If the republican party and Boehner's clowns didn't shutdown the government everything would be better but it is silly of Obama to do that.

Today IGN gave Sonic Lost World a low score of like a 5 or something. Considering how they give games like Halo, COD, and Battlefield insanely high reviews and games like Zombi U a low score, and games like the Wii U version of Rayman a lower score then other ports I have grown to suspect IGN's reviews are either biased or bought out, or the fact they simply hate most Nintendo games. Your thoughts?

Let's see reasons why it's not coming back anytime soon.
- Feld0 probably needs to be here to reinstate it
- The general userbase of the forums as a whole is still incredibly immature
- Most of the people that'd use the chatbox have already proven themselves unable to control themselves in a chatroom environment
1. Fire Feld0
2. I noticed it being way more mature than before.
3. Put the chatbox on the main page and moderate it.
If the chat returns I shall never troll again.
Why are you blackmailing?

#249699 EA and Maxis exploring offline options for Simcity

Eight months after the disastrous launch of "SimCity" that many irate players attributed to the game's nonsensical always-online requirement, publisher Electronic Arts and developer Maxis are now "exploring the possibility" of an offline mod for the city-building simulation.
Writing in a blog post Friday discussing the "State of SimCity," Maxis Emeryville general manager Patrick Buechner said that while the online server stability and connectivity issues that plagued "SimCity" throughout its launch in March of this year are now "behind us," the studio still wants to give "players the ability to play even if they choose not to connect."
Buechner said that he "can't make any promises" for an official offline mode of "SimCity" yet, but he noted that allowing player to access "SimCity" content without being connected to the Internet and logged into EA's servers would provide both players and developers an easier way to manage user-generated content for the upcoming "SimCity" mod tools that Maxis is planning to implement to let users build their own custom objects into the game.
Much in the same way as Blizzard recently promised to quietly phase "Diablo 3's" auction house out of existence, Maxis and EA's sudden change of heart on allowing "SimCity" players to play the game without a persistent Internet connection brings one of the year's biggest gaming controversies closer to an uneasy conclusion. When "SimCity" was first launched, it was beset by many technical issues —players weren't able to log onto EA's servers, would get kicked out of the game at random intervals, and lose much of their progress in the process.
These sorts of technical hiccups are nothing new — Rockstar is currently dealing with the same problems with its newly launched "Grand Theft Auto Online." What set Maxis and EA apart was its reaction to irate fans who had no interest in playing "SimCity" online. Shortly after "SimCity" first launched, Lucy Bradshaw, the general manager of EA's Maxis Label, wrote a response to angry fans on EA's blog saying that yes, the company could have made an offline version of the game if it really wanted to, but the developers didn't want to because an "always-connected" requirement was "fundamental to the vision we had for 'SimCity.'"
Six days before Bradshaw made that statement, she told the gaming site Polygon that making an offline mode for "SimCity" would require "a significant amount of engineering work." At the same time, the studio said via its official "SimCity" Twitter account that it had "no intention of offlining SimCity any time soon," but that it would "look into that as part of our earning back your trust efforts."
Nearly eight months later, it seems like EA and Maxis are finally returning to this original stance—saying that while implementing an offline mode for "SimCity" will require some extra work, it's not necessarily a move the companies would be opposed to.
8 months is kind of late if you ask me. I hope they learn from this mistake.

1. There is a story mode, just no cutscenes
2. There would be an outrage if there was less characters, they wouldn't risk it
3. Nintendo doesn't make a big deal on new announced characters, they make 1 miiverse post and add a page to the website.
4. They will only announce new characters in special times, like a big Ninty Direct or E3, not in a picture on miiverse...
I hope so.

Really, this thread has troll written all over it. You don't even have valid argument for it being a rehash.
It was a legit concern and you just labeled it what you believe to be "a typical Saturn troll thread" I havent made one in a long time. Think before you jump at me.

I decided to rent GTA V and it turns out to be one of the greatest games I ever played. I have always liked GTA but it never totally blew my mind until I played GTA V. Where do I begin?
Presentation 10/10
The new lush open world of Los Santos is waaaaaay more beautiful, detailed, and breathtaking than Liberty City (which was already all of the above). There are three charcters to play as which have their own stories that you can switch between when you wish, each has their special abilities. And everything you liked about the previous GTA games. Plus changing weather.
Graphics 9.5/10
It may not have Crysis 3 graphics but it never fails to be detailed and sweet. The graphics create an immerse world.
Sound Music 9/10
As with all other GTA games it features a ton of cool radio stations that play a variety of tunes and funny talk shows. The game features great but typical gun and explosion sounds.
Fun 10/10
An open world filled with plenty of land to explore. Better looking combat which makes melee fighting more enjoyable. Planes you can fly around in. As well as many returning elements that have made the franchise enjoyable, many have been improved.
Replay 9.5
The GTA games have always been fun to come back to multiple times. There is an online mode opening up soon that looks amazing to play on and on. And plenty of side missions and acheivements/trophies to complete.
Verdict 9.5/10
This game is just simply brilliant. I was expecting the typical GTA experience but i got a lot more than I thought. People say sand box games are the way of the future and GTA 5 will be the model of how to make a great entertaining one. You must by all means play this game.

I may get a ton of hate for this but I think SSB4 will be just a bland rehash. My reasons of thinking this is that when characters are announced they are just returns and Nintendo makes a big deal about them. That makes me think there will be even less fighters! Plus they took out story mode making less substance already. I smell a downgrade. Let the hate begin.

