a bit) improved graphics and most of all the Wii U Gamepad-update.

There are tons of great games i would like to see on the Wii U. Both that already has been released on other platforms as well as some that hasnt yet.

Like the Elder Scrolls-games, the entire Mass Effect-trilogy, the Tomb Raider reboot and so on.

#171958 Amazing Spider Man Wii U March 5th

Posted by LaserSWE on 16 February 2013 - 01:11 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Wait, Activision are doing a WiiU game! i thought they didn't think it was worth it?

Well, im guessing that you are referring to Bobby Koticks comment on disappointing sales? Even though that Activision is basicly the one publisher that has shown the most support with third-party content for the platform so far (together with Warner Bros). They have Skylanders Giants, Skylanders Swap Force, Call of Duty Black Ops II, 007 Legends, The Amazing Spider-Man, Angry Birds Trilogy, Cabelas Dangerous Hunts 2013, Nova, Rapala Pro Bass Fishing, The Walking Dead, Transformers Prime and WipeOut 3 announced/released so far. Thats more then any other publisher.

Also in the statement from Kotick the point wasnt to say that "it isnt worth it" but "We're going to have to figure out how to take advantage of the unique capabilities of new hardware, and that requires new skills and investment in tools, and technology and engines"

As with Watch Dogs i am guessing that we will see very few platform-exclusive games this generation due to high development costs. We are most likely to see development as within personal computers where engines are made to be less and more demanding. Like Watch Dogs can look a lot better on Xbox 3, PC and Playstation 4 but still be released on Wii U, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Wiiii another port. That's going to..flop! We need new games to get more gamers interested. This should be £20, not £40.

Well, WE dont need to get more gamers interested. Nintendo do. What WE need to do is to show that Wii U owners not only are willing to buy New Super Mario Bros. U. This is a consumer-driven market. If we dont buy third-party games, there wont be any third-party games. Thats how easy it is.

(And there is nothing unique about the situation for Wii U and how it has turned out for other platforms. It took almost 2 years before Playstation 2 got games. When Xbox arrived it had goddamn Blood Wake and a port of Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2. What did Wii have? Far Cry Vengeance and Red Steel? Xbox 360 lived on PS2-ports for almost a year and on Playstation 3 the only third-party games we got early on was the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End, Spider-Man 3 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Game development takes time and most companies arent willing to put the effort or money in until their is a steady userbase as well as consumers showing interest)

#171950 Amazing Spider Man Wii U March 5th

Posted by LaserSWE on 15 February 2013 - 11:58 PM in Wii U Games and Software

This is actually a pretty sweet game. Good gameplay, similiar fighting to the Arkham Batman-games, open-world city, lots of references to the Spider-Man universe but also other ones (like the Ninja Turtles). The only thing it lacks is basicly a great storyline (like Arkham City) but then again... its based on the movie and not even the movie had that much of a (good) story. Would definetely recommend people to buy this (Maybe not in March when many other good games are coming out as well, but you know.. April, May..June..July... even August).

#166314 RUMOR - Gearbox working on another Wii U title, original FPS

Posted by LaserSWE on 03 February 2013 - 09:28 AM in Wii U Games and Software

so far yes, i accepted it as 75%-85% chacne of being false.

Since its IGN (Neogaf is basicly the only forum to even remotely care about when it comes to info like this due to their strict policy on kicking out the lyers) i would say 99.9% chance of being false.

Especially since Gearbox isnt even are making Aliens: Colonial Marines for Wii U. Demiurge Studios is.
