Of all devices, why a 3DS. It might have actually been a prank by the person who traded in the 3DS as they would not likely have a link back to them.

It's not like every 3DS comes pre-loaded with porn. Just some morons who took pictures on a 3DS and then traded it in, and the morons at GS who didn't reformat it. And it's also not GameStop's fault, it's that GameStop employee. I think GameStop is a great place to get games

The Wii U doesn't support DLC yet, it is supposed to when the December update comes. I'm also waiting, I want Gangnam Style and stuff!

I returned my copy the next day, Nintendo really dropped the ball on that one.

So I'm not the only one? Wow I thought I was the only one disappointed. I really played Paper Mario for the story, and once I saw the whole level layout I got so disappointed. No one talks, only toads. After waiting over a year for this game, it was upsetting... Too bad I digitally downloaded, so I can't return it :/

I wish they would make a Paper Mario U or something new and fresh.

If the Wii U Paper Mario will be anything like the 3DS one, you can count me out. It was disappointing, especially when waiting for it specifically since 2010.

It's like the vita cartridge upside down. But what would you use this for? Where would you put it?

What is Dolby? What other game system has Dolby? Why would they incorporate something that very few people will use? Yeah.

Every time I pick up my gamepad, I feel like I am holding a handheld or a tablet of some sort... then I remember that it's a controller... then I think to myself "why does it have two screens again?" This is one thing I can't find the answer to since most of the things it does could have just used a wii remote! Like miiverse, sure it's more efficient to type on something besides pointing at the TV... but that's not what I am focusing on. The one game that everyone expects will show what the Wii U is capable of, it's graphics, innovation-al game-play, etc. Is nintendo land. Now people may think I am going to say "oh it sucks 'cause it's a mini game collection!" But to be honest I had fun playing it. My only complaint is some of these games don't require the gamepad! Like that one metroid game... WHY?! I mean I know you can use the wii remote when you're on ground, but in air you need the gamepad... why make it so hard? In the one zelda game the second player uses the gamepad to shoot arrows, but why couldn't they just use wii remote and nunchuck? It's the same thing... but more realistic! And if you've played ANY wii game that has you holding something and swinging it around...you've played this... this game is a rehash of that one awesome sword game on wii sports resort! Minus the archery part! The pikmin game.... I thought it was fine playing pikmin 2 on wii with the wii remote, why change it? All I have to say... that f-zero game, you can see the map on the gamepad and it has motion controls... wii remote has motion controls... but I am not necessarily saying that all the games are bad, I am just saying like 2 or 3 of them have redundant gamepad use. Some of them you can just use a wii remote, but the gamepad stays on! Same thing with New super mario bros. U! Sometimes I like using the wii remote in that game! But why must the gamepad stay on? The only choice you have is putting it in sleep mode through the home menu. Oh and the Wii U freezes... happened to me twice in new super mario bros. U, but I am guessing this is a miiverse problem and nintendo will take care of it so I will leave it at that. And that is my (pointlessish rant) on Wii U...

Well mostly because Nintendo Land was the game to show off most of the features of the GamePad. It had like every way possible to play within all the minigames. Other games only use the Wiimote, and use the GamePad for something like a radar. I don't see how using the Wii remote is better than the GamePad anyway, I love holding the GamePad :]

If you only use it as a web browser, it's pointless to not sell it. You can use your Wii U as a web browser!

Yeah, Just Dance 4 told me there is a uPlay app in the eShop also, but I didn't see it either.

I'm personally hoping there will be a good amount of homebrew development. But unfortunately, if this topic gets to about getting ROMs/ISOs, it will be locked.

Although I enjoy modding my devices, I can't do it for new devices because they get a lot of updates within the first few years. So I won't be modding my Wii U for a looooooong time, anyway. Same with my 3DS.

The 7 hour download has nothing to do with the Wii U, it's your internet that's causing the issues. It took me around 30 minutes.
The only thing I want is some extra apps like drawing and some board games and all :] Hopefully they will be available for cheap in the eShop. The stand isn't that cheap, it does what it needs to. And also a camera app would be cool too :3 Although you can only take pics of yourself, it's still cool. I'm not saying I expect it in the eShop, because it's only the first day.
But overall, I would give Wii U a 9.5/10 :] I looooove it.

There seems to be a lot more basic models being produced so it will sell more regardless. The deluxe will be more popular just because it's black, has a Nintendo game bundled, and comes with a digital bonus. It just hits a lot of bases at once, even though I personally don't like black or care much about Nintendo Land lol.

I don't think the black has anything to do with it, I wanted a white Wii U to match my Wii, but I wanted the deluxe more. I think Nintendo Land is the main pull of the deluxe. You get a $60 game for $50 extra, and more space, too. Great deal, which is why it'll sell more. Although, if someone is getting Wii U as a present for someone else, or their young children, they'll go with basic. If you're buying for yourself, or you asked your parents to get it for you, you'll most likely get deluxe.

Wii U, next gen play station and xbox will have most likely a small amount of new features, it will just have better graphics and stuff. Not worth it.

Yes, I've actually just heard this also. I was unaware they would sell Wii U systems without pre-order. It seems like you and I may both be able to get a Wii U on launch day :]

That's not the problem here, re-read both the first and second post.

Luca thinks that there will be 2GB RAM, 1GB for system, 1GB for the ongoing game. Luca also thinks there will be a seperate GPU, which will have it's own specs. PotatoHog disagrees. Luca isn't sure what's right, and would like clarification.

Also just bought tickets to see Wreck-It-Ralph :] Great movie, definitely reccomended to people familiar with old 1980+ arcade games.

Try GameStop, if not, try Best Buy. I'm sure every store will get at least ONE console that wasn't pre ordered. But, I'd recommend going to a midnight launch if you are able to. If not, make sure to line up early in the morning to get ahead of anyone else ( who may or may not try to scalp the consoles for financial gain).

Haha, if you didn't preorder, the only way you can get a console is going to a store that doesn't accept pre-orders. GameStop? No way. They've been sold out since September, you'll be on the waitlist if you ask to pre-order, and there are already 250,000+ people on the waitlist alone. Bestbuy has been sold out also. They won't make exceptions, or randomly give you a console. If you went to Nintendo World, you could get one, since they give on a first come first served basis. But that line will also fill, so you'd have to go a few days in advanced, and wait on a line for days. In other words, you won't get a Wii U on launch day. Sorry, I'm not either :/

Most of the games are pretty good and worth buying, but the games here are all pretty trashy. I wouldn't buy any of them.
