FINALLY!!!!
MARIO AND LUIGI KUNG-FUING THE $&%@ OUT OF BOWSER AND LINK AND ZELDA BEATING THE $&%@ OUT OF GANONDORF.
I hope this real.
Well, no reason for it to be a rumour or whatever, its officially announced exclusive content.
Never really been interested in Tekken and still wont buy it, but the fact a third party is bringing content like this to a game just shows how much more devoted they are to the console.

SO I CANT GET AN EXTRA GAMEPAD???
WHAT HAPPENS IF I BREAK IT???
WAY TO SCREW PEOPLE OVER NINTENDO!!!!!
Chill?
He says they won't have them available at system launch to allow for more full console production. Pretty likely you will be able to return a broken one for a new one, though it would be impressive if you manage to break yours during the first weeks/months tbh.

Not sure if the 3 lines means its 3 games, maybe its just a list of games, or did I miss some sort of confirmation of this?

10% discount on digital sales for a year alone would be worth it.
Never actually bought a console on launch before though, and won't now, will wait for either a price drop or another game bundle.

Smart from Nintendo to back off with real heavy hitters at launch to give 3rd parties a shot at selling their stuff.

Why would you pre-order games in the first place if you don't like em?
Looks like you didn't even check what the launch games were, or check out the games before forming an opinion about them.
Also, imho, this is one of the best launch line ups I've seen. Not all the games appeal directly to me but there is something for everyone to try and quite a few highly rated or anticipated games.
As other people have said before (like Crackkat above me as I was typing this). Third parties been struggling selling games on Nintendo consoles because of releases from games like Mario and Zelda. Leaving out the big guns and having Pikmin only available at the end of the launch window this allows 3rd parties to showcase their games.

Either Watch Dogs or GTA V.
No doubt between these 2 titles (imo).
Considering this is from a French source, Nintendo has been saying they wanted to focus on games released in the launch window (silencing announcements outside of this window), Ubisoft has been showing a tremendous amount of support and trust in the system, Watch Dogs being called one of the first next-gen games, I'm going to put my 2 cents on that.
In any case I'd be very surprised if Watch Dogs didn't come to Wii U. Ubisoft said Wii U was a true next gen system and they are calling Watch Dogs a next gen game, in my eyes they indirectly confirmed it already.
As for GTA V, right now, I believe Rockstar is patiently awaiting how the Wii U is received. They probably have tons of ideas for the Wii U Gamepad but are hesitant to fully dedicate to the system.

But 9.1 is a very high score for a game he says just manages to look better than the game on the previous generation, and the same music.
I'd give it a 7.
He actually says:
"This isn't a bad looking game by any means,..., the problem is that Mario U does just enough to reach an HD threshold, and then it stops. There's no mistaking this is a step up from the New Mario Series and it's a fair deal better looking that that last entry on the Wii"
The only other issues he has with the game is very minor multiplayer issues, though the way he speaks about it, I think multiple sessions with the same people could eventually become extremely fun, it just has a steeper learning curve than the rest of the game. He praises everything else.
All of these complaints are very minor issues in a game of this genre. Dropping 3 points for visuals and audio sounds harsh and leaves little value left for presentation, gameplay, longevity and story (lol).
If the game had been released with the same graphics as Super Mario World, it could still get a 9.1 in my opinion.
Also, you'd give it a 7 based on what he says about the game or what you have seen about it? I'm assuming you've not played the full game to completion yet.

