Well I don't know about the rest of you, but all the stuff just revealed has me more stoked then since the console was released.

My complaint over the last 2 years has been 3rd party support, which still kinda sucks. .. But has I always said, who cares? The awesome Nintendo stuff is available now and more coming soon...ish.

The only thing the Wii U is better at is second screen direct play. That is a Nice feature, but hardly a system seller. Otherwise the gamepad is a gimmick.

It may be hard to remember, but I do want the Wii U to succeed. I have just become jaded by what I perceive as a lack of attentiveness by Nintendo. I just want great games on any system.

I just don't see how Big N will compete in going beyond 1st party games and drawing a bigger audience. The system will not be a bust but it also won't be the b leader this time.

As far as Sony exclusives I enjoy media molecule games. I like Uncharted. Infamous will be good.

Sony haven't sold as many consoles as Nintendo have this generation.

Third party companies throw all their support at a console which has less of an install base than Nintendo constantly.
With over 1 million more gamers to sell their games to, they are instead focusing on a console with just 3-4 million users, and a horrible imagine to gamers(x1), and a console which is all hype and no substance, with over 5 million sales(p4), many of which are in the UK, which historically are owned by Sony, and their hype marketing techniques.
Just look at how PSV does in the UK, and it has 2 games total.

Well, you have to applaude the Sony hype machine. People know what a PS4 is. I know people at work (who aren't games) that ask me when the new Nintendo console is coming out.

I still expect a 30 million Wii U install base. But PS4 will have about 3 times that.

Let's face the facts. The PS4 has way more power to satisfy the 3rd party companies and some very good exclusives.

Sony have been outed again by claiming over 6 million sales sometime last month, the official numbers show only 5.3 million (more than 300,000 less than the Wii U numbers from the January investors meeting from Nintendo)
Meanwhile, the x1 sits at 3.3 million.

I will give you one thing you will bravely go down with this sinking ship.

I mean come on! The PS4 had only been out since November and it will be leaving the Wii U in the dust by next holiday season.

Your numbers didn't even consider the upcoming Japanese launch. That was obviously going to take it past the Wii U.

The part that makes me upset about the whole thing is how Nintendo put out a half-assed product with the idea of selling 100 million units at a profit. Oops. Didn't work this time.

The PS4 blows it out of the water in every way imaginable. There is not one 3rd party game you would buy for it that isn't better on the other new systems.

Due to their inability to out out a competitive console the consumer is telling Nintendo they failed this time.

I am glad I have one for the Nintendo games. But that is the only thing I will use it for. That and my 3 year old absolutely loves it. It is mind of cool that he can play on the gamepad.

I had predicted it would take until March for PS4 to hit 5 million and surpass the Wii U. This happened before the end of February and it is just now releasing in Japan. Boggles the mind.

Yes, they either gave away or lost or something, 10,000 consoles in April to September of 2013 in Europe/rest of world.

Also, what you read was from CVG, they're tabloid level. Official figures aren't out yet, and again they only deal with UK numbers, because they're British.
As I've said before, the PSV and PSP sell pretty well in the UK, anything with hype and can be seen as a powerful gadget gets sales there, they are a bad representative of the entire European region because of that.

No hypocrisy here. I have always stated Nintendo designed the system with their needs in mind. They did not give a rip about what developers wanted.

Now they are reaping the benefits.

I have a Wii U and a PS4. No way in hell I am buying the Wii U version. Even though there is no possibility of what you want happening, I would skip watchdogs all together if it did.

Wii U is what it is. A machine intended to play Nintendo only games. I am actually very curious how the Wii U version sells. I am guessing not well.

IKR, hype machines selling Sony consoles with no games for them. Historically, the UK has always backed the failure products Sony puts out like the PSP and PSV.

You know, site after site, news publication after news publication .... They are all saying that of the PS4, XBOX One, and Wii U, right now, this Christmas, the Wii U is the system to get ... and I agree ...

Funny that they say that, but that is really a short term benefit. Yes, they are trying to dump the system with a price cut. Yes, a year later we have some games.

But what happens in a year when the PS4 library starts to grow?

I know if I could have only one system, it would not be the Wii U. And that is the way sales will trend.

I find it rather amazing that PS4 did 100, 000 more units in 24 hours than the Wii U sold in 1 year in Europe or England. ... or whatever.

It entirely depends on what you like. Not everyone cares about 3rd party games. Right now all I care about it Titanfall and Watch Dogs. I'm playing Assassins Creed and Batman as well.

That is very true. I do not dispute that. Just don't be surprised when more people (like 5-1) like the PS4.
