If the demo is great chances are the final product will be even better.
Sell it on Amazon and quit complaining.
If MK8,SSB for Wii U, and a future Zelda game are crap to you then I don't even know why you come here. Have patience and you will be happy with it. Otherwise sell it on Amazon and quit whining about things.
Exactly. That has been my pet peeve since joining. If someone doesn't like the Wii U then why do they come here?!?
My pet peeve is people thinking the Wii U is more than what it is. .. a Nintendo first party game machine where no thought was put in for what attracts 3RD party support.
I have a Wii U. Had it since day one. I like it. Can't wait for W101. But I was kind of duped by Nintendo into thinking it was going back to the "hardcore".
I guess we just have a different definition.
It is a disappointing experience in some ways, no doubt. But great in others.
I guess part of it is the fact it could easily have been better. Instead they went cheap and charged way too much for what you get. I have covered this before.
I wish I did not hand to supplement my gaming experience with a PS4 so soon. But the future of Wii U support outside of Nintendo titles is bleak.

IKR.
I wish Nintendo would grow some balls and call out third parties who pull this rainbow on them.
Kind of easy now to just call him an outright liar, but I think he was just trying to build hype for the system. That would obviously have benefited his company. It was also disingenuous in the fact that they did kinda do stuff half-ass just so they can say "look, we tried". I see that now.
Just sucks. But Nintendo could have helped everyone by holding off and building a better system.

Seems like Nintendo were duped too.
That was actually kind of sad.

if i had not already got a WiiU, W101 wouldn't make me want to buy a WiiU, it's not worth buying when the PS4 is coming out & is only £50 more.
The price of the PS4 is irrelevant. The Wii U IS worth buying due to the exclusive games you cannot play on the other systems.
The TC did not say it was the system to do it all.
By now we must realize the Wii U is rarely the choice if you only want 1 system.
As a second system to supplement your gaming needs it is very much worthy of purchase thanks to games like Wonderful 101.

So did the Wii U. And the 3DS. Selling out pre-orders means nothing, it's par for the course and anyone who has studied gaming history can tell you that much. This idea that it will surpass the Wii U is wishful thinking. We still don't really know how the majority of people will really react towards the XB1 or the PS4 as the PS3 and 360 are good enough for most. It's like how PCs having been selling a lot due to current computers being more than enough for people.
You can say preorders mean nothing. .. but when the Wii U sells 400, 000 I'm the first week and the PS4 has 1 million pre-order already and 1.5 million waiting it is pretty obvious it is going to crush any console launch to date.
The only thing I am disappointed in is the fact Infamous is pushed back until February. That is very Nintendo like 8).

The gamepad is not holding up the Wii U. The crappy specs are.
The last thing you want for a system is to split up the community. It is small enough already.
The price cut is coming. They just wanted to milk the early adapter crazies for about a year. More games and a lower price will put them in a stronger 3rd place to start next year.

But seriously. I like what they did there.
Value added with WWHD and a price drop. It is still a GC on steroids with a pack in GC game. But $300 is now competitive.
Oh, and a cooler game pad. That makes me jealous.
Thank you Nintendo. Now Advertise!

PlayStation 4 is sold out.Not exactly as big of a competitor as it first appeared, is it? Face it, the PS4 is going to have a typical launch year and the Wii U is NOT going to be in trouble over it. To suggest otherwise is trying to judge things in a vacuum.
I judge it by the fact there are 1.5 million people on the waiting list for gamestop alone. This number does not include orders already placed.
That is no vacuum. PS4 Will surpass Wii U in about 6 months.
To call that a normal launch year and no real competition is just ignorant.
Let me edit one thing. The only thing that would keep it from passing the Wii U would be production capacity. Not willing customers.

I had to laugh at this. At first I thought you were being serious through this conversation, but it is new obvious this is just a goof. No, that's precisely what early adopters are; like I said, things have just become more and more front-loaded in gaming, especially as of late. Furthermore, there's no sign of more people wanting to replace their systems just because the PS4 is out .If anyone has an uphill battle it's Sony and MS because there really isn't any difference between the PS4, XB1 and their predecessors besides slightly pretty graphical effects. The 360 was slow as hell to sell until 2007. The PS3 took THREE YEARS to hit its stride. And this is only going to become the norm from now on. Gaming is a luxury and people can deal with not upgrading their systems, especially when the cheapest of the HD twins comes in at $400 without a game, online subscription, or more than one controller. I don't ANY of the new systems doing well their first year, and that's going to be a wakeup call for all parties involved.
To say the only difference between the PS4 and the 3 is "slight graphical differences" truly is laughable.
The first generation games will be much better then what is coming out now 7 years into the PS3 life. Just wait for the next wave of games.
Also pointing out the failure of the PS3 at launch only strengthens my position. It flopped because it was too expensive for what you got. ... like the Wii U.
Oh yeah. There will be 4 free to play games available to check out on day one. Not the best. But Something.

This is more than early adopters coming to the PS4. There are well over 100 million potential customers who will be replacing PS3 and Xbox 360's with PS4's over the next few years.Because early adopters are nothing new. Furthermore, releases and sales have just been becoming more and more frontloaded, so again, just because it has 1 million preorders doesn't really mean much when you're hit with that context. It's why a movie breaking box office records doesn't really mean much anymore or why a game hitting huge numbers first week doesn't mean much. Sure, the launch week might be big, but then you have to think of the subsequent weeks and, let's face it, followup sales being far lower is very common now.
Let's face it. MS lost customers. Wii U was never taken seriously outside of the Nintendo faithful.
I work with a lot of gamers. Most are going PS4 and dropping Xbox completely. They never even gave the Wii U a chance. You see the same thing happening in the US at least.
For the PS4 to have 2.5 million people that interested before lunch is amazing. At my Gamestop we had 3 Wii U's reserved for pick up. There are over 30 PS4 reserved and will be there. That is not pretty.

