#186235 PS4 looks more like a PS3.2 than a low-end PC imo

Posted by Luca on 25 March 2013 - 02:26 PM in General Gaming

It pretty much is a PS3.

I don't get why anyone would buy it, it just adds software like miiverse and a share button.

Although I do not like Sony, I buy Xbox consoles because I think Sony just copies all other systems (new copy of Kinect, PS Move = Wii, etc.), I have to say that there is a point in buying it. This is because it has a much more improved video card, letting it handle MUCH more (ex. more entities) on screen with a perfect frame rate. If you've seen the preview where MANY many balls drop onto a surface, that was shown to demonstrate how it can handle all of these objects on screen and have no lag at all. If you were to do that on a PS3, it would most likely cause a severe drop in frame rate.

#185135 UK Price-cut (it's not very effective)

Posted by Luca on 21 March 2013 - 05:20 PM in Wii U Hardware

:( I love the idea of the Wii U, but the lack of games kills it.

The only thing I use it for is Just Dance, and besides that I haven't used it since December...

I need a good game!! :P

#183028 HD Remakes

Posted by Luca on 15 March 2013 - 12:37 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Game no one knows 1! Seriously, why would they remake some of these games you people are suggesting, they're clearly very unpopular... Nintendo would remake the more popular ones, like Wind Waker.

I'd like to see a new or remade Super Mario Sunshine :D

#177654 Second Gamepad functionality

Posted by Luca on 28 February 2013 - 03:39 PM in Wii U Hardware

Hmmm, there is quite a bit of what seems to be duplicated logic in the GPU, perhaps for this contingency.

Well if that's the case, then it may be able to support 60 on both. That'd be incredible if it did :D But I say not to get your hopes up too fast.

#177650 Second Gamepad functionality

Posted by Luca on 28 February 2013 - 03:35 PM in Wii U Hardware

How would anyone know this? I don't think a single game has this functionality.

EDIT: Yet

Well it only makes sense. You have two gamepads now, and since the Wii U sends 60FPS to gamepad, if there is two, it'd need to send out two video signals now, the only way to do this is by splitting it. Therefore, 60/2 = 30.

#177645 Second Gamepad functionality

Posted by Luca on 28 February 2013 - 03:31 PM in Wii U Hardware

I heard that the framerate goes from 60FPS -> 30FPS when using two gamepads. Also, one player browsing web while other is playing the game is not possible. Sadly, the Wii U only has 2GB RAM, so to use the web while the game is playing would make the game have far too many lagspikes, and it would be a very unenjoyable game experience. I'd just like to see being able to play a game, where one player is versing the other both on gamepads. That's all I would need to buy one, as long as most or a lot of games support the feature. I'd love to see 2 Gamepads by the time of the SSB release :)

#177075 Wii U sales fall below PS Vita's for the first time

Posted by Luca on 27 February 2013 - 11:05 AM in Wii U Hardware

I'm sure the sales will sky-rocket once SSB is announced, or released. And some other games too, like Wind Waker HD will boost up sales.

#174682 Put Your Number In My Phone.

Posted by Luca on 22 February 2013 - 08:33 PM in The Café

lol ok. Guess I need to invest in a new pair of headphones!

Lmao, it's not that big of a deal, I could definitely see how you heard what you did. Especially cause of what the video is about. I just needed to point that out :P

#174304 Put Your Number In My Phone.

I'm from Russia... I'm Italian...

Haha!

No he said "I'm Vitale, I'm from Russia". I don't know how to spell it but Vitale is a name.

#172450 Would Wii U freeze less often when running recent Wii games? (Possible purchase

Posted by Luca on 17 February 2013 - 02:22 PM in Wii U Hardware

Since the Wii U has a better video card, I've noticed it runs games a lot smoother. I can't say anything about the Lego game crashing problem, because I've never owned any Lego games.

#169383 over before it began..

Posted by Luca on 09 February 2013 - 05:09 PM in Wii U Games and Software

The X360 & PS3 had more games out then the Wii U does at the same point in their lifespan, that's the issue.

I'm thinking of it this way, if it's true or not. When the Xbox 360 and PS3 came out, they were something new. The graphics were great, all the new features were awesome. Developers were excited to get their hands on the HD and stuff. But now the Wii U is out, and the 1080p and such is nothing new. It's just another console. When the PS4 and Xbox 720 come out, they probably won't have as many games as the 360/PS3 either at the same point.

And as another point worth noting, games like BF3, or Sims 3 or whatever, won't come out for Wii U because their next game is coming fairly soon, so it would be pointless. Once their next game comes, they'll probably release it for Wii U aswell.

Probably not entirely or even true at all, but that's the way I see it just from thinking about it.

#169371 over before it began..