I'm so glad Ubisoft sees the Wii U as an equal to the other consoles when it comes to getting DLC. Now only if the Batman Origins DLC was not PS3 only but for all consoles instead.
WB is actually like that to everyone but Nintendo. For the crime of thinking Ninty's are stupid WB is hereby sentenced to flop when making their rainbowty Wii U ports.

Wii U Hardware
Let's not get ahead of our selves the WiiU has problems a ton of them and I think it's only right for people to complain about them. Like not having accounts like the ps3/360 and next gen consoles or really not having any games that distinguishes what the system/gamepad can do.
They blow the issues out of the water though and never commend it on the good points. Thats what I have a problem with.
How is that a good excuse? Clearly Sony, Microsoft, nVidia, numerous others have gotten round that problem (or paid a license fee). You don't just drop a feature as important as that if you don't want to be considered a cheap kiddie console.
As for Miiverse, how is that even close to cross-game chat? Pause my game, wait 6 seconds for it to load, post a message, go back to the game, nothing like being able to just continue chatting verbally with friends regardless of who is playing what game. Does Wii U even tell you when you received a new message?
Its just all too slow, cumbersome and is mostly designed for drawing. Its extremely painful for me to write (in general not just on Wii U) never mind draw. I agree it has some merit, the people who CAN draw make awesome use of it, but for me its utterly useless. If I want to discuss a game its far too limited, I come here where I can make HUGE posts if I want and reach FAR more people.
As for achievements, I take it you are one of those people who believed they "ruined gaming"?
How has adding something, which games already had (a list of specific tasks to complete), but making it something you can compare against your friends, a bad thing? Sure, its annoying when you cannot get certain achievements because they are time limited (online stuff particularly), but that is more the case of bad design than inherent in the system.
I agree that Microsoft have made a mockery of the 360 over the last few years by focusing too much on video services, tying things behind Gold subscriptions and too many adverts. That does not however alter the fact the 360 launched some features I (used to) use all the time. The only reason I stopped is that my friends aren't really gaming much these days.
1. Just because Nintendo went their own way doesn't make them kiddy.
2. It could have been better but it is still pretty cool and innovative no matter what you may think
3. Achievements are a neat feature but not game changing.
4. Microsoft is pretty crazy on paywalls and ads.

Nintendo must realize even though the Wii was geared to casuals and families the Wii U is more like the Sony and MS's consoles and the kiddy ads won't work anymore.

is that feature worth $100 dollars. They could have spent the money getting a better cpu, more ram, better gpu or just made the console $100 cheaper all of those options I would have preferred over the gamepad but thats my opinion
Still a better value than the kinect being bundled with the Xbone but I do agree.

Most Wii U reviewers were fairly positive with the exception of biased ones like The Edge, The Verge, Wired, Gamespot, and some IGN reviews but they have always been known to overhype games with tons of promotion like COD and GTA but not Nintendo much due to the fact they don't promote will. Sounds like payola to me.

So recently I have pretty much left this site because I have really started to regret my purchase of the WiiU and I didn't want to be on this forum if all I have to say is negative things but I've decided to come back for probably one of my last posts for a while I will probably come back later when X come out so I have some good to say but for now I will get onto the point of this topic
The first thing I have to mention is the lack of unique experiences it seems like most of the WiiU library that is out so far I can get on the 3ds/another console look at the games that have come out in the last two years 2 zelda remakes one for 3ds one for WiiU, 2 2-D mario games one for 3ds one for WiiU, 1 3d mario soon to be 2 though so I decided to include it, and soon to be 2 mario karts. The point of that was to really explain that most of the games that I can get on my WiiU I can get on my 3ds it seems like Nintendo is trying to copy the 3ds library onto the WiiU to me and of course the WiiU has Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 but the 3ds is just a much better deal me I would have rather just taken the money spent on the WiiU and bought more 3ds titles since I have a log of games that I need to get for the 3ds.
My second point is that the gamepad to me isn't as useful and innovative as I thought it would be, most devs including Nintendo haven't used the gamepad too its full potential yet and also I thought having a map on the touchscreen would be useful but since I've played GTA I've realized that it really isn't and that I prefer a mini map instead because I thought about it and if I'm going 60 mph on a bike in GTA I don't want to look away from the screen to look at a map I would rather look slightly to the left to see a mini map. Also the quick switching with weapons I thought would be much easier but since I've played GTA I've realized its much easier to do it the way GTA does which if you haven't played it yet you press a button and it slows down the game and you have time to select your weapon and I have to say I really like this and I haven't seen a game do better on the WiiU.
And now small complaints no connected ID's, no 3rd party support(not a big deal to me but to people who can only get one console it sucks), and the online isn't as advanced as what I have been used to which is to be expected but I thought they would have cross game voice chat by now
Now I would like to say some good about the WiiU the internet browser is absolutely amazing and wouldn't be the same without the gamepad, Miiverse is a great Idea and I would love to see where it goes in the future.
For me the WiiU is not the best console I have ever purchased for me, meaning my opinion, I think the best home console purchase I have ever made was the xbox 360 which if someone really cares I can tell you why but thats a story for another time
1. The Wii U versions of Mario/Mario Kart/Zelda WW are best on the Wii U so I don't see a problem there.
2. The Gamepad is innovative in games like Zombi U and Lego City. You are playing the wrong games.
3. 3rd party titles will appear after a decent ammount of 1st party titles succeed. I can't believe I still have to say that to people.
4. I agree.Miiverse is cool.
I just debunked your concerns.
