#165809 What wii u games have you sold

Posted by LaserSWE on 02 February 2013 - 01:11 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I bought about 9 games and sold everyone but New Super Mario Bros U (a keeper!). I problably will re-buy some of those games again when they are cheap, like ZombiU and Ninja Gaiden 3, Tekken and Sonic Racing.

#165808 GTA V Delayed

Posted by LaserSWE on 02 February 2013 - 01:09 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Hopefully! Not likely, but it would be great! I hope for at least some games in the genre for Wii U (Lego City Undercover hardly counts, it also looks quite meh).

#164137 Wii U Wishlist

Posted by LaserSWE on 28 January 2013 - 10:22 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I would like there to be more "multiplatform"-games on Wii U. Currently there are a lot PS3/Xbox 360-games not announced for Wii U as well and I just dont care that much about those that are being revealed (The Amazing Spider-Man or Disney Infinity or whatnot). I want games like Tomb Raider, Lightning Returns, The Walking Dead, Cyberpunk 2077, GTA V, Metal Gear Solid, Remember Me and so on.
Not because I think all platforms should have the same games but since i sold my past-gen platforms for Wii U i would like to see some better support for it. At least excited and glad over Capcom announcing Resident Evil: Revelations for it.

#164135 What GCN games should be remastered next?

Posted by LaserSWE on 28 January 2013 - 10:19 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Would love Starfox Adventures and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. Sadly problably two games we wont see get remastered due to licensing/development/jibberish-reasons.

#159390 Top ten games!

Posted by LaserSWE on 15 January 2013 - 06:29 AM in General Gaming

Hmm, these kind of lists were so easy to put out ten years ago but now there are just so many games.. Hmm. Anyway. In no particular order.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Final Fantasy VII
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Alundra
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Metal Gear Solid
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Alundra
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Blade Runner

I think...

#158937 So how many games do you have?

Posted by LaserSWE on 13 January 2013 - 06:35 AM in Wii U Games and Software

New Super Mario Bros. U

Batman: Arkham City - Armoured EditioN

ZombiU

Assassins Creed III

Darksiders II

Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

Need for Speed: Most Wanted U

Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Has recently picked up a lot of Wii-games (like 15 or something) so i both feel glad to have gotten my hands on some great games like

Klonoa, Fragile Dreams and Xenoblade Chronicles, to name a few, but also a bit bad since there still are some Wii U-games i would

like to have right now. Oh, money gief.

#111331 The Backloggery

Have tried to GET IT TOGETHER at that site several times but my backloggery is just too much for a puny human to handle.

#110993 What is your most anticipated download title?

Posted by LaserSWE on 21 September 2012 - 09:58 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Trine 2: Directors Cut and The Cave

#110987 Which game are you playing right now ?

Posted by LaserSWE on 21 September 2012 - 09:44 AM in General Gaming

Paper Mario for Nintendo 64

#110880 ZombiU: What do U think?

Posted by LaserSWE on 21 September 2012 - 04:16 AM in Wii U Games and Software

It looks great and I love everything that ive seen and heard about it so far. Super-excited!
Although i believe that a lot of consumers will think of this game as something that its not and end up getting dissapointed. This is a difficult and single-player oriented survival horror-game specifically designed for the hardcore-gamer crowd. Some consumers problably are expecting Left 4 Dead or something.
I will pick it up at launch and hopefully so will many others.

(Also Ubi Soft Montpellier is one of my favorite devs out there)

#110859 Warriors Orochi dev on Wii U: CPU is weak GPU stronger than ps360

Posted by LaserSWE on 21 September 2012 - 12:34 AM in Wii U Hardware

I mostly think that this is because it being a new platform and that developers have not really gotten to know it yet, and that ways to go around this will be found (but probably not by Koei, lol). But maybe we will have some framerate problems in slacky-ported multiplatform-titles and early third-party games.
I still find the statement promising as "a thousand enemies on the screen" games are not what attracts me and instead I see opportunities for great looking regular games.
Imagine what graphically skilled developers such as Retro Studios will be able to do with the console. Believe!

#110857 I just can't support most of the launch titles...

Posted by LaserSWE on 21 September 2012 - 12:14 AM in Wii U Hardware

At the Wii launch the most interesting game (Twilight Princess) was also on its way for Gamecube and we had "great" third-party support with titles such as Far Cry: Vengeance, Rampage: Total Destruction, Barnyard and Open Season. The Wii U is a huge improvement.

Also the Wii U will sell by itself in the beginning due to the news-worth of the platform itself (and also the New Super Mario Bros is a super-popular franchise), so there is no real reason for Nintendo to put out major-titles such as Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Super Smash Bros or Metroid just yet.

Personally i rather take a console launch with all-new IPs such as ZombiU then a launch with new titles in series we already have played before (lots of times).
And as previously mentioned Nintendo has to make room for third-party publishers. Nintendos own games are so popular that they outshadow basicly everything in third-party territory so its just a part of getting greater support from those companies to give them more market space.

#110855 Kingdom Hearts is Getting the HD Treatment (PS3 Collection)

Posted by LaserSWE on 21 September 2012 - 12:04 AM in General Gaming

I will ignore this due to the lack of Kingdom Hearts 2

#110854 The future of Sony?

