This has turned into such an awful thread. 

 

 

The title of this thread is a positive one but you wouldn't think that, based off of the responses. 

 

Regardless if you're purchasing this game or not, I think everyone should be excited for this game. It's receiving a lot of positive attention by the gaming industry and, right now, that's really what the Wii U needs. 

I don't like this woman's style. She constantly comes off as someone who needs to assert her 'intelligence.' Her opinion obviously shouldn't and doesn't matter to me, but I know a lot of you guys were looking forward to this title.

Haha, a bit. I found it easier to use the right stick instead of the touch screen.

 

It's a bit complex for sure, though. It's an interesting endeavor by Platinum, to say the least.

 

I was going to purchase Rayman Legends over this, but I might have to make room for both of these titles. There's just too many Wii U games this holiday.

I initially wasn't too fond of the demo, but I took a week off and replayed it tonight and holy crap, this game rules. 

Controls take some time to get used to. The demo wasn't the best offering, but based off the Direct, I am confident in this game. 

Picked it up. 

 

Unite Whip is so smooth.

I am on Operation 003 right now. 

 

I am really digging it. I find it best to play in short periods rather than longer play sessions, but that's just me.

 

I am pretty terrible at the game, but I am getting better. Unite Whip is still my favorite morph and Wonder-Green is my favorite Wonderful 100. 

 

The action is really great and relentless. The narrative is pretty funny as well.

 

Some complaints: the camera sucks, some morphs get clumsy in executing, and the missions are a bit too long for high-score chasing. 

 

I would really recommend it, though. 

I am debating on buying the digital copy and keeping my LE sealed (I am a huge Zelda fan). I need an external hard drive already!

From a consumer's point of view, NSMBU won't be on sale any time soon, as Nintendo games rarely drop in price. If I were you, I would just buy that one first, assuming you have every intention of eventually picking up all three.

Black Ops 2 and ZombiU will definitely be in the $30-40 range soon enough---not suggesting anything negative about the games, it's just usually how third party games fair.

So, if you're intending on buying all three, you might as well buy Mario first because I don't anticipate a price drop until at least 2014. However, if you're not sure if you're going to buy all three, I would go with ZombiU, as I have significantly enjoyed my time with it thus far.

Ported? Hm..Bioshock Infinite, DMC, Dark Souls, Ni no Kuni, etc.

Pikmin 3, some NSMBU, NSLU, and Lego City Undercover.

Scores, sales, etc. People are too into numbers. 

On the last mission. I think the game is difficult if you're careless, so I agree with the Dark Souls comparisons. Just go slow and scan areas. Also, don't try and kill all the infected in an area; sometimes, it's better to just run, especially if they're not carrying any loot. I logged in over nine hours, which is a good length for this type of game.

It's fun, tense, and satisfying.

However, I DO feel that the game would have benefited from six more months in development. Despite that, I do feel the game is more in the 7.5-8/10 area more so than 4.5/10.

Will be interesting to see how Nintendo promotes the digital version of this title..

Wait for a sale. $60.00 is pretty steep for it, in my opinion.

The fact that Pikmin 3 started out as a handheld game, then a Wii game, and now a Wii U game is intriguing.

 

I think the game looks fantastic for being bridged several times.

FInished the main story today. Awesome title, coming from someone who has never played Pikmin before. Loved it.

I am absolutely horrible at this game, but I love it. I just cleared Twilight River. Definitely my favorite Wii U title right now.
