#134226 Is it normal for a white light to be on when a game is inserted?

Posted by Spleenzorio on 19 November 2012 - 11:31 PM in Wii U Hardware

The white light signifies that you have been chosen for a super secret prize!!!!

Nah, it just let's you know there's already a game in there and not to try jamming another disc in.

#134222 Using the Game Pad as your remote

Posted by Spleenzorio on 19 November 2012 - 11:23 PM in Wii U Hardware

Mines a Sony tv, I surprised its supported :P

#133940 Is your gamepad rattling?

Posted by Spleenzorio on 19 November 2012 - 05:57 PM in Wii U Hardware

It's the ABXY buttons that make this sound. If you hold your GamePad so the screen is facing the floor and lightly tap the ABXY buttons you will see they are "loose" and that is what the shaking sound is. Or if you hold them all down and shake the the GamePad then the noise stops, except for the things inside the controller that need to move.

#133608 NSMBU: The Best Mario Game Since Mario World?

Posted by Spleenzorio on 19 November 2012 - 11:58 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Is it possible to play the game without even switching your TV on?

Yup.

#133449 Can I play my WiiWare titles w/gamepad?

Posted by Spleenzorio on 19 November 2012 - 09:34 AM in Wii U Games and Software

As long as you have to use the Wii application on your Wii U, you have to use a Wiimote or classic pro controller (or whatever it's called).

#133432 Zombiu official game guide

Posted by Spleenzorio on 19 November 2012 - 09:11 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Ok so I'm gunna sound like a noob but I'm having problems right from the start. Right after the intro you are told to escape the infected. So I run into the subway, up a ladder into a vent, then fall through into a room. I go through the door, and down a hallway where the guy on the speaker says to use my light sparingly cuz I'll attract the infected. I attract them anyways, and turn left down a hallway and when I run through the door at the end of the hallway the ZombiU screen shows up and I wake up as a new survivor in the safe house.

So what am I doing wrong?

EDIT: I think that's basically what's supposed to happen, every video I watch is the same thing.

#133402 Who else is starting to think the Wii U is only as powerful as the 360/PS3?

Posted by Spleenzorio on 19 November 2012 - 08:31 AM in Wii U Hardware

God I wish they just forgot about the Gamepad and just released a traditional system...

So then what would be the selling point? "Here's yet ANOTHER console with nothing special. Oh but the games look pretty!"

Anyone who complains about graphics shouldn't even be playing on consoles. Buy a gaming PC so then you won't have to constantly be in doubt that your machine is too weak compared to everyone else's.

#133389 How well will the wii do

Posted by Spleenzorio on 19 November 2012 - 08:14 AM in Wii U Hardware

Well while Sony and Microsoft recycle ideas from every one of their last consoles, Nintendo is doing things differently. It's ironc that the term "hardcore gamer" usually refers to people who play one game on one system and are too afraid to try new things. I'm old school, and back in the day new meant NEW, not just an updated version of what I already saw (PS1,2,3,etc). But yeah, I expect PS4 and Xbox 720 to have allllllll the football and Usher music we can handle.

#133368 Trolled by GamePad's range

Posted by Spleenzorio on 19 November 2012 - 07:54 AM in Wii U Hardware

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone else tried seeing how far you could walk from your Wii U and still have the GamePad work properly. I tried yesterday and the first time I made it about 2 steps away from my PC, then got a message saying it was out of range. Same deal with when I went to sit at the kitchen table. So maybe I should move things 2 feet closer to the living room so I can comfortably use the GamePad anywhere :P

#133021 Club Nintendo registration survey

Posted by Spleenzorio on 18 November 2012 - 10:19 PM in Wii U Hardware

At first I was wondering why it wasn't going through either, but yeah give it about an hour and check back under your "to-do" section thingy where it shows what surveys you have to take and it should be there.

#133012 An honest letdown, but still hopeful

Posted by Spleenzorio on 18 November 2012 - 10:13 PM in Wii U Hardware

There's an "application" on the Wii emulator, as you call it, to bring you back to the Wii U menu. It should be the first icon in the second row.

#133007 AC3

Posted by Spleenzorio on 18 November 2012 - 10:06 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Nah! This is a new chapter with new characters. So no need to play the others unless you really want to.

#132997 I have to be honest about something... My Wii U's internet is terrible

Posted by Spleenzorio on 18 November 2012 - 10:01 PM in Wii U Hardware

With my junky Internet I was expecting to be downloading for most of the afternoon after starting the update at lunch. Surprisingly it went faster than I was predicting. The only connection issue I'm having is when I try posting on Miiverse, I keep getting an error saying could not connect to the server and to try later. Gunna see if there's any progress in the morning.

#132045 ok..who's going to review BLOP2 - user review please.

Posted by Spleenzorio on 18 November 2012 - 06:59 AM in Wii U Games and Software

If you have played Blops 1 you are gunna love this game, the story continues off and the multiplayer is fun (at least on the PS3 version). Really the only thing I can't comment on is the GamePad functionality, but all I'm gunna say is if I didn't get the PS3 version for the Care Package I would have definitely gotten the Wii U version.

#132008 Gamespot ZombiU review

Posted by Spleenzorio on 18 November 2012 - 06:15 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I may not be the biggest survival horror fan in the world but I'm still gunna give it a shot, although I kinda hated the whole limited ammo thing when I played RE on GameCube.
