#45599 Wii U Price Discussion

Posted by Randomite on 06 December 2011 - 04:03 PM in Wii U Hardware

It depends on what they reveal it to have under the hood so to speak, if it is not powerful by much (in comparison to PS3 and Xbox 360) I would expect between £225 and £250...I feel they have to be competitive and lure 360 and PS3 fans away if the rumours are true and both Sony and Microsoft are looking towards the next generation.

It was a problem which SEGA had trouble with for the Dreamcast, while it was competitively priced, people opted to wait for the PS2,

I would like SEGA to make a Valkyria Chronicles game for the Wii U...It was very under appreciated on the PS3 and I personally don't feel a game this Epic should be left on the hand held (PSP) system.

#9463 Let's Talk IPs!

Posted by Randomite on 20 June 2011 - 02:59 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I haven't voted as I don't think any of the options fit what I'd want to be honest. Anyways what I'd really like to see is a proper Driving game for the Wii U, sure there is bound to be Need For Speed etc etc, but I find them to be more Arcade type racing in comparison to the likes of Gran Tourismo and Forza. I also have nothing against Mario Kart, but that is completely differant to what I would like to see.

Super Mario 2

If they release a Super Mario 2 ( The new series announced on the 3DS ), I hope it's merging the 3d with World this time. And with the cape, all levels designed flyable, secret platforms with secret keys to those secret keyholes and areas. It would be amazing. Just think about it, the "hub" can be like a small world with "teleport pads" becoming available, castles to look for the princess in, different ones, when you've done one castle, a new mini area becomes available (hub).

Right now, I'd wish I was in the devteam for Super Mario :P I have so many ideas.

The first 4 levels before the castle, you don't get the feather, but yoshi, but after completing the first castle (of many) At the first level, there's a feather, and if you manage to keep it through the whole level, you also have the cape in the hub, and you can go back to the levels in the first area and get to secret places. Imagine having all levels designed for flying, the hub is like a miniature world with teleport pads for entering the levels. Different castles to open up new parts of the hub. Secret areas in many of the levels, some only possible to get to with the cape (Or blue yoshi), flying upwards to a secret platform with the secret key and keyhole.

Oh and bringing back the spinjump to the A button.
I really want that!

Randomite, you simply want a driving simulator :P

Yes I do, it's kind of a niche market but driving simulators seem to be becomming more popular as the gaming industry progresses.

#58603 WiiU Renaming Suggestions (New Names)

Posted by Randomite on 30 January 2012 - 07:47 AM in Wii U Hardware

I'm in the minority and picked Wii 2, despite it's lack of originality I think this is the better name on the list. Wii as a name is a strong seller amongst the console market, th3e sales of the Wii prove it sold well...Adding the 2 shows the consumer it is the next console. I can't see Nintendo using a console name other than Wii [insert name here] mainly due to the sales the original Wii made in comparison to previous consoles such as Gamecube, N64 etc etc.

#45835 Top 10 Posters and Reputation Leaderboards (Currently Defunct, Do You Want it...

Posted by Randomite on 08 December 2011 - 10:55 AM in The Café

In my opinion it makes no difference who the top 10 poster is or who has more reputation, at the end of the day this is a discussion forum and as long as I am able to discuss Nintendo and other such gaming, the other things don't really matter.

#63037 Call of Duty

Posted by Randomite on 22 February 2012 - 09:30 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Yes, good Idea the killcam on the wiiu screen instead of the TV.

I want the same people devoloping the game as on 360 and PS3 versions.

Because on MW it was Treyarch on Wii and Infinity Ward on 360 and PS3.
So they were different.

TBF Infinity Ward are nowhere near as good as they once where and I do actually think if Treyarch ever got a chance to have a proper crack at a Modern Warfare game (not just a port but a full blown game) for all systems they would do a stellar job.

#9730 Dogs or cats?

