#128970 The future of Sony?

Marketing- Sony is marketing this device as a "PS3 in your pocket" which is a very bad decision that spells immediate failure. Less people own a PS3 than a PSP, but Sony is clearly marketing this device to PS3 owners, thus making the Vita a niche within a niche. The same mistake was made with the PSP, a PS2 in your pocket. That didn't go as well as Sony wanted and like the Vita less people own a PSP than a PS2.
Memory Cards- This isn't 1990s anymore. The console games industry have come a long way from the dark ages of selling a console and a memory card SEPARATELY forcing you to buy not only a game but an accessory to really use your console. The PSP even included a 32MB memory stick duo when it first released, why couldn't Sony do the same for the Vita? By this logic you might as well sell your PSVita without a power charger as well. Is there really a major difference?
The games are open for debate. The 3DS had a terrible launch lineup and many agreed the Vita had a better launch lineup, but Nintendo released some heavy system sellers alongside a much needed price drop, something Sony has yet to do.

All three companies in the console market are guilty of this. Sony is no different in the grand scheme of things. No console is perfect, and no company that build them is perfect either. They all make mistakes and still continue on with them to the next generation. Nobody in here seems to mention Nintendo's ongoing policy on region lock, which the 3DS is the first handheld platform (unless you count the handful of DSi games in existence) to employ the technology. Nintendo didn't learn from Operation Rainfall, and they are resuming their agenda on locking down on imported titles. Now that online play will become a major feature of the Wii U, don't expect to mod your system without Nintendo banning you from their network. Are you, kind sir, disappointed in the Wii U and Nintendo as well? By your logic, you should be.No this is certainly not a hate thread.PS1,PS2,DC,GC and Xbox is my favourite time in my gaming life. The first game i played was chuckie egg on an Amstrad CPC-464,and yes,i had a green screen
Im just pointing out some of the mistakes sony have made, and continue to make.

This.People over analyse things these days, Learn to enjoy life seriously. Like all those people going "OMG da Wii U isnt 8 timez quicker than PS3740 etc," or "OHMRG NAWWWW da touch screen on da gamepad isnt a superdooper whooper one"
Enjoy the console for what it is, a games machine, something to play and have fun on.
Anyway my overall experience on the PS3 has been positive. It is a console with a lot of gems that I enjoy playing like 3D Dot Game Heroes, Tales of Graces f, Disgaea 3 & 4, Demon's Souls, the Hyperdimension Neptunia games, the Atelier series, and the White Knight Chronicles series. All I can say it is the system is far from perfect but so is every system on the market. If you want the best of all worlds you buy all systems. Sad but true.