Zelda, it will be almost 2 years since the release of the last console Zelda so at least an announcement of the new one with a teaser is expected. Massive open world, revisiting Skyward Sword style, but not as excessive, multiple modes of transport for land air and water.
3D Mario, by then 3 years since the last 3D Mario title so also announcement to be expected. Personally would like to see a futuristic Mario, or time travelling to see what the Mushroom kingdom looked like so many hundreds of years ago.
Pokemon, same mmo style as Guild Wars 2, pokemon roaming around.
Starfox, the secret project Retro Studio's has been working on for the past year. Not sure what direction this game will take. On the one hand I'd love another game like the SNES and N64 version, but we all know Retro studios is capable of so much more.
Super Monkey Ball U, not a game I've been particularly fond of, but the Gamepad looks like an obvious fit for the game, possibly breathing new life into the monkey's.
Pilot Wings U, no real reason why this game but I'd just like to see it.
Nintendo Land updates, I think most, if not all, future Nintendo franchise games will come with a new Nintendo Land attraction packed in. These games will also be available for separate purchase as digital downloads for an acceptable price, for those who do not wish to buy the new game but would like to expand their Nintendo Land attractions.
Miyamoto's new IP, we know he's working on one, E3 would be the place to announce something like this. Guessing it will be an fprpg with a much darker feel to it than we are used to from him.
Mario Kart, for me, mario kart will need to add a lot of features for me in order to warrant a purchase. The simple gameplay ive loved for so long doesn't cut it for me any more. Either add more features or combine multiple Mario Sports games into one pack. (I'd prefer option A)
By the time E3 rolls around I also think Wii U will have established itself as a next gen console in everyone's eyes and all major cross platform games will be ported from Wii U to others, not the other way around.
I'm just going to stop typing now...

I'm the number one mario 2d fan.
They're not getting any better since the Wii version.
Therefore, with new hardware and 3 years, I'd lower the score.
I'm basing my score on what he said.
Subtracting what he says against his actual score.
I think he's a chicken. NSMBU has been getting 70's and 80's.
After we all saw NSMB2 we got alarm bells in our heads which said: Don't let them get lazy, push them to actually try.
fair enough,
I've not actually played any 2d mario's since Super Mario World I think or even followed any of them. Its the first 2D mario i've been interested in for a long time, so all the changes made appear a lot bigger to me than they might be.

I wonder what the Nintendo bosses are thinking watching this stream ?
Sony has done an amazing job presenting its console but I doubt Wii U is in any serious trouble still, I'm holding out my thoughts until I see what Retro Studio's and Nintendo themselves have for us at E3.
Really interested in the share button and this "everything instant" thing, I wonder whether they can deliver their promises.

What about what the other third party dev/pub are going to show off for the WiiU though, will there be anything or will it all be pushed over to the PS4 with more physics & better graphics, Watchdogs is coming to the WiiU from what is being said but the PS4 version will be better, i think that is a given.
Really feeling after watching this reveal & all the support that i have brought the wrong console
You still get all the nintendo exclusives, you can't buy a "wrong" console when you buy a console for nintendo games
The latest criterion interview gave me lots of hope for the future of Wii U games, I don't think the graphical difference will be that massive, they did give us the Zelda HD demo almost 2 years ago now.
There's work to be done, right now it just sort of looks like Wii U was released too soon, they could've waited another year to perfect its imperfections.

Then there's the controller still, how will games use that touchpad thingy and built in move functions..

I agree this could be apart of a plan by Nintendo. They could be waiting for both companies to show off their consoles and then just put thiem to utter shame with a true graphics demonstration.
That would be so awesome ^^.
While I'm not expecting that, I do expect great things still.
What we've seen from sony now are all games built from the ground up for the system on hardware they are very familiar with and engines designed for it, everyone of them shown to impress graphically.
What we've seen from Nintendo are either ports not optimized for the different architecture of the Wii U or games that have put their focus fully on gameplay mechanics, figuring out how to use the gamepad, almost 2 years ago though we also got the bird demo and the Zelda HD demo, the latter of which was only made a few weeks prior to E3 if I remember correctly. Retro Studios' new game and or new IP built with a new engine for the Wii U will be the start of amazing quality games on the console.
Also, look back at all the conferences from both sides, compare what they show us in tech demo's and then eventually what we get with the console...

These consoles also sold more than wiiu to people who likely know they will soon be replaced by a newer model.
I think you overestimate the knowledge of people who purchase consoles. Most of the people who will one day buy PS4 had absolutely no idea its just been announced, the gaming community that comes to forums and gaming news websites is a lot smaller compared to those who don't. Don't know how many watched the sony event, but on IGN it was about 75k, lets be nice and say a total of 1 million people watched it, ps3 sold over 75mil consoles. Most people don't know or care when a new console is being released.
