#185622 Need for Speed: Most Wanted U [Criterion 'definitive' version]

Anyone know if this uses PC textures that are set on normal or high? this makes the game go from looking great to awesome!

#185742 how was the wiiu suppost to attract core gamers again ?

Posted by Pjsprojects on 24 March 2013 - 02:07 AM in Wii U Hardware

Well it got me to buy one and i guess i'm a core gamer, although this time round i think i'm just going with WiiU and PC which i really didn't even think about a couple of months ago. This way i should get the best of both worlds should the WiiU end up with little 3rd party support. Also i can see the PC gaming platform has come a long way so don't see the need for PS4.

Apps would be nice but Iplayer and all the others work fine in browser. Must admit i didn't think about the stupid tv licence.

#186887 Pc graphics cards,which ones?

Posted by Pjsprojects on 27 March 2013 - 10:32 AM in General Gaming

Looked at the 650ti but its a bit over what i want to spend & lets put it this way i'm running an old Quadro FX1700 at the moment which although not doing to bad its not DX11 so...

Thanks on both counts guys.

#187052 Don't believe the trash. Walking Dead is a good game.

Posted by Pjsprojects on 27 March 2013 - 02:32 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Tried it again for half an hour, its not for me. Controls are horrid, guess its a case of each to there own.

#184956 My thoughts - Walking dead & Aliens

Posted by Pjsprojects on 27 March 2013 - 02:34 PM in General Gaming

Well i got both these on PC and in my opinion i would not waste your hard earned cash on Walking dead, its game play is poor with no real places to explore just a follow the route type game, controls are sloppy and the graphics look very out dated! in fact the only bit that's worth a mention is the sound which is very as per the tv show. So 4 out of 10

Aliens marines,i was expecting utter rubbish from the reviews but i seem to be enjoying it! Again no real exploring but it plays fine and seems to respond quickly, graphics while not top notch are tidy and as above the sound sets the scene REALLY well. So 7 out of 10

If Aliens does come out on WiiU at least hope for a demo to try.  :)

Update - Completed Aliens so not the longest story but they left it wide open for a sequel. Enjoyed the game even with the odd glitch.

#187568 WiiU sales last week in UK up 125%

Posted by Pjsprojects on 29 March 2013 - 04:34 AM in Wii U Hardware

Noticed a couple of people in the know talking about this on Twitter, this has got to be down to the tv adverts for Lego city which are on a lot. The game is now on the shelves at supermarkets and with the kids now on holiday its good timing.

Monster hunter will of played a big part as well so we need titles!!!!

Pretty simple Nintendo, advertise!

#187717 Lego City Undercover ?

Posted by Pjsprojects on 29 March 2013 - 11:01 AM in Wii U Games and Software

After our four year old lad nagged us to death for the last two weeks we went out to buy Lego city today as it got released here yesterday. Drove round many shops as every single one had sold out, the very last shop we went to had just got a fresh delivery so we got the ltd edition one for £39.99.

Enough to say our youngest is very happy and loves the game! trouble is our ten year old daughter wants to play and so do we lol.

The shame on me,i'm playing it on pc tbh but i bet the Wiiu version is pretty much a pc port instead of a PS360 downgrade.

Posted by Pjsprojects on 30 March 2013 - 08:52 AM in General Gaming

#188184 Age rate on games, anyone else struggle with them?

Posted by Pjsprojects on 30 March 2013 - 09:42 AM in General Gaming

Yeah all the above makes sense, i currently play the games and sort of self judge them, the one thing i hate is bad language in games, Half the problem is that they catch a glimps of a game i'm playing and then it gets talked about at school and other kids are playing it already grrr.

Personally I'm trying for a baby right now.

Nice one,good luck!
