I am loving the game, but it appears that the GameStop near me is out of the NFC figures and have no idea if they will get more.

I pre-ordered mine the day before they were sold out. Good timing I guess, and I'm not opening it. Ever. I plan to sell it years from now, maybe when I'm all old and senile, for a butt-load of cash. *evil laughter*

I haven't heard of one but keep in mind that HD quality almost always comes with big size and 1 SD card of USB drive may not be enough even for one gaming session. Though if you don't have a laptop I see how this could be a problem. If there is a long distance between your PC and TV you just need to buy a longer HDMI cable.

 

My concern is that I use Ubuntu Linux, and they never make those things with Linux software. There are workarounds, but I just want to plug it in and make it work, not mess around with virtual OS and other crap. So... I just need something that records to any device that isn't a PC, so I can just copy the raw video to my hard drive and be done with it.

The first and probably most important thing you should consider is getting a good capture card because a lot of people would simply walk away when they see a gaming video filmed with a camcorder. I recommend the Elgato, it is what I'm currently using and I don't think there is currently a better alternative. If you want your channel to grow successfully, you can't ignore that.

 

Is there a capture device that doesn't need to be installed into my computer? Maybe something that can record to an SD Card or flash drive, so I can then copy the video to my computer and edit later.

Nintendo did a very poor job of explaining who the audience is. This is for children, not gamers. I think it will sell very well, but only time will tell.

I just started a new YouTube channel, it's all about Nintendo and various games/news/random information I feel like vlogging about. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on improving the videos? Anyone out there have a YouTube that is fairly successful? Any tips?

But that's juts it! There aren't only 4 games. See, you're a moron because you think there are only a few games to play. If you actually do some looking around you will see that there actually hundreds. This includes Virtual Console and the Indie games on the eShop. You should be playing those.

I'm so sick of hearing people say "I haven't played anything on my Nintendo console for months!" because that's your own fault, idiot. You're the stupid face who decided that since there is a perceived drought you're going to just ignore it and do absolutely nothing about finding a game you will enjoy playing on it. This isn't Nintendo's fault, this isn't the fault of 3rd party developes, this is ALL you, lazy butt.

 

What I have I been doing with my Wii U during this crazy "drought" you all speak of, which doesn't exist in reality in any way (so get a reality check),I've been enjoying a ton of Wii Ware titles. That's right! Wii Ware! There are a bunch of awesome games I hadn't yet discovered and I just rediscovered Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King, this time I download the DLC and and am having fun with that, kept me playing my Wii U all weekend actually.

 

So, to recap. If you're so sure there are no games to play, you're a moron. Also, you have no idea how to use your console. Promptly return it, thanks.

This developer was entirely unfamiliar to me, and then I looked up their past games. None of them have ever interested me. Not really all that excited to see what they have in development...

I know this sounds crazy, believe me, I know. I have been thinking about the Wii U Virtual Console's lack of GCN games and the fact that the Wii U Pro Controller can't really accommodate them. This got me wondering why it seemed as though there were plans way back before the console launched to have GCN games downloadable from the eShop, but no announcements could be made at the time (or now apparently), and that's when it kind of clicked. Nintendo isn't really held up by hardware or legal issues with GCN titles (well, maybe some legal issues for many 3rd party titles) I think they are working on new hardware. A kind of Wii U Classic Controller.

 

I know what you're thinking! They have the Wii U Pro Controller, it is sufficient. Yes, for the most part, it is. The Pro Controller was designed specifically for use with Wii U and most VC games, but what about games that used pressure sensitive triggers? For that you need something akin the Classic Controller on the Wii. Of course, redesigned for two things; GCN games and N64 games. This would also explain partially why there are no N64 games yet. This Wii U Classic controller would be designed specifically to make playing GCN and N64 games a lot less awkward, since the Classic Controller for the Wii was kind of weird when playing N64 games. I mean... for me, if I'm being 100% honest, I hated the Wii's Classic Controller when playing N64 VC games and I ended up using my GCN controller. Always.

 

So... I think this is what they're working on. I could be wrong, but it makes a lot of sense...

I've read his post and while I wish something like the end results he predicts would happen, chances are he's just a fool. Honestly, the Wii U is a joke right now and I don't see that turning around. I am a huge fan of Nintendo and I love my Wii U, but have you seen the sales numbers? Have you read comments on gaming articles? Neither of these things look good. The image is that Nintendo abandoned the gamer and every time a 3rd party developer says "The Wii U version of our game will not include X feature" people just laugh a little more at the joke that is Nintendo.

 

I want them to turn it around. I want the Wii U to be successful, but right now 3rd party devs aren't really doing anything to help. More and more people are canceling their Wii U game pre-orders in favor of other systems because 3rd party companies don't really treat Nintendo with any kind of respect. The gamers are following suit.

Buy it used from Game/GameStop (depending on if you're in EU or NA) in a few years... even then it's not guaranteed, as Mario Kart Wii is still overpriced for a used game. Like... by a lot. That's why I don't buy used games from them. I just get them on Ebay and I pay a lot less. A lot. Like, tons less. Hooray for Ebay!

Also, I get more money when selling my used games on Ebay. Even after Paypal and Ebay fees I still get several times the amount GameStop would have given me. Ebay, man. It's the way to go... But not for Super Luigi U. You will be be competing against others in an auction and with a game like that they'll be willing to pay close to $30. Maybe in a few years that'll change, but not right now.

I just pre-ordered a figure. Will it be Pikachu, like the have pictured? Because... I kind of want one of the others more. I can always cancel my pre-order if it will be Pikachu for sure.

I don't know if this has been brought up on other boards, or here, but I think the second form is no more than a female form. Almost all Pokemon have male and female forms (even though the differences aren't really all that noticable). It would make sense for this new form to be the female form of MewTwo... even though this new form is extremely different.

 

It kind of also makes sense it has a female voice in the movie trailer.

 

Or I'm wrong. Whatever. Guess we'll see soon enough.

What the heck are you even talking about? Seriously, I'm completely lost here. You weren't expecting realistic water were you? If so, you're completely missing the point Like, entirely missing it. Not just by a little, but if you were shooting an arrow at a target you'd be firing it in the opposite direction of said target.

I am ashamed to admit that even though I loved this game on the GameCube, I never completed it. Mostly due to that whole water traveling nonsense. That was just dumb, requiring you to sail across an ocean to grab things. I also don't care for flying in Skyward Sword. That was also dumb.

 

On the plus side, I actually completed Skyward Sword. Even though the flying was a major deterrent for me.
