#131384 Wii U: 7 Things You Must Know

Posted by PRP777 on 17 November 2012 - 09:22 AM in Wii U Hardware

That's a bummer that you need an external to do gamesaves. Would I be able to use a flashdrive to store saves?

Congradulations! Would it be possible for Gamestop to break the street date if they're informed about the other retailers doing so?

#131276 The size of Wii U games

Good thing 500GB externals are going for $50.00 I'm not intending to go all digital, but I will need the extra space for Nintendo Shop exclusives. Such as Trine 2, etc.

#131262 Is my copy of Assassin's Creed 3 defective? (Picture included)

Posted by PRP777 on 17 November 2012 - 05:25 AM in Wii U Hardware

It won't. You're worrying to much. And by the way it's defective and not defected.

Thanks for your reply and the correction, lol. I didn't notice that until you mentioned it.

Data is stored on the outer ring base. I believe the only purpose for the inner ring is to allow it to cling onto a clip (and for your finger :P)

I was also worried that it could damage the Laser Lens.

As long as it's not on the portion with the data you should be good to go.

Where exactly is the data stored? I thought it would be in the center of the disc.

I'm a bit concerned about these air bubbles on the disc. I have never had that in any of my Blu-rays or DVDs. Should I return the game in exchange for a new one?

The bubbles appear on the top center.

I was going to get it on the Wii U, but then I found out they were releasing this on the PC. PC for the win in the case, not to mention a bit cheaper, and Steam version is going to have cloud saving. Will save me ten bucks to put on another Wii U title later on.

Should be a bit of a giveaway in terms of the imagery. Sort of a casual platformer, with one of those in game editor style mechanics.

Thanks. I kind of figured, but I wasn't sure. I like platformers, but I'm unsure if it's worth the price considering I'm new to the series and have no idea what it's all about. I guess I'll read the review and check out some videos.

#131146 Uplay rewards for Ubisoft's Wii U Launch titles

Posted by PRP777 on 16 November 2012 - 09:47 PM in Wii U Games and Software

@PRP777 - Something similar to this I am sure.

It makes sense. Thanks for the help. In Assassin's Creed 2 however I recieved all the Uplay stuff as free DLC. I don't recall ever being asked to join Uplay. Perhaps, it functions differently for each console?

#131145 Hi, everyone!

I'm glad I pre-ordered the 360 version. I would have been screwed over had I got it for the PS3. (The PS3 is my main console this gen)

Agreed. I however was one of the unfortunate souls that made the mistake of purchasing the PS3 version (the collectors edition none the less). I haven't experienced major problems other then the occasional freeze every once in awhile, but that's due to the system not having enough open ram. Fortunately, I obtained a copy for my Xbox 360. Just in case if Bethesda decides to not release all the DLC.

#131144 No WiiU midnight at Gamestop?! WTF?!

Posted by PRP777 on 16 November 2012 - 09:21 PM in Wii U Hardware

No midnight launch in my state. I'm a little puzzled as to why, but perhaps it's best. I didn't want to have to hurt someone if they tried to rob me.

Cheers man thanks I love all three of those Anime's, and yeah it took a while to find a decent piece of SS3 art for a profile pic on this forum seeming as the picture has to be 100KB or less, stupid if you ask me lol.

That's an unfortunate limitation they have set, but at least the image is distinguishably recognizable to a fan at least. Did you get it from Deviantart? I can't wait for the new movie next year I have been following up on it at Daizenshuu EX.

Hey dude welcome to the forums and I agree with Dragon your taste in games is awesome :)

Thank you! BTW that's an awesome SSJ3 avatar. I love reanimated artwork. Death note and Bleach are a plus in my book. :D

#131130 New PS4 details from PSM3 Magazine

Posted by PRP777 on 16 November 2012 - 08:48 PM in General Gaming

Hopefully, none of this is true. Orbis sounds odd for a console name. I hope they stick with PS4 in the west since the number 4 has no alternate meaning.

#131126 Hi, everyone!

Welcome to the forums! It seems you have a good taste in games. I already have Assassin's Creed III for the Wii U.

Thank you. I see you like Elder Scrolls. I'm a fan of that myself. I hope Bethesda reconsiders releasing Skyrim for the Wii U. As long as it's encoded properly with no memory leaks ahem (PS3). I also think it would be great if Dimps or Spike released a Dragonball Z game for the Wii U.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

#131124 Do you get swayed by negative reviews?

Posted by PRP777 on 16 November 2012 - 08:23 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I have learned over the years that it's never best to buy a game without first reading some opinionated reviews. At $60.00 a pop I can't afford to take the gamble of buying a broken game, nor would I personally condone anyone to support developers that take part in these ridiculous practices of releasing something that's busted. Figuring it's ok we'll inconvenience our paying customers by releasing multiple patches that may or may not fix the game we sold them.

I haven't had the pleasure of playing this series yet. Will someone please inform me what genre this game is considered.

#131118 Uplay rewards for Ubisoft's Wii U Launch titles

Posted by PRP777 on 16 November 2012 - 07:57 PM in Wii U Games and Software

How exactly will this work? Do I download the app, and put in some sort of verifcation code that I own the game to unlock the additional content? I have Assassin's Creed 3, and would like to know how to optain that currency.

#131110 Hi, everyone!

Posted by PRP777 on 16 November 2012 - 07:48 PM in Introduction Central

Hello my name is Vincent. I've been a Nintendo fan since the 80's. I'm really excited about the release of the Wii U. I'll be picking mine on the 18th. So far, I have New Super Mario Bros. U and Assassin's Creed 3. I'll eventually be picking up ZombiU, Rayman Legends, Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Trine 2, and Aliens: Colonial Marines (whenever Sega decides to release it, lol). I look forward to being kept up to date with the latest news and releases. As well as making new friends.
