#114971 ZombiU: What do U think?

Posted by Spleenzorio on 04 October 2012 - 01:56 PM in Wii U Games and Software

After having played a bit of this today I am looking forward to it as it does have a lot of potential, however I did have some issues with the interface namely the touch screen's use while looting, it had some issues with responsiveness which I assume is due to it being resistive. Gameplay-wise it was challenging and atmospheric, I like the concept of having many survivors but I get the impression that they don't build on these character's stories enough. Personally I found having to look down at the gamepad to be annoying.

Where did you get to play it?

EB Expo here in Sydney, Australia. I won some tickets and a VIP pass to play the Wii U at an exclusive event last night.

#133432 Zombiu official game guide

Posted by Spleenzorio on 19 November 2012 - 09:11 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Ok so I'm gunna sound like a noob but I'm having problems right from the start. Right after the intro you are told to escape the infected. So I run into the subway, up a ladder into a vent, then fall through into a room. I go through the door, and down a hallway where the guy on the speaker says to use my light sparingly cuz I'll attract the infected. I attract them anyways, and turn left down a hallway and when I run through the door at the end of the hallway the ZombiU screen shows up and I wake up as a new survivor in the safe house.

So what am I doing wrong?

EDIT: I think that's basically what's supposed to happen, every video I watch is the same thing.

These aren't even spoilers, it was a feature that was shown on Jimmy Fallon a few months ago.

#137379 Zombie u time b4 death...

Posted by Spleenzorio on 24 November 2012 - 08:42 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I have some kinda weird statistic that made me die every 20 minutes. A horde comes in and it takes forever to kill them, and eventually they kill me from behind. I also haven't played it in a week so I didn't get that far.

Anyone wanna buy my ZombiU off me? I'm not enjoying it as much as I thought I would :P

enemy designs, bosses, areas. There's a lot more to spoilers then just story.

I've been doing the same for a while now, not watching game videos and stuff. What's the point of watching someone else play if you are just gunna do it yourself, nothing will be new or surprising the second time you see it.

I think if it isn't working now it's going to launch next month with all the other junks they are releasing.

Use the Internet browser to use YouTube, the app is kinda poopy. Then at least you can watch stuff on the GamePad, or even play it on the tv while you browse other pages on the gamepads. Pretty awesome.

Damn, why's the app bad?

If you have a PS3, it's the exact same YouTube app as on there. Not really much of a UI, just kinda scroll around looking through your subscriptions and popular vids and stuff. When you pick a video the info shows up on the GamePad, but you can't watch on there.

But by quick comparison, you can use the full site through the internet browser, where you can view and leave comments, and watch the video on either the TV or Gamepad.

Yes, I forgot to mention these points. This is why I choose to use the browser over the app any day.

There are a few in Nintendo Land that need Motion Plus, like Zelda Battle Quest off the top of my head.

#126869 Will Games Boot Directly from External Hard Drive?

Posted by Spleenzorio on 09 November 2012 - 06:29 PM in Wii U Hardware

Can you use the same external drive between your Wii U and PC files?

#129712 Will Games Boot Directly from External Hard Drive?

Posted by Spleenzorio on 15 November 2012 - 01:05 AM in Wii U Hardware

I said that because the HDD might do on the Wii U what flash drives do on the 360. Once you hook it up to that system, it's hooked up to it for good. I can't remember the name it has.....

Taken from my other post:

Drives that will be used by Wii U must be formatted by the system's Data Management system, meaning you can't use the drive with a PC without partitioning. However all data can be moved internally and externally through Wii U's OS.

So I think we should be good.

Probably not.

LIAR! You can if you partition the drive. Only I didn't know that when I first asked.

Are the "new" Wii U remotes going to be chargeable or do you still need to replace the batteries?

How strong is the screen on the Gamepad, as in does it feel like it will scratch easy?

What is in the back of the Wii U (console)?

Unless this is an old pic and they changed stuff........

Any idea if Black Ops 2 will get the same collectors editions as the other two consoles? I'm guessing not considering the game is a month away from release.
