#311514 So this Splat Toon thing...

Posted by Chrop on 05 April 2015 - 05:07 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Ever since the introduction of "Splat zone", I've been more into it now than ever. Turf war is... ok, you shoot the paint on the floor till it's filled, but now we have a game mode which requires teamwork, tactic and strategy and I believe I'll be having a ton more fun in it than I would with just turf war. As well as the mobility shown, how fast paced it can be, I'm pretty confident it'll be a really fun game.

But I can see what you mean, it can just be seen as a game where you just shoot things and people with paint. But I'm pretty hype for it, pre-orderd it already and now... we play the waiting game.

#311414 Retro Studios - New Game Engine? New IP Or Metroid? Wii U

Posted by Chrop on 02 April 2015 - 04:53 PM in Wii U Games and Software

"but it's a Wii U game with a new engine. New IP or Metroid?"

Literrally anyone else could have guessed this from their mums basement. It's not really news...

#311314 Wii U - Shin Megami Tensei & Fire Emblem Crossover Project Gameplay Trailer

Posted by Chrop on 01 April 2015 - 03:50 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Peoples reactions to it are

"OMG This has nothing to do with SMT OR FE WTF WERE THEY THINKING!! Such weeb ****"

"This is so much better than I thought it would be"

In my opinion... it's an entirely new game, not SMT or FE, just a new wii u game.

#311159 Nintendo Direct - April 1st - NO JOKE 6pm EST / Treehouse Live Afterwards

Posted by Chrop on 30 March 2015 - 02:43 PM in Wii U Games and Software

A Nintendo Direct two days away without any sort of prior announcement, teasing, anything...and it just happens to take place on April 1st?

seh6p.gif

They always announce a Nintendo Direct 1 day before it's aired. So them not announcing it 2 days away is pretty expected.

Although it's most likely fake anyway. BUT we should be expecting a direct in April at least

#311055 My pitch for the NX - commercial

Posted by Chrop on 27 March 2015 - 08:56 AM in General Gaming

We have pretty much NO idea what this console is, besides that it's got something to do with mobile and it's going to work alongside the Wii u and 3DS, everything else is a mystery.

#311024 Rumored UK Date of May 15, 2015 for Splatoon

Posted by Chrop on 26 March 2015 - 04:41 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I don't care about the release date, but dat £ is so cheap :o!

Also "Please note that release dates are subject to change." They probably chose the 15th since it's the middle of the month.

#310780 Mario 2D of today for the youth

Posted by Chrop on 19 March 2015 - 10:02 AM in General Gaming

Nostalgia, it's a strong feeling of remembering your past and the enjoyments about it, you tend to forget the bad parts when it comes to nostalgia, thus no matter what age, the nes version will always be better, but then the kids of today grow up and play the Nes game, they'll just think it's pretty bland. Then go back to NSMB because for them, it brings them nostalgia.

#310086 PS4 VR headset gets improved specs with 2016 release

Posted by Chrop on 05 March 2015 - 08:13 AM in General Gaming

"some" game dev? wtf? He's not talking like someone developing games, he's talking like a random internet guy like me and you. What proof do we have that this "dev" is indeed who he says he is? Hell, you could have written all of that!

on topic: With the amount the ps4 has sold world wide, if they're smart, the morpheus has the potential to do well. either way, vr tech is improving and i'm excited to finally be able to go into games!

Games aren't even running at 60 FPS 1080p on the ps4, now how in the world do you expect them to make 1080p 120 fps RENDER TWICE?
Honestly there's nothing that this guy has said that's wrong,

#309826 Sakurai comments on the quality of Steam

Posted by Chrop on 28 February 2015 - 05:36 AM in General Gaming

Incidentally, what are you grabbing these quotes from?

It was some indie developer who was crying because he wasn't making money.

Congrats, you're part of the problem. Maybe you should have considered buying the individual games you wanted instead of screwing over the developers by forcing them to share your money with 7 other developer teams. You'd save money, have a cleaner steam library and support the developers of the games you like all at once.

"Maybe you should have considered buying the individual games you wanted" "You'd save money" So I'd save money by buying a £10 game by itself instead of spending £8 for 8 games? Makes sense.

Sure I'd be supporting the developer more by buying the individual game, but he put it on humble bundle, that was his choice, and I'm in the wrong for giving money to charity and getting his game out of it when he clearly chose to put his game on there for people to buy? I'm not forcing him to do anything. and it only makes sense as a customer to buy at the cheapest price.

Also the games that I haven't played I was never going to buy in the first place, so the developers of those games got 50p while they wouldn't have gotten a penny if it wasn't on the humble bundle.

#309770 Sakurai comments on the quality of Steam

You're the ignorant one.

http://www.engadget....16/steam-sales/

More than one third of Steam games are never played. Steam's entire business model is built around making you buy for pennies games you didn't actually want.

Gifts, Bundles, Humble Bundles, Mods that come with the games, free games etc are a huge part of that, look at the sonic bundle for example, £30 for a sonic game or £50 for 25 of them (not exact, but pretty close). People don't literally go "ooh look, a game for 80% off, I'll buy that and i'll probably play it later" (There are people like this, but not as many as the link suggests). I'm looking at my steam list now, about 30/71 I've actually played.

about 25 of them itself is from a humble bundle where I only wanted 1 game from the 8 they gave me. 5 I honestly don't have a clue how it got in my steam libary (seriously I've never heard of some of them, and I don't randomly buy games on the steam page). 4 from gifts given from friends who got free codes and a few I have yet to play because I don't have a controller for it.

so that's about 60% of games on my steam list I haven't touched, not because I buy it and never play it, because it just builds up from getting other stuff that I did want and it ends up coming with it for free.

Yeah but pretty much everyone who buys all these games on sale never play them so they are wasting money.

So mean, so ignorant.
Ooh, and everyone who buys Nintendo games are just kids anyway. Wasting time.

#309188 Motion controls won’t be a requirement for Star Fox Wii U

Posted by Chrop on 18 February 2015 - 09:53 AM in Wii U Games and Software

This was the only thing I was worrying about , I'm happy now, can't wait to see a trailer for it. Motion controls should only be used in party games or little minigames, no so much for the actual gameplay of a game. (Well... I say that, but I liked skyward swords motion control)

#307947 No hdmi cord will work with my wii u

Posted by Chrop on 31 January 2015 - 02:11 PM in Wii U Hardware Help

Try plugging in both the component and HDMI cables perhaps?

Also try looking in the HDMI port, making sure there isn't any dust/debris stuck (give it a good ol' blow like in the N64 days x3 )

I don't even own any components :(

And I'll try blowing it, I don't really have any better ideas

#307941 No hdmi cord will work with my wii u

Posted by Chrop on 31 January 2015 - 10:01 AM in Wii U Hardware Help

I'm having the same problem now, working yesterday just fine, woke up this morning and it wouldn't work, put it to Standard Definition to try and reset it as such, and now it won't go back to HDMI at all, tried on another TV, same problem, tried other HDMI cables, same problem.

Tried to change the Tv Connection Type to "HDMI" and it says "Unable to apply settings. Check that your TV is on, ad that the TV and console are properly connected."

yay...

#307937 Some pretty big layoffs at Sega as they focus on smartphone, PC

Posted by Chrop on 31 January 2015 - 06:21 AM in General Gaming

Atlus I hope stays who they are as I feel while owned by SEGA Atlus sorta functions independent of them so I hope they can still do stuff for handhelds and consoles.

Don't worry about Atlus, Sega said they're just going to leave them alone and let them do what they do best
