#123068 Wii U Wishlist

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 31 October 2012 - 04:43 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Besides the obvious Donkey Kong, 3D Mario, Mario Kart & Zelda games, I'd like to see a 1080 Snowboarding sequel, Waverace, a new F Zero, a Proffesor Layton game & an Ace Attorney game

* these are just the exclusive Nintendo games I'd like.

#162855 Disc error 150-1031

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 25 January 2013 - 06:13 AM in Wii U Hardware

I just got Black Ops 2 today and it seemed to working fine until I went online.

I got into a game & after about 5 seconds, it threw up this error and said that the disc couldn't be read and may be dirty but its brand new.

Is the Wii U at fault or is it the game? I've tried other games offline & they work, as does this, but this is the first time I've played online with the Wii U & this happens!

I'll send it back tomorrow & hopefully another copy will work

#152446 ZombiU Questions (Tips or Tricks Welcome)

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 27 December 2012 - 05:25 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I have a question; where does your photo of your zombie self get save to? Just took one there and clicked a button to download it (I think) & I'm just getting a rotating circle with nothing happening & I can't go to home or anything. I don't want to turn the machine off

#144102 New Update right now?!

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 05 December 2012 - 11:50 AM in Wii U Hardware

Just got my Wii U today so downloading an update at the moment. Does anyone know if this will include today's update too or will that be a separate one after this one?

#144129 New Update right now?!

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 05 December 2012 - 12:43 PM in Wii U Hardware

All worked fine & I've got everything sorted now & packed away til Christmas :(

I noticed when I registered my Nintendo ID that it says do I want to use an existing one. Does that mean you can now have your account on 2 or more separate consoles rather than being locked to just one?

#144105 New Update right now?!

If you're connecting for the first time today, the update you receive should include the one released yesterday.

Thanks :)

#127717 Getting audio from Wii U?

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 11 November 2012 - 02:49 PM in Wii U Hardware

I was hoping it was that easy but the optical out just works for the inbuilt digital tuner. Any HDMI inputs into the TV won't output through optical

#127646 Getting audio from Wii U?

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 11 November 2012 - 12:27 PM in Wii U Hardware

I didn't pay for the speakers as I run everything through my amp & they were about £200 extra! It's the Kuro PDPLX508D I have. A bit old now but still an excellent TV

I have an optical out on the panel but I couldn't get it to work the last time I tried, although that was about 2 years ago...

I'll need to have a mess around with the connections & try & get it to work as it would be hell of a lot easier than having the 3 optical cables I use just now on a switch to change input, plus another for the Wii U too

#127626 Getting audio from Wii U?

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 11 November 2012 - 12:14 PM in Wii U Hardware

I have a Pioneer Kuro plasma TV which is a panel only (no speakers) & I currently get sound from my PS3, Sky HD & Apple TV using optical connections to my bluray/amp all in one unit.

The amp unit doesn't allow HDMI sound & I notice the Wii U only comes with a HDMI cable.

Is there any way I can get the picture to go through my TV using HDMI & get the audio using either optical or the red/white connectors?

#127667 Getting audio from Wii U?

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 11 November 2012 - 01:33 PM in Wii U Hardware

I was hoping to get picture through HDMI & audio using the Wii av cable :(

Will the component Wii cable work with Wii U?

#127673 Getting audio from Wii U?

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 11 November 2012 - 01:49 PM in Wii U Hardware

That's what I've been thinking of doing. Before trying to get to the back of the TV on the wall I've done a bit of research on the net & it seems on the built in digital tuner supports the optical out & not any connected devices.

My TV has component inputs so I may need to go component rather than HDMI so I can connect the red/white plugs to my amp

#127705 Getting audio from Wii U?

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 11 November 2012 - 02:36 PM in Wii U Hardware

I can get HDMI from the Wii U to TV but no sound through HDMI as the TV has no speakers & amp has no HDMI input.

If the Wii U let you get audio through optical as well as picture through HDMI, like the PS3 & 360, it would be fine but it doesn't appear that it does.

If its not possible to get audio with my set up, I'll be cancelling my preorder :(

Yes.

Component cables are HD.

Thanks, ill order one of them then :D I did use component on the pre HDMI 360. Just wasn't sure if the Wii one would work with Wii U

#168604 Even Rayman Legends Creator Protesting Wii U Delay

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 07 February 2013 - 10:53 PM in Wii U Games and Software

So other than Lego City, unless there's the inevitable delay, then there's nothing for me to play on the Wii U now for 7 months :( May aswell just sell up & buy again in 6 months time when the price will be lowered due to carp sales

#159354 Gamepad signal extender?

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 15 January 2013 - 01:54 AM in Wii U Hardware

Does anyone know of any devices that can extend the range of signal which is transmitted between the Wii U & the gamepad?

I can get halfway up my stairs before the signal cuts out but would like to be able to use the pad in my room for games like Mario & Sonic Transformed

#133309 DO NOT BUY DIGITAL DOWNLOADS!

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 19 November 2012 - 06:44 AM in Wii U Games and Software

That's shocking! There's so many things I'm reading that make the Wii U seem so backwards :(

#130670 wii component cable compatibility

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 16 November 2012 - 07:19 AM in Wii U Hardware

For a separate speaker yes, but not if you're just having the sound through component and HDMI for picture, as you have to have your TV input set to 1. You can't set it to 2 inputs at the same time on your TV, but on the system you can.

Was hoping it would be like the PS3 where you can have picture through HDMi & audio through a separate connection :( Thanks for the info though!

#130279 wii component cable compatibility

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 15 November 2012 - 03:55 PM in Wii U Hardware

Can you use HDMI & component at the same time? eg HDMI for picture & the red/white part of component for sound through an amp?

#127218 Wii U GamePad Has A ‘Mystery’ Connector

I'd love a little DS card reader to go there to play DS games on the 2 screens, TV & touchscreen :)

#137458 RUMOR - Second New Super Mario Bros. U update wiping saves

What do the patches actually do to the game? Can't imagine a Mario game needing patched

#133388 NSMBU: The Best Mario Game Since Mario World?

Is it possible to play the game without even switching your TV on?

#251173 On the Fence of picking up the WIiU

Posted by OneManTagTeam on 12 October 2013 - 11:51 PM in Wii U Hardware

I just bought another Wii U on Friday and only have Wind Waker HD at the moment but have ordered Lego City, Pikmin 3 and Mario Bros U from eBay for less than £45 for all 3.

Only playing exclusives on my Wii U and I'm getting a PS4 next month for everything else.

Getting Mario Land 3D and the new Sonic game at Christmas, Donkey Kong & Mario Kart in the new year. Beyond that, who knows?

But yeah, good time to get a Wii U. You can play some older titles until Mario World etc come out in a few weeks & they can be bought on the cheap