That is hand down the biggest bunch of hooey yet posted on this board. We are supposed to believe a 15 year old motherboard can support a faster processor and have a front side bus speed worthy if whatever ram hes had in there? Let's not even talk graphics cards. My brother has a gaming PC that is over 15 years old now, yet with the occasional upgrade was still more powerful than any console when they launched, even now with the PS4 and Xbox One. I believe he's spent under two grand for it, and way less than the launch price of a PS4, PS3, PS2, and PS1 combined.
Go away.
Let me add maybe he has the same case from 15 years ago and has replaced every part in there 3 Times.

First of BC means nothing to me. One I never go back to old games. 2 nothing says I have to chuck my old system.
Online multi does not cost anything.
My Wii U did not come with any Wii+ controllers. .. yours did? So I would have to buy those and nunchucks.
That nullifies hidden costs.
The Green Ranger:
Xbox One is $100 more with Kinect no one wants
Also Xbox preorders bombed due to the policies they since removed.
I need to look it up but I thought the 3ds had a pretty good head start on the Vita

Wii U is already pretty cheap. I don't see the need for a price cut at all.
I fail to see how $349 for a Wii U with 32Gb of storage and very little RAM and weak processor for this next gen is considered cheap compared to $399 for a PS4 with 15 Times the storage and 8 Times the RAM and faster processor. .. oh yeah. .. and 3rd party support.
They must lower that price to $299 for the deluxe. Toss the other system and actually get those games out to even be considered as competition in this next gen.
I will be shocked if the number of PS4s I'm homes doesn't surpass the Wii U by next June.

The Wii U is cheaper than the PS4 and the lack of 3rd party support on the Wii U has nothing to do with the price tag.
If you're looking for the best value for hardware you should invest blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. ...
Lol the gaming computer. I like spending my $400 on something that is going to last me 6-7 years of good gaming. Is the price of one graphics card.
Gaming PCs are for chumps with more money then they know what do to with. Good for you. Some of us have a budget and don't want to waste money on all that BS you rattled on about.
I pre-ordered the PS4 on day one , just as I did with the Wii U.
I actually like the Wii U for what it is. The Nintendo only gaming machine. There is value in that.
But if you want more then plumbers in red overalls or guys in green Tights it is not a good value.
But gaming pc? Jesus. What a joke to bring that in here.
Talk about irrelevant.

PC gaming costs roughly the same as owning a console.
Google around and you'll learn a lot.
The only thing I found was a shoddy article that gave the Xbox 360 a 3 year life cycle to match when the PC would be outdated and need money for upgrades.
The idiot also included the price of the TV. What a load. 99% of the people already have a TV. So that was just there to skew his numbers.
Basically a joke all around and only proved pc gaming rigs have a 3 year life whereas console will hold up for 6-10 years.
Next.

With the Wii U still selling at a loss (I can't believe that they are still not making money off the Wii U...Nintendo needs to negotiate with their suppliers) I doubt that they would cut the price and bleed their profits even more. I think instead they can make the Wii U a better value; for instance bundling the Deluxe with both NintendoLand and LoZ:WWHD pre-installed on the system, along with a $15-$20 off promotional ticket for the eShop on games like Pikmin 3, The Wonderful101, or LegoCity: Undercover, etc while keeping the system at $349.99. They should do this before the PS4/X1 releases; maybe around the last week of October the latest.
While those are worthy ideas there is still one problem. .. it costs $349 and the PS4 is $399 and looks a much better value. You now get 4 "free to play" games on day one also.
The 3ds had no competition when it was floundering and they still had to cut the price to move the system.
Now Nintendo has two great systems coming out for the holiday to compete with.
They will be lucky to have 20% of the market in the next few years. It is that bleak.

Actually the article itself gave the pc rig 3 years before upgrades. It was going for cheap. Not a $5000 rig. Which obviously loses any cost credibility. You can't be serious with that statement. Just because new PC hardware is released constantly doesn't mean the older hardware automatically becomes inadequate to run most games released that generation.
So. Now we know the date of the Wii U price cut.
11/15/2013
Well assuming Nintendo knows what they are doing.

Maybe it is Link's long lost sister Linka, and we find out Ganon is their father. .. oh wait I am thinking Star wars.http://www.nintendo-...itly-said-link/
Aonuma responded: “No one explicitly said that that was Link” followed by a smile and laugh. Connections to Link’s opening blue garb in The Wind Waker were also met with a smile, but the Zelda series producer wouldn’t be pushed for more information.

But when you get to the mountains will we be able to climb them?
For example most games use a mountain range to form as border so you can't enter an area until you pass dungeon, get gate key etc.
Always wanted to just climb over LOL.

I think Link actually is a girl in this one. Or that might actually be Zelda. That cloak is highly reminescent of the one worn by zelda to hide her face in games like tp.
I dunno. Too early to say you are wrong. Looks male to me, But i am watching on a S3. Maybe I need a S5 or Note 3
No. The spinning ones in the air didnt shoot, nor did the spinning ones in the ground.
The enemy isnt a monster, its a hylian magical machination like an armos statue, or the guardian of the tower of the Gods, running rampant. It does fire EXACTLY the same type of projectiles, with the same impressive speed as Ghodan from wind waker, and looks very similar in design astetic, which is Hylian.
Its weakness is a crystal gem on the back of its turret, which link targets with the upgraded arrows (Bomb/fire arrows) at the end of the trailer.
Thanks for the clarification.

I like the feel when you are basically controlling a cartoon.
Feels less like a game and more like an experience.
Hard to explain but maybe someone knows what I mean.
