Define 'next gen'.. watch dogs?
That's 'next gen looking'.. There is not going to be a huge graphical leap next generaton.. games will become slowly better looking over the course of 6/7 years.

It just seems wayyy to powerfull. I know nintendo has never been about graphics but the specs are pretty much blowing the Wiiu's out of the water
Even if the specs are true, I don't think the system will sell that well becasuse it's going to be minimum $700 for somthing like that.

Again, my question to you is why should the Wii U be as powerful as the Xbox 1? It doesn't have to be, doesn't need to be.
Because I would have gladly forked out an extra $100 on a system that can produce more visually impressive games. It also would have made things much easier in the systems life 3/4 years down the track when we are trying to get 3rd party ports over.

Yeah the games look amazing now but what if they're already pushing it too it's limit? It's a scary thought that those awesome looking ps4 games are just launch games!

Wrong. The ps4 has 8 gigs of GDDR5 and the Wii U has 2gigs of DDR3
Only 1 GB is used for games WII U and 7 for PS4.

I'm expecting the wii u's OS to be streamlined in the future to allow more RAM for use. Remember, though, the PS3 had RAM in use for it's OS too.
I hope so.

Now that all three systems have been reviled it's really sad to see how the Wii U stacks up to the Ps4. The Ps4 ram and GPU pretty much BLOWS the Wii u's out of the water. We are seeing some nice looking games coming out now sure 'X by monilthsoft' but how long will that last? The Ps4 specs are rather amazing, I can see this console having a very long life with the 7GB of GDD5 ram and.. Wii U only has 1 of GDDR3
The Xbox one though I despise it, has a good build and is middle of the road between the Wii U and Ps4. I really think the Wii U will suffer in the later years.

I really wish the Wii U had at least 4 Gbs of dd3 ram. The GPU in the xbox alone is TWICE as powerful as the Wii U's.

Wii U doesn't have nearly as much power as the Ps4, don't kid yourself.
I can see the Wii U hardware getting maxed very quickly with 2gb ram and the "card" inside it, topple that with devlopers who don't know how to program it.
The ps4 will take awhile longer, in 3+ years some really beautiful games will come from that system and will really hit it's stride around the 4/5 year mark.

The difference in textures will be pretty small.
The only real factor of the Ps4 that beats the Wii U is RAM.
Other then that, the machines are not far apart.. at all.
