Why not? You didn't get P4 Golden or Guacamelee? You aren't getting Soul Sacrifice?

I disagree with your notion that there have only been a few quality games. If anything there are just as many quality games on the Vita as there are on the 3DS if not more. I also don't think Sony has given up on it. They are trying hard but what they're doing for whatever reason isn't working. One thing they do need to do is reduce the price of the memory cards. They seem to be trying to integrate it with the PS4 as well as promoting its cross buy, cross save, cross play etc. features with the PS3 and eventually the PS4. I don't think the Vita is going anywhere. Sure its struggling but it won't be discontinued anytime soon and Sony will continue trying to make it a success.
I can't believe that you are the only one on here with hope. LBP, Ragnarok Odyssey, P4G, AC:L, Sound Shapes, Super Stardust Delta, Guacamelee, the best handheld Mortal Kombat, Soul Sacrifice tomorrow, Tearaway on the horizon, and Killzone on the horizon. I play my Vita way more than my 3DS, and in fact, think that the lineup is way better. The Vita will never sell as much as the 3DS though, but with a price drop on the handheld and a price drop fro the memory cards it can stay in the game.

That is the best news I have heard all day. Now if only someone would bring back Skitchin' and Mutant League Football.

All of these replies and not one vote for The Witcher 2? For shame.

Oh bulllllshiiiiit. Was meant to be a launch game and it's now august. Should have been a April/May release....
My thought exactly. I preordered my Wii U for two "launch window" games......Pikmin 3 and The Wonderful 101. So Pikmin 3 is 5 months late and 101 is nowhere to be found. You would think that eventually I would learn my lesson with Nintendo and adopting their hardware early on. There is literally no point because their release dates are complete BS.

I remember getting DIRT and Witcher2 with mine.
Nice. There is no better way to show off your graphics card then with Witcher 2.

I have two of the 6870's, which are similar in terms of performance, and they are awesome. Great build, have fun!
Yeah and after I made my purchases on Newegg last night that graphics card got me promo codes for Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, and Far Cry Blooddragon. I probably would not have bought Tomb Raider, but I was planning on picking up the other two. Thank you AMD!

Thanks Nick. People actually rave about that graphics card and CPU. Honestly they are probably more than what I need, but what the heck right? Thanks for all your help man!

At the moment both AMD and Intel seem to be changing socket standards every year or two so a future proof motherboard isn't really something you can get. So it's very likely that any CPU upgrades in 2/3 years will need a new motherboard. Shouldn't have any problems with graphics cards for a while though PCI-E will likely be the standard for some time as even that massively expensive Nvidia GeForce Titan isn't anywhere near maxing PCI-Es potential data transfer capabilities. Any decent DDR3 RAM should be good for a few years though as will a good case, PSU, SSD etc.
Gotcha. If you don't mind would you check out my build? The good folks at Tom's Hardware seemed to like it.

Thanks Nick. Yes, I already have a monitor, mouse, and keyboard. However, I do need an O/S to be included in that $1000 budget. There's one very important thing I'd want to know before I make an recommendations; do you have a monitor, mouse and keyboard that you could use for this PC? I ask because if you don't have these it could quite drastically reduce what you can afford to spend on the PC itself.
I can also give you some good advice that applies no matter what. The first is don't skimp on the power supply, seriously make sure you get a good one if you don't you'll almost certainly regret it in the long run. Secondly made sure you get a Solid State Drive for your OS as a minimum but ideally get a bigger one you can install a few games on too. You will probably want a regular hard drive along side the SSD for document storage etc.

I own an Xbox 360. Xbox LIVE doesn't have anything on it that really puts itself above the other 2 besides cross-game chat. I honestly feel like $60 goes to waste each year JUST so I can play with friends online.
As for Kinect, it's just a more advanced EyeToy.
Seriously. I have always thought that Xbox Live just has more bells and whistles than the other free online services of it's competitors and it should since you are paying for it. However, to say that MS is innovative because of Live is total BS. Innovative and rehash are the two most over used words in the video game industry.

The rehash argument is getting really tired. Each of the big three is just as guilty as the others because people keep buying them. I get sick of people constantly acting like Nintendo is any more guilty than MS or Sony at milking their franchises. Nintendo fans rejoice because things could be way way worse....you could be Xbox fans and have next to no good exclusives.

The PS4 is adding other things besides more powerful hardware and includes a number of features already present in the PS3 which the Wii U doesn't have. The Wii U isn't a bad console but in its present form its certainly not a good choice as a one and only console for those who want a more complete gaming experience.
I agree that they have bungled another launch, but you would have to go back pretty far in time to find a Nintendo console to satisfy all of a gamer's needs. I think that we have all come to expect that, when you buy a Nintendo product, you will get their big franchises, a few surprises, and lack of third party support.

First... who cares about the PS4. It's like getting excited about buying a 3 year old computer. My money is on the Xbox 720 if anything. At least Microsoft tries to innovate.
Second... Let's go through some of the "Wii U" saving games you mentioned:
Yoshi's Yarn - Oh wow Nintendo, another Yoshi platformer. Haven't seen that before
Wind Waker HD - Oh wow Nintendo, bringing a gamecube game to the HD world! Way to innovate.
A new 3D Mario Game! - Is this 1996?
Mario Kart U - Do I even need to say anything?
Smash Bros 4 - Stop it with the sequels... PLEASE
The same old tired franchises being used OVER and OVER again which are basically cliché’s of themselves.
If this is your idea of Nintendo's saving grace... then you are in for a rude awakening.
Stop making Smash Brothers? I'm certainly glad that you are not running the show at Big N. Seriously, why are you spewing this garbage on a fan site? Isn't that what the IGN forums are for?

Hmmm.... I have no idea then man.
That just sucks that it's only on your Wii U.
I don't get it either. The only full retail download that I've done was Darksiders 2, and it downloaded in 5-6 hours. The last download I did for my PS3 was AC 3 and that took 18 hours.

With only one con mentioned, it only deserves a 7.5? C'mon
Anyone know how long the game should last? I have read 12 hours and 21 horus, which is quite the difference. I don't know if I should pay 45 euros for it when I just got the new Paper Mario, and there's a LOT of other games coming out this year but I really want it. I noticed that the graphics look pretty bland tho, compared to the original.
Closer to the 12 than the 21 from what I've read unless you just can't figure out the puzzles very quickly. The thing is that the multiplayer will keep you busy for a while because it is so entertaining. I don't think there is much question that it is worth the $.

Fish has put his foot in his mouth a number of times, but give him a break on this one because he is actually right. The guy is a small time developer, and cannot afford to port it unless Nintendo pays for it. With the current state of the Wii U installed base how can you blame him. Btw......Fez is an amazing game.

That's good, so that got close to it's original launch window release. Now what of The Wonderful 101 and Cloudberry kingdom?