Posted by LaserSWE on 20 September 2012 - 11:59 PM in General Gaming

"We were discussing the potential crossover between Vita and PS3 -- the obvious comparison to Nintendo's latest offering, the Wii U, and its tablet controller. The Vita and the PS3 are capable of producing similar functionality, and, if anything, with higher fidelity, as the Vita is a standalone console.
Koller says Sony invites the comparison. "We tell our PlayStation fans all the time that what the Wii U is offering is something that Vita and PS3 can do quite easily," he says. It's not just about the functionality, however, it's about whether implementing that functionality makes any sense. "It's dependent on the content. So we need to make sure the content isn't force fed. And, to us, making sure that the gamer receives the right type of experience is what's most important. So we're gonna pick our spots, but that technology does certainly exist here"

http://www.engadget....-ps3-crossover/

Sony seems to be wanting some of the Wii U-attention, and sadly are problably taking some due to the consumers of poorer knowledge.
I own both PS3 and PsVita and the functionality is not at all comparable to the Wii U, although they share some features in theory.
Wii U is designed for this and the games will be as well and with Vita the connectivity isnt built-in into the platform but one has to connect through wireless network and most of the times there are plenty of lag. Not to mention the Remote Play which is basicly unplayable.

At Tokyo Game Show Sony also showcased the new Super Slim-model of PS3 with a Playstation Vita infront of it.
After the obvious rip-of with Playstation Move and several Nintendo-franchises such as the upcoming LittleBigPlanet Karting and All-Stars Battle Royale one starts to wonder if Sony is really this desperate that they cant even come up with something of their own anymore.
I love Sony for their first-party games and have loved all of their home-video consoles but this is just bad manners.

#110547 Miyamoto’s Worst Game Idea Ever. Or Maybe The Best. Not Sure.

Posted by LaserSWE on 20 September 2012 - 01:21 PM in General Gaming

Makes me think of Molyneuxs Project Natal/Milo demo for Kinect

#110545 RARE WARE

Posted by LaserSWE on 20 September 2012 - 01:15 PM in General Gaming

The Rare of today is not even the same Rare as back then so I really cant see what they could possibly bring to Nintendo that Nintendo cant offer themselves from far superior studios (such as Retro Studios).

But if we toy around with the idea that Rare would be the same studio as back then I actually would love another Starfox Adventures. Thats my favorite Rare-game and one of my favorite games of all time.

#110526 Sega announces Demon Tribe

Posted by LaserSWE on 20 September 2012 - 12:08 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I wonder what the game is about?

The slogan for the game is “Fight to the end. Fight as a demon"

#110521 Sega announces Demon Tribe

Posted by LaserSWE on 20 September 2012 - 12:00 PM in Wii U Games and Software

The project previously known as Project Omega has been unveiled as Demon Tribe
See the website here http://demon-tribe.com/

Even though no platforms has been mentioned officially the platforms Wii U, PS Vita and PSP are mentioned in the sites source-code)
My guess, based on the platforms, is that this will be a eShop-game.

The game is being developed by Blit Software (Jet Set Radio HD)

No other details has yet been unveiled about the game.

#110438 Tecmo announces Fist of the North Star: Kens Rage 2

Ooo...did they say for what consoles?

Its at the end of the trailer. Wii U? Yes

Will be released in Japan in December and in North America in February, 2013.

#110432 Gears of War creator keeping a close eye on Wii U

Posted by LaserSWE on 20 September 2012 - 09:25 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Not a huge fan of their games. Gears of War was fun in co-op but then again which games arent fun in co-op?
What I would like to see from them though, if anything, is Jazz Jackrabbit HD.

#110361 Stuff to do?

Posted by LaserSWE on 20 September 2012 - 03:42 AM in Wii U Hardware

Theres plenty of options

#110347 Gta V on Wii U ?

Posted by LaserSWE on 20 September 2012 - 12:55 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I think the U has allready proved itself as it has allready sold out in pre orders

Its not about Nintendo proving that there is a market for Wii U. Its about the consumers proving that there is a market for third-party core-titles on Wii U.

#110342 CONFIRMED: ZombiU Premium bundle will NOT contain Nintendoland

Posted by LaserSWE on 20 September 2012 - 12:45 AM in Wii U Games and Software

over here in Australia we don't even have the ZombieU Bundle, just the white version bundle and the Black version which is the one i pre-ordered :)

Yeah, its exclusive to Europe/UK.

#110330 Games it seems like we won't be getting and should

Posted by LaserSWE on 19 September 2012 - 11:58 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Well, only because its possible to put these games on WiiU doesnt make the companies interested. They have to see if they will earn money on the effort on starting to develop these games for WiiU as well. What we as consumers can do is to make our voices heard in two ways 1) Official forums 2) Which Games We Actually Buy (Not on the Used-Market). Want Ubi Soft to continue support WiiU with exclusive experiences? Buy Rayman Legends, Rabbids Land and ZombiU.

What has to be said about the examples made here in the thread, such as Dead or Alive 5, is that Nintendo is actually financing and publishing Ninja Gaiden 3: Razors Edge so it isnt like Tecmo Koei decided for themselves that "Oh, yeah, WiiU!"

Buy WiiU. Buy Third-Party Games.

See what happens.

(Main problem with Nintendo platforms since N64 has always been that it is Nintendos own games that sell. The others? Not so much)