Posted by Randomite on 20 June 2011 - 11:17 PM in The Café

I had to go with dogs, cats creep me out a little to be honest.

#9815 Dogs or cats?

Posted by Randomite on 21 June 2011 - 09:06 AM in The Café

Cats seem to be quiet creatures, and if I'm thinking what your thinking you've seen one staring at you at night.

Yes, but has anyone else noticed the very stereotypical alien shaped head a cat has? That amongst other things, like cats just staring at you for hours creeps me the hell out.

#60223 Not-clickable sliders, an issue?

Posted by Randomite on 07 February 2012 - 04:39 AM in Wii U Hardware

Errrrrm I have no problems if the controller has clickable sliders or not, a lot of the FPS are mapped to a default button setting and can be changed to suit a person...It may take some getting used to in some cases but before long it becomes natural after playing a game with time played.

This is why I always recommend playing the game in campaign/Single player before taking the fight online as this gives a chance for people to get used to the button placement beforehand..

#19463 What's the point of next gen consoles?

Posted by Randomite on 06 August 2011 - 02:36 PM in Wii U Hardware

Am I the only person who doesn't see what the big deal is about the iPhone and iPad? To me Apple are actually worse than Capcom and Activision for whoring out their products.

#40472 What games would you like to see make an HD remake or revived on the Wii U

Remakes Shenmue I and II which could leave to the final chapter in the series...One could only wish for such a thing :(

#41551 WiiU Trophy/Achievement system

Posted by Randomite on 10 November 2011 - 09:37 AM in Wii U Hardware

While I do think it is a great idea, I still feel the achievement system is flawed in terms of gaming companies abusing the achievement systems to get a bit more logevity out of their games by making players grind the hell out of a game for one meaningless achievement (Gears of War a prime example). If Nintendo can incorperate an achievement system where the achievements pertain to the actual game and make the experience all the more rewarding than stupid grinding for achievements then I am all for it.

Oh and keep Online achievements to a minimum...Saves people complaining should a game server get shut down in the future.

#40468 Can you imagine Mario with PS3 graphics?

Posted by Randomite on 01 November 2011 - 07:53 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I really don't know why people think that because the horse power is now there Mario will instantly be changed into some ultra realistic character for the system. Games like Braid, Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts and Ratchet and Clank have shown that there is still a market place for (for lack of a better word) cartooney style games such as Mario.

#46026 Wii U specs leaked?

Posted by Randomite on 09 December 2011 - 09:33 AM in Wii U Hardware

i so agree with you here. if nintendo had made this move with Wii it would have gotten more life with it. also sony would have had no shot at releasing ps move. nintendo would have sold over 100 million wii's already

I do happen to disagree, I think if Nintendo went down the power route (despite having the Wii mote) I feel they would of struggled. One of the big pluses for the Wii was it was affordable (in my opinion) and adding the likes of HDMI components and making the console run at 720p would of ramped the price up, thus making the Wii somewhat less appealing.

#58906 What should Nintendo name the Wii U usernames?

Posted by Randomite on 01 February 2012 - 01:05 AM in Wii U Hardware

Well they still need to call it something. Even just plain old "your username" would suffice.

Hence the Username Game Tag or something like that is perfectly fine comment in my post :P

#58605 What should Nintendo name the Wii U usernames?

Posted by Randomite on 30 January 2012 - 07:54 AM in Wii U Hardware

I really don't see the point in giving the username section some gimmicky name, Username, Game Tag or something like that is perfectly fine...Giving it some randome name for it would just give the Sony and Microsoft fanboys a chance to use the whole "Nintendo with another gimmick" argument, only this to me would be very gimmicky.

What I'd like is to see Nintendo giving us a good online experience rather than worrying about what to call the username section.

#9481 Ghost Recon Online free with Wii U?

Posted by Randomite on 20 June 2011 - 04:20 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I'd say they would charge for the game and have in game money to purchase the extra stuff...Thats what I think anyways, could be wrong.
