I'm buying the characters I like because they look cool. Probably won't use them after the first time for the lolz.

I will happily use my Samus again after the first time. IF THEY EVER MAKE A NEW PRIME GAME.

#289884 Zelda U Protagonist - Your Opinion?

Posted by flowerlandfilms on 12 June 2014 - 12:24 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I was thinking this is further down one of the Wind Waker time lines, where the world is back to normal, and everyone worships the hero of time by dressing like him.
So this character could be any villager or jerk.

#287706 What do you guys think about Iwata?

I like the way he brings things directly to me.
It makes me please understand Nintendo better.

#288097 Gamecube controller adapter for WIiU

Posted by flowerlandfilms on 04 June 2014 - 06:31 AM in Wii U News

Will the Nintendo vox support the sensitivity levels of the L R buttons?  Because if it doesn't certain Gamecube games [if a Virtual Console was happening) will not work.
Mario Sunshine for examplaritude.

#249927 The Wind Waker HD only took 6 months to develop

Posted by flowerlandfilms on 06 October 2013 - 03:36 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I can't play Mario all stars because they updated the sound and graphics for the SNES, so I'm a bit of a purist.
But even I think Wind Waker LIVES on the Wii U in HD.
If it came out as a new game today I wouldn't bat an eyelid, the MiiVerse integration and the camera feel like they wre built for the Gamepad.
It feels right and natural and at home on Wii U.

I bought an N64 to Wiimote adapter and am very much looking forward to trying it out.
Especially since I did the Lodgenet stick mod for my main N64 pad.

#253163 Wii Fit U ... ?

Posted by flowerlandfilms on 26 October 2013 - 02:52 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I loved Wii Fit! I used to get up in the morning every day and do the yoga exercises, and I hate both getting up and exercising. I did it because it was fun to try to get better scores than my family. I am really looking forward to Wii Fit U as well because I have been feeling somewhat sedentary lately.

#285300 Zelda U image leaked?

Lol, why are there Metroids in it?

#285552 Zelda U image leaked?

Posted by flowerlandfilms on 18 May 2014 - 08:57 AM in Wii U News

But it was still in the game, meaning it was planned to be put into the game at one point so it still counts :P

They aren't serious parts of the game that you find and interact with so they don't count at all.

I think you have lost track of what you were arguing about....

However, the chain chomp absolutely is integral to links awakening, you literally cannot progress through the game without its gameplay mechanics.

And past that, piranha plants, goombas, and even kirby were cameo enemies in links awakening.

Which is the exact same situation you are talking about.

And finally, metroids are also enemies in the kid icarus series.

Chain Chomp and Metroids in Kid Icarus are the first actual examples of Integral game content you have cited. Which is exactly what I was arguing all along. Therefore I concede the point.

They are just mushrooms. Even if it was Metroid. Legit other Nintendo series have appeared in Zelda before

The first one is an easter egg, and the second one is in the code of the game, but you have to hack the code to see it.

Paging Captian Obvious. Happy Mask Salesman had Pokemon,Mario,StarFox and others. Then in Oot and LA we had these. Talon even has a Bowser Broach

Which are all in jokes and references. Not integral game design.

#297868 Miyamoto not making casual games anymore.

Posted by flowerlandfilms on 03 September 2014 - 04:28 AM in Wii U Games and Software

No dude. Sorry. Hes pretty damn specific.

"Fortunately, because of the spread of smart devices, people take games for granted now. It's a good thing for us, because we do not have to worry about making games something that are relevant to general people's daily lives"

We no longer need to make games for the people who like mobile style game offerings is pretty complete and concise. No real way around this one.

Nintendo took a chance, making simplistic games for what they thought was a beginner audience who would then move on to be a more sophisticated audience, that just turned out to be a simplistic audience who never wanted anything more. Now Nintendo, and I quote, 'Doesnt have to worry about' making games for them anymore.

Anyone from that audience, who does want more, will move on, on there own. Nintendo no longer has to waste resources making games to bring them into gaming.

Except for the fact that it is a translated comment from the original Japanese, and the media have been known to take whatever meaning they wish from Japanese Nintendo statements without translating them properly. This is actually the very opposite of "Specific".

#297148 Miyamoto not making casual games anymore.

Posted by flowerlandfilms on 27 August 2014 - 02:44 PM in Wii U Games and Software

He isn't saying anything here. He is just musing about the shfiting sands of the game industry and everyone is mis-quoting it as 'CAZUAL GAMES SUXKZORZ LOLZ'.
Miyamoto does not consider Mario and Donkey Kong etc to be casual games.

#297790 Miyamoto not making casual games anymore.

Posted by flowerlandfilms on 02 September 2014 - 04:27 AM in Wii U Games and Software

The word he used to describe them was pathetic, actually. And hes being pretty specific and damning.

Hes directly referring to all the time and money, and oppurtunity cost nintendo spent expanding the user base with these casuals, and how they spectacularly failed, en masse, to want to take the next step and try and challenge themselves with something more advanced. So, Nintendo is done with them.

Your second sentence is completely nonsensical and has nothing to do with anything anyone in reality has said.

I think that's what you want him to have meant. But I do not think that is what he meant.
