Oh my God. I know that feeling. I got my sweet new Gamecube and all the friends I used to play N64 with decided to get a PS2 instead. Betrayal. I also eventually got a PS2 but still. I'm hoping the Wii U really catches on

I too want the WiiU to catch on but not in the how the ps2 and xbox360 did.

That's a shame, my play n trade is great! They have way better trade prices, cheaper used games, tv's up with every console, and you can try any game on them. Plus, I'm only 16, and gamestop doesn't allow me to trade in games, or buy M games. Play N Trade does.

I was able to trade in to my gamestop at 13 and buy M rated games without showing my id.

Hey if i break it thats my problem.I've open every system i bought and thought i broke my 360 completely when i got the RROD but i fix it by cleaning up the motherboard and reballing the GPU.

I remember this crap with the PS2.Everybody wanted to get together to play on it and shun'd my gamecube (i have the ps2 too but i play'd the gamecube more) saying ''the ps2 is the shiz and gamecube is tiny,weak and can't ever keep up with the ps2 no matter what they put on it''.I just play'd my cube and stop'd worrying about them and when the 360 came they all jumped ship saying even when the ps3 and wii come out they will still be weaker then the 360 so it's just a big face palm.And again i just play my wii and ps3,
stop trying to care about their idiot cries of this is more powerful then that.The point i'm getting at is i hope this doesn't happen with the WiiU but most likely it will because it will launch first.

Keep the vents free. They are designed to move air.

I use mbps all the time for my projects when traveling because of the power and reliability. They manage heat very well.

And of course they get hot as all notebooks do. That's nature. Yet the Mbps soldier on, working like a champ even when the heat is on.

And you'd never notice if it was on a desk or entertainment center- where the wii u will reside-to get back to the point of comparison.

The wii u will generate massive heat as well. But it won't fry itsf like the 360.

I'm going to open up my WiiU just to see whats inside of it.I don't feel like looking at a video of someone else doing that so don't even say it.It's going to be a fun day

So I just found out the Mars Curiosity runs on a powerpc rad750 chip, I know not really wii u news but the wii u also runs a powerpc and nasa said they chose it because the powerpc chip is the only space worthy chip ie radiation wont fry it and powerpc has a 15yr blue screen of death rate, also the new James Webb Space Telescope, is also going to run powerpc, just thought that was really neat and worth sharing.

Thats awesome and all but i thought the WiiU would use a POWER7.Not a PowerPc but A POWER7 and yes they are two totally different chps.

All 3 of my gamestops have this up so i'm happy.

I wonder if Nintendo will have a vertical stand for the Wii U

the gamecube board is a thing of complete wonder its gorgous iv actually considered taking a gamecube apart and having the inners framed put it on the wall that console was designed by GOD

theres a company name on the wiiu its NINTENDO i think thats quality assurance enough consdidering i can go to any car boot sale and buy ether nes and snes or n64 in 100% working order LOL @ THIS nintendos build qaulity has won awards and is miles ahead of any other console maker in human history

I have a 720p tv in my room rite now but will upgrade to a 1080p tv before the WiiU comes out and even though the living room has 63 inch tv i'd still prefer my room.Nothing beats gaming while laying down in bed.

I would pay $299.99 max but i could save more and shell out $349.99 if it came with a big hard dive.

It wont come with one but you could buy an external hdd for $50 and use that.
As for me $300/350 is my max for the system.Got to have a least $200 for some games and another controller.

Ya you are actually right but I was in fact talking about the architecture (sorry, it wasnt clear). XBox 360's architecture was better than PS3 so games were originally developed for the XBox 360 then ported to the other consoles.

Not many people own a 3d tv so it's just a passing thought to me but for that 3% in the world that does own one good for them.

The 360 and ps3 over heated faster because sony and microsoft used lead free solder for the gpu and cpu chips.Without lead in the solder for these chips they were prone to over heat more quickly.I'm guessing nintendo used solder that had lead in it which is why the failure rate was so much lower.I don't think (well i hope) that sony any microsoft will make that horrible mistake again.
