It's hilarious looking at the old posts on this thread of people going back and forth about the price, and calling it the "Wii 2".
There is one of my friend who keep saying "Wii 2" instead of "Wii U". Whenever I told him that it's Wii U not Wii 2, he said it's the same anyway.
As for the price, I think it's pretty cheap ($299 & $349 in NA and $348 & $428 in Australia).

I have never go to any midnight launch (I normally preordered the game/console and got it the next day or at launch day). But because I am working till late night, I do have some advice for you.
It's much safer to go to midnight launch if
1. You or someone drive (Even if the place is pretty close, unless the game store is only next to your house xD).
2. Bring friends with you.
If you're underage then it would probably better if you get it the next day. It's not worth the risk going out at night even if you're not underage.

I think I have said that I cannot see myself playing Nintendoland for more than 5 hours before. But after the EB Games Expo 2012 last week, I changed my mind completely and really interested in this game even more than ZombiU. I also tried ZombiU at the expo and it didn't impress me (Maybe my expectation for the game is just too high), but hopefully it was just an old demo.

I never listen to review.
I only watch their review to find gameplay and facts about the game, not their opinion because I am not the reviewer and the reviewer isn't me. We are a totally different person, so just because he gave the game 10/10, doesn't mean that I will like the game or vice versa.

Yeah, but I was talking about in stores, I'm not paying like upwards of $100 to try a few Wii U games.
It was $40 for the general admission ticket not $100. And you were not only able to try Wii U but also many other games unless you are not interested in other things except Wii U then it's a different story. But then $40 to try Wii U only is still worth it imho.
Not only I was able to try many games and also Wii U, but I also met Charles Martinet.

I have seen fanboy claiming they are not a fanboy of certain company because they have all consoles. My friend for instance got a PS3 for the exclusives but he is still Xbox 360 fanboy to the core.
People not buying the game will make the WiiU look bad, the industry will say that game don't sell well on the WiiU, but I for one am not paying for rubbish, I think I'm going to cancel all my pre-ordered WiiU games what with the issues with Aliens & last week with Rayman, really starting to regret buying a WiiU now
Most people who follows the gaming news will know what's wrong with the game and it is not because of the Wii U. Gearbox must be insane if they expect this game to sell well on Wii U, PS3, 360 and PC. The only parties that will look bad will be Gearbox, TimeGate and SEGA (even though SEGA is the victim here, they are still the publisher).
However, fanboy of other companies will use this opportunity to make Wii U looks really bad in public.

Back on topic. SEGA, Gearbox and 20th Century FOX came to an agreement to produce Aliens game approx 6 years ago.

According to the article, the campaign in Aliens Colonial Marines was given to 3rd company called TimeGate. TimeGate would be developing majority of the campaign while Gearbox would take the Multiplayer and the DLCs by Demiurge and Nerve.
Gearbox was so busy on Borderlands 2 and realized that there was no way for them to develop and ship two titles at the same time. To make it worse, the campaign, which was being developed by TimeGate was extremely far behind while the deadline got closer and closer. When the game was supposed to hit "beta", Gearbox asked SEGA to push the release back one more time.
Once Borderlands 2 finished, Gearbox turned their attention to Aliens CM and it was apparent that the game was not ready to ship and in a pretty terrible state. Gearbox was pretty unhappy with TimeGate's work but they couldn't ask for more time from SEGA since they delayed this game several times already (Due to the fact that they were working on Borderlands 1, Borderlands 2, Duke, etc).
The article then went on saying that SEGA was pretty close to taking legal action against Gearbox so asking for an extension wasn't an option. It's either get it done or get f**ked by SEGA.

I have yet to preorder any games and the Wii U Console as I am still waiting for a better deal (I don't think it will be sold out in Australia in the next few weeks).
But I am interested to get:
1. Zombie U
2. NSMB U
3. Assasin's Creed 3 (I was going to choose between the PS3/360 version, but I guess I will get it on Wii U instead)
4. Ninja Gaiden 3 (Damn, can't wait to play as Ayane >_>)
5. Lego City - Undercover (Looks pretty funny, not sure if this is launch title or not)
6. Bayonetta 2
7. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
8. Black Ops II (I am not a fan of call of duty and battlefield, though I do play FPS games but I will give it a try)
But I am interested to get:

There are lots of people complaining about Wii U's price and said why people should buy PS Vita instead because it's cheaper and better deal than Wii U xD
I personally surprised that the premium pack is only $428 in Australia, I thought it would be at least $450-550 lol...
By the way, I am getting the premium pack at launch day ^^

It doesn't really matter to me but then I have too many consoles/handheld in black except for Wii, which is white so I might go for white this time.
