It's the best Mario game in quite a while to me, but I don't know about it being the best since SMW! That'd be tough.
I enjoy it a lot though. The best of the NSMB series, at the very least.

Yeah, if nothing else it could stay on a while longer.I have seen it flash once or twice, VERY briefly, easy to miss. In its current state, its pretty much useless IMO. I would much prefer a simple popup like on PS3/Xbox 360 for when your friends come online.

This is something that has been a major annoyance to me. I STRONGLY prefer gamepad play for this game, but it's not possible in Multiplayer, which is absolutely silly. :/

None on the shelves anywhere around here, other than the basic model here and there. Like others have said, after Christmas the word will be out there more. Not only that but people will have Gamestop/Walmart/Target/etc gift cards to spend.

I was going to choose Mario Kart but opted for a Mario Golf reboot, because in my mind Mario Kart is its own thing entirely, I never think of it as part of the sports lineup. Mario Golf U with Wii Motion Plus + Gamepad on the floor as a view of the golf ball would be sweet.

I'm very surprised! I was a little worried about letting my dad's friend's kid play this thing, but now I see that I can ease my worries quite a bit.
