#109976 ZombiU Box Art : U for Ugly WiiU

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 19 September 2012 - 08:09 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I like the EU cover more it would be cool if the blood was like the 3d pop out of the box texture. The U.S. is kind of plain.

#163112 Wii vs. Wii u (software)

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 25 January 2013 - 07:09 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I am a huge wii u supporter but didnt care for the wii. I had twighlight princess, I had Mario, I had donkey kong and so on and so forth.
The only reason I didnt support the wii is because of the controller. I was raised on Nintendo consoles. My gameboy color and my N64 were my child hood. Thats why I am such a big Banjo fan til this day. When looking at the new announced games for the wii u I was like wow this system is getting more first party support. I was like whoa two Zeldas! But then it hit me.

The Gamecube had Twilight princess and a lot of people liked it. The wii then came out and Nintendo announced that they were porting T.P. to the wii. THEN!!! Nintendo released their next big Zelda game for the wii ala Skyward Sword......
See where im going??

Nintendo has just released their shiny new console and announced that they are remaking WIND WAKER!!! My favorite Zelda game.
This is where I hope Ninty doesn't fall back into a pattern. Of putting out a old Zelda on a new console and then making us wait for the next big Zelda.

Thoughts? Do you think that Nintendo is just repeating their selves or do you think they are getting back to their roots?

As a reborn Nintendo fan I think they are going back to the older days.

#110224 wii U. U! U!

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 19 September 2012 - 05:31 PM in Wii U Hardware

The Wii U is the successor to the Wii. It is a new console but it also improves upon the concept of the Wii. The NES: Nintendo's first console and also it was 8-bit; the SNES: one of Nintendo's most popular consoles and it improved on the NES and it was 16-bit.
The N64 and GC were not successors. They were different consoles. Again, Wii U is the successor to the Wii.

But the Wii-U isnt motion control but i see what you mean

#110229 wii U. U! U!

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 19 September 2012 - 05:40 PM in Wii U Hardware

It is motion control(tilting and moving the gamepad)

So that means the Vita is motion control? I mean its not jerky twist ninja like the Wii was its classic controls

#110241 wii U. U! U!

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 19 September 2012 - 05:58 PM in Wii U Hardware

It sends like many games are still using the wii remote and nunchuck.BLOPS2, zombiu, nsmbu, pikmin3 etc. so in that sense it's still motion control. It's just that it's also got the new gamepad aswell .

I will not be using the wii-mote at all. not once. Game-pad and pro controller

#110195 wii U. U! U!

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 19 September 2012 - 04:49 PM in Wii U Hardware

The name grew on me but i wish they left the wii part out should just be the NintendoU. Or Revolution-U

#110253 wii U. U! U!

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 19 September 2012 - 06:14 PM in Wii U Hardware

Kind of pointless/stupid to change the name now. The name never did bother me.

I actually love the name and the box-art is the best box-art ive ever seen besides the N64 boxes they were awesome! I really like some of the 360 boxes and hate the Ps3 boxes with a passion they are ugly.

#112641 Wii U version of Kid Icarus Uprising appears on Amazon France

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 25 September 2012 - 11:46 AM in Wii U Games and Software

A lot of retailers spoil games before they are announced so I never say never I would buy it day 1 considering I don't have the 3ds.

I think its real based on the sheer number of games this retailer has leaked so far.

#110469 Wii U television question

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 20 September 2012 - 10:44 AM in Wii U Hardware

It does support standard AV inputs, however you have to have them already, as it doesn't come packed in with them. The ones that work with your Wii will work with it, so just use those.

Thank you so much I found it on Nintendo's website http://www.nintendo....res/tech-specs/

#110498 Wii U television question

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 20 September 2012 - 11:31 AM in Wii U Hardware

Nintendo have been saying since it was announced that you'll be able to use the current wii video cables to connect the wii u to your tv if you want.

I never heard about it I just thought it was a given... Then I saw rants from people with SD t.v.s so i was like ummm

#110443 Wii U television question

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 20 September 2012 - 09:56 AM in Wii U Hardware

I have a box t.v. one of the old ones but it has the red white and yellow hook ups. Will my Wii U run on this television set up? I am getting an HD t.v. but that wont be untill christmas. I bought the Deluxe bundle so it should have the hook ups right?

#110452 Wii U television question

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 20 September 2012 - 10:14 AM in Wii U Hardware

It comes with an HDMI cable...but they really haven't shown the back...so I'm not sure if it has AV connection. I would think they would...who knows maybe it will share the same connection as the Wii

It would be dumb not too

It says its supports 480p so i guess it will work on my t.v.

#110429 Wii U Hands-On

Posted by Mushlikeahusky on 20 September 2012 - 09:17 AM in Wii U Hardware

Im glad its not too heavy that was a concern for me. I am also glad it feels more comfortable than the xbox controllers. I don't like that they are dragging along the wii-motes for the console though. I understand it for backwards compatability but I think the Game-pad and pro-controller should be what we are using here. I think most 3rd party titles will only use the Game-pad because it would be hell to do all of those control schemes. The Game-pad's control and the wii-motes control scheme's are completely different, so i am excited to see where this goes.
