Damn, that's terrible!I'm hearing about a few problems with the GamePad, one that stands out the most is a dude on the IGN forums who had the image of the last game that he played burnt into the screen, kinda like the problems consoles have with plasma screen TV's

So, the power was unplugged when you were in the middle of the update?

Well, I'm glad that you didn't have to pay. Nice customer service.Well, of course I am responsible. That's not the point. I was just shocked at how easily the thing busted. Never broke a touchscreen in my life.
Anyway, since typing this out, and speaking on the phone to reps for about an hour, they decided to cover the damage because it is a new console and because I wasn't a total ass (i'm assuming). Also noted that this is the very first repair instance of a wiiu yet in North America. I guess that's kinda cool a weird backwards way!
All's well that ends well right?

Well, it's inaccurate to rely on - if someone can drop it 5 ft onto concrete and not break it, yet someone can drop is 2 inches on carpet and break it.Proof is in the pudding - its not inaccurate , its just that every situation is different. I know people who dropped cell phones, gameboys etc once and busted it - my gameboys and cell phones have fallen so many times on concrete its not even funny - yet nothing ever broke.

That's strange, makes a noise for everyone else with it out.My 3DS doesn't make a noise when i shake it about, only when the stylus is in place, if i remove it there is no noise at all.

Although it might sound ridiculous, I think what Noonabites said is the best bet. Nintendo are going out of there way to try and achieve a user friendly Miiverse... too user friendly, some might argue.

Would thing I would say I don't like, is the black trim around the screen.
It makes it look quite tacky, in my opinion, and not as sleek as it would look with; let's say, a matt white.