Posted by Luca on 09 February 2013 - 04:43 PM in Wii U Games and Software

You can't sell your Wii U. If you are, have you forgotten that Super Smash Bros U is coming in a few years?
I'm also annoyed that there aren't many third party games, but the console is still brand new, just deal with it. Same thing happened with 3DS, but they've gotten games since then. The Wii U is not doomed IMO, it was sold out pre-orders EVERYWHERE, that doesn't just happen. Just give it a year, I guess.

The only thing I'm waiting for is something like Colors! to draw on the gamepad. How can that NOT be out yet?????

#169368 Switching to wii u from ps3

Posted by Luca on 09 February 2013 - 04:38 PM in Wii U Games and Software

You can't use the Wii U with a monitor. Why would you want to? That's kind of weird. Just use a TV... Plus you get to sit on the couch so it's even better.
Gaming on a monitor is for PCs.

#165328 PS4 announcement in 20 days?

Posted by Luca on 31 January 2013 - 09:46 PM in General Gaming

Lol but I can see it costing that much.
I know it will at less be the ps3 price so around $599

That's insane. If it is $800, it'd be extremely unpopular. The Wii U was $350 and that was a big deal for me to get it. Even $600 is pretty rediculous.
Regardless, I'm not getting PS4, even if it was $200. I'm an Xbox/Nintendo person :P
I feel Microsoft would blow me away more than Sony. Plus Sony is ridiculous with initial pricing, too.

But if there was a price drop with PS Vita I might look into getting one. Maybe. Probably not, though :3

#163609 mac mini or cheap custom built pc

Posted by Luca on 27 January 2013 - 08:23 AM in The Café

You're looking to game, build a PC, no debate.
You can buy an actually good gaming PC with $800.
Just a note though, if you decide to get a good video card, make sure your power supply meets it's requirements. The power supply is an important part of the PC.

#162578 Wii U Pro Controller For Wii Games?

Posted by Luca on 24 January 2013 - 10:23 AM in Wii U Hardware Help

Wii U Pro Controller does not play Wii Games. You could use a Wii remote to play Wii U games. You will need Wii remotes, you use them a lot to play many games for Wii U.

#162524 Can Wii-U be connected to Computer Monitor?

Posted by Luca on 24 January 2013 - 07:31 AM in Wii U Hardware

I tried this with my 1080p computer monitor, and it didn't work. The Wii U said there was no TV and my monitor wouldn't display the Wii U.

#162246 Pikmin delayed to 2014

Posted by Luca on 23 January 2013 - 01:21 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Great articles the second one especially.

http://www.p4rgaming.com/?p=878

How is it stupid? It's just a parody of every gaming blog. What sucks is that some people believe this nonsense.

No, I'm pretty sure they're actually trying to get people to believe this stuff. They're not kidding.

That site is really entertaining, though. I went through about 15 pages of the articles, and some made me really laugh :D

#161543 Pikmin delayed to 2014

Obviously spoof. Read this one: http://www.p4rgaming.com/?p=980

Or this one : http://www.p4rgaming.com/?p=952
Because Microsoft is soooo poor that they need to incorporate advertisements. What a stupid site.

#160420 Capcom will shut down Monster Hunter Tri servers on April 30th

Posted by Luca on 17 January 2013 - 07:24 PM in General Gaming

That's messed up :P Like sometimes when I'm bored I would go play Call of Duty 4 for the nostalgia and stuff, so it's kind of not right that they're shutting down servers so you can't go back...

#159316 I am no longer defending Wii U...

Posted by Luca on 14 January 2013 - 04:43 PM in Wii U Hardware

LOL, I opened this thread thinking "What is wrong with you people?". Turns out, this is one of the best posts I've read about the Wii U yet! Great post, sir!

I opened it with this face ~ -_-
I thought it would be some post about how the Wii U didn't meet someones expectations, and they were upset they got it and thought another system was or would be better.
But it turned out to be a good post! :D

#158644 Reggie Dates Animal Crossing: New Leaf!

Posted by Luca on 11 January 2013 - 08:53 PM in Roleplay and Forum Games

I thought you meant like puts a date on it. I was hoping it would be released earlier. CAN'T WAIT OMG.

#158643 Another Java Exploit

FAKE! Even if it's real, don't download stupid stuff and you'll be fine :P

#155698 Wii U wont show up on TV?

Posted by Luca on 03 January 2013 - 02:26 PM in Wii U Hardware Help

Are the TVs 720p? Because I used a 720p TV and I had to first go into settings on GamePad and change the resolution, which was 1080p. I don't know if it's the case, but it worked for me I guess.

#155034 Turning GamePad off/on standby question

Posted by Luca on 01 January 2013 - 06:03 PM in Wii U Hardware Help

You can do a standby mode when you click the home menu button, go to controller settings and put it in sleep mode.

Yes, but you can't do anything while in that sleepmode. OP wants to know how to put the GamePad into sleepmode, and watch Netflix while it is.
