Hey guys, so I was thinking about getting the wired headphones of this type, but I'm getting mixed reactions everywhere. Some people say they've gotten it to work and some people are saying it can't work. I read the entire conversation, but I was just wondering if anyone had any new information or got them to work and everything. I want to know if I should buy these headphones, or if I should buy other headphones for the Wii U (which I can't find any good ones online... Does anyone have a pair that they like?)

Hey Guys! So I'm posting in this, which clearly means that I'm new and am introducing myself to the sight. So yeah, I found this site because I was looking for headphones for the Wii U, typed some shnazz into Google, and BAM here I am. I've always been a big Nintendo fan, I love Zelda, Pokemon, Mario, Fire Emblem, and of course the Smash Bros. games. I got my Wii U on launch day, and also have a 3DS (although I'm hoping to get an XL soon

). I'm really happy I found this forum, and hope I can become a contributing member to anyone who needs help, a good online debate, or just senseless ranting for theoretical games and concepts!

I thought this was a great game to include with the system, it has a surprising amount of depth to most of the mini games. All the single player ones (especially Donkey Kong's Crash Course) are extremely addicting, and keep you coming back for more in order to improve on your high score. The game is a blast to play with friends for a while, with games like Mario Chase, Metroid Battle Quest, and Sweet Day being a favorite of mine and my friends. Admittedly we did get tired of them after an hour or two, but that very well might have been because there were only 3 of us, I haven't played the game with more than that yet.

Overall I would say I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. It has a surprising amount of depth in most of the mini games, and will definitely be a game that gets taken out every so often, with or without friends. I don't think I would buy the game separately from the Deluxe package though. There are better games to get for the $60 price tag. But as a packaged in game, it's great.

So I don't know about you guys, but during the Nintendo Direct today I was SO EXCITED. Especially when I saw this game, the new (probably) Xeno game from Monolith Studios

All I could think of is that Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate might have to be pushed aside..... I WANT THIS GAME

I have the Triton Kunai headset and it works fine. I use it with Black Ops 2

Do you know which headphones exactly? Cause there seem to be multiple kinds, and i wouldn't want to order the wrong ones or anything

How much were they and do you think they are worth the price with the sound quality and everything?

What? why? That doesnt make any sense. Monster hunter couldnt be any more different from xenoblade/x.

Really? The concept almost looks similar but maybe taking it a step further I guess with the futuristic stuff. I've never played either as well.

OK cool. Do you have any other problems with them? Like are they comfortable or do you need any special cables or anything? I just want a pair of headphones that will be comfortable during long gaming sessions and don't have problems with chat or sound

They feel good on my ears and don't hurt even after extended use. There's also volume control and an inline mute switch on the wire. Also the mic is detachable. However, in Black Ops in order to hear both game sound and chat sound simutaneously you have to press the display button on the gamepad screen and set it to display the image from the tv onto the gamepad. And no you dont need any extra wires however the wire is kinda short maybe about 3 feet. Since I play with the pro controller I keep the gamepad next to me.

So I am now at school, and realized that in order to get internet on my Wii U, I needed to make a wired connection! So I bought this... http://www.amazon.co...ils_o00_s00_i00
so I could connect my ethernet cable to the system. Now I don't know if it's just the wi-fi here at my school, but it's not working, and one thing the Nintendo support guy suggested was that maybe the Nyko cable won't work with it because it wasn't Nintendo brand. Apparently it works with the Wii though. Does anyone know of an adapter that works?

I spoke to the nintendo helpdesk about my faulthy wifi setup. Option was to go cabled, 3rd party was good they told me. I think its the schoolnetwerk. We have name+login security at our campus. WiiU doesnt support that, nor does appleTV.

Yea thats what we have here, but if you log in to the network with the Ethernet cable attached, then move the cable over to the console, it works. But for some reason, it's not working for my Wii U

I have seen rumors of the next Snash Bros. not adding anymore character slots. Does anybody know if this is true or just a rumor?

He said that he thought that the game had nearly reached the maximum number of characters it can have while being relatively balanced. So I mean he didn't say it directly, but we probably won't be seeing too many more characters

Xenoblade is 1st party nintendo, platinum is one of the third parties i am very obviously NOT referring to, as they used to be clover, they are japanese, which happen to coincidentally be the large majority of third parties that dont purposefully release crap on nintendo consoles, with the only western publisher i can even think of being ubisoft.

Sonic is garbage. Dont care about late 360 ports of games i could have already owned but am not interested in.

Yeah, you need to go on. You need to go on a whole freaking lot.

I mean you can't really judge a game unless you've played it. I made a mistake with Xenoblade, but after that I think it's just ignorance. I haven't liked any of the recent Sonic games, but Sonic Colors was a really good game in my opinion.

Saying 'Sonic is garbage' is ignorant. Saying 'Most recent Sonic is garbage' is much more accurate

And just because you aren't 'interested' in a game doesn't mean it sucks.

Also, there are games like Little King's Story, No More Heroes, Resident Evil 4, Monster Hunter Tri, Masurama Demon Blade, Tatsunoko vs Capcom...

I'm not saying that Nintendo has the most third party titles, nor am I saying that it has the best. I'm just saying that it has 3rd party titles, and it has some really good ones too. Saying all third party games suck on Nintendo devices is just plain wrong.

I don't like how they keep going with the Pokemon Rumble series. I hate the look of the Pokemon, and I don't like the way it works how each one has one attack and doesn't get better over time. I feel like that completely destroys the point of the Pokemon franchise.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the Pokemon brawling system, i like that, I just wish everything else about the game didn't suck.

Besides, I'd much rather see a new Pokemon Snap game... maybe that made me judge this game more harshly when I first saw the article "New Pokemon Wii U Game" and nearly peed myself with excitement

This has been brought up with interviews with Gamefreak so many times. It's not cause they're lazy or anything.

Satoshi Tajiri, the creator of Pokemon, originally created Pokemon - Pocket Monsters - so that people could carry them around with them and trade with other people. He said he didn't want a main series on any home console due to that fact, as it would 'take away part of the original purposes for Pokemon'
I get that, but I don't get why they couldn't make the big MMO, or a side story using a similar RPG format, cause those games WOULD be awesome and WOULD be system sellers.

But even if this is true, i doubt it would be revealed in tomorrows' Nintendo Direct. Too soon in my opinion

I played the gamecube version of this game, and it was my favorite NFS title, if not one of my top titles of all time. I was planning on getting it before, but now I'm even more pumped!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!! The game looks beautiful!

Now I just need to find out how to get my Wii U connected to the internet at my school.... -_-
