Got the deluxe, it's only $50 more and Nintendo Land cost $60 alone; not to mention the extra memory.

Make two separate series of commercials: one for the family/casual crowd & one for the hardcore/dudebro crowd. The casual ones will showcase off-screen play and general fun, while the hardcore ones show people that Nintendo isn't the kid's company they were back in the N64 days (speaking of the N64, I wonder if we'll get those on Virtual Console
?).

I bought Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (MH3U [see what I/they did there]), my console refuses to read the disc and claims it's dirty (despite being brand new and clean as a whistle); I got the game exchanged and the problem persists. But everything else works just fine (I have an old copy of Brawl that's been Skip Dr.'ed to Hades and it works just fine). So I can't say that it's either the disc's fault because it only happens to MH3U, or the console as there is nothing wrong with the game as far as I can tell. And I really don't want to have wasted $60!
TL;DR Got new clean game, says it's dirty & won't read, will only not read said game.

Graphically, the Wii U will be worse, but not by a very big margin (it'll be noticeable, but the U won't be much worse). The PS4 has more RAM, but with all the cloud gaming, background updates, streaming, and more it won't be able to even put half of it in pure gaming.

Although I've never been a fan of FPSes (sans TF2, love that game), maybe a CoD/Battlefield-style exclusive would help reel in some of the "hardcore" crowd, not to mention show off the Wii U's 1090p. Y'know, give XBox fanboys something to envy, something to admire.

Also they took away my childs safety!
Allowing 18 year olds to buy games at any hours?!
What is this, Russia?!
Like I can be bothered to use the parental controls to restrict access to my children myself, that should be the shops job!
Sorry, but you're either a troll or lazy! I don't use the parental controls myself, but I seriously doubt that it can take longer than 10 minutes to fully set up barriers.

I'm pretty sure they'll go and pull out all the stops thanks to (currently) poor sales. But if they do manage to ____ up I'll probably get a decent gaming PC.

Please please PLEASE have a GameCube VC Nintendo. You don't really how many people would jump for joy if you did something like that. On ther other hand though, can't wait to download and play Super Mario World again. haven't played that game in ages.
I'm still trying to figure out how they'd deal with the Gamecube's analog shoulder buttons (sans Z); perhaps a new Pro Controller?

*sigh* This is just embarrassing! We need something like the "Get N or get out!" ads they used to have. Maybe some thing like "Will U be the one ___?" think about it with me, "Will U be the one who'll save Hyrule?", "Will U stop the terrorists?", the possibilities are endless! I'm sorry if someone thought of this before me.

The Wii U at its current price takes only two games to make a profit. If the 720 and PlayStation 4 are going to cost a reasonable amount (less than five-hundred dollars), they'll take at least four full retail games just to break even! So I'm saying that even if the Wii U sells less (about a 3:4 ratio) to the others it won't be the end of the world! ![]()

it wouldv done well if it had online multiplayer some how. it would be hard bc of the fact that you hade to you wii remotes to play multiplayer and everyone would be on their gamepad lol. still they should make all their party games online...especially mario party
it also would be a lot better if you could play the multiplayer by yourself against bots.
Yeah, not all of us want to shill out for Wiimotes and/or the Motion+ adapters!

I wonder what they'll do about putting handheld games (and the smaller resolution that goes with it) on the big screen? I'm going to assume for now they'll have some sort of border (like a 16:9 version of the Game Boy Player's), but I cannot be truly sure. And speaking of Game Boy Player, what about games like M&L Superstar Saga that had rumble features on the add-on? Thoughts, comments, and speculations outright encouraged!

Goodtwin, on 08 May 2013 - 12:02 PM, said:You cant go from an "unprecedented partnership" to practically no support, and not have some salty feelings with one another. EA is revel in the beautiful sunshineed at Nintendo for not taking Origin, and with lackluster sales of their launch Wii U games, they now have thier excuse to eliminate support. Not releasing games on the Wii U that you are releasing on the 360 and PS3 means that the power of the Wii U is not a factor. They can make all the back handed comments they want, but if their game can run the 360 and PS3, it can run on the Wii U.
EA probably does think that they can sink the Wii U, and would most likely take a lot of satisfaction in the Wii U fading away now that they arent support the console. Will it happen? I doubt it, the lack of support from EA would be devastating for the Xbox or Playstation, because their titles are very popular on those platforms. EA titles just dont make up a huge chunk of software sales on Nintendo platforms like they do on the competitions platform. Nintendo and EA both have big ego's, and they both feel they are more important than the other. The fact is they would both be better off doing business together, but the relationship has been soured, and I doubt its going to be mended any time soon.
From what I heard, EA wants royalties on every single game sold off the U's eShop (they may've helped set it up). Sega makes a game? EA gets paid. Indie developer makes a game? EA gets paid. I can safety say that Nintendo wouldn't want to deal with them after that

I think they just straight-out yanked the 3DS models and called it a day; I've seen better looking Dreamcast games.

Sums up every time I tried to explain to my friends that the Wii U is better than the PS360 (compared to the PlayStation 4 and NeXtbox it'll be a Dreamcast\Xbox 180 scenarioat at worst [obviously significantly less powerful, but you can't deny it's a step up]).

EA's refusal to support Nintendo reminds me of a toddler smashing its toys (killing off games ready for realese) because its parents won't take it to Disneyland (Nintendo turning down Origin). A move putting them neck-and-neck with the DPRK in terms of self-destructive, moronic bitterness.

The Gamecube & Nintendo 64 were more powerful than what Sony put out and didn't do too well; Wii was much weaker than the Playstation 3 and sold like... something that sells extremely well. Nintendo sees that their more powerful hardware doesn't sell as well as their cheap ones.
