I love the mega battle. It's like a giant tank minigame.

I challenge you to take up a game that you started over five years ago but only got partly through and FINISH IT
I had gotten Twilight Princess eight or so years ago, and played it like mad up until the stupid carriage escort. Now I'm in the Sky!

Well I'll have to see if they make it a $30 game or a $70 game. $30 I still won't care, but admittedly $70 (thanks to the falling Canadian dollar) would prefer more polish.
Still, it is a 10 year old game. It's not like the PC world where people will spend countless unpaid hours patching Skyrim so it's super high def.

OK to be honest I think you're being a little picky. It still looks pretty great, and any "low polygon" parts seem to suite the art style well. I don't understand why people want things to be hyperrealistic, is it to cater to some sort of "god complex" where you have to convince yourself that the characters on screen are real people who's lives are in your hands?
It is a game. There are better ones, and there are worse ones. But TP stands up to time pretty well, much better than games who were all the rage for their time and are now complete and utter rainbow. Whatever happened to letting your imagination fill in the missing details, or simply skipping the details that don't matter? Will having rounded edges on the walls and such really affect the gameplay that much?

I really hope they find a way to make it as real as possible, Like you're looking at a stop-motion papercraft diorama.
...This may actually be a game that benefits from a lower framerate.

Do what I did last year and build a pc. You don't pay to play online, can choose the hardware/game settings YOU want, access to steam which means huge savings on games, mods/user generated content, AND you get a very nice desktop.
PC + Wii U = I never need to buy a PS4 or Xbox One.
That's what I was going to suggest... Until I saw he wanted to play Arkham Knight, with that and Battlefront being the only two games he's interested in.

These are games that you wish Nintendo will launch. Considering how previous threads went I will not ask you to be realistic.
My ideas:
Captain Toad: Treasure Maker. Like Mario Maker, it allows you to create and share your own threads.
Mario 3D Maker. Same idea, but might be a lot more complex to make.
Super Mario Theatre. For Wii U. A lot like a dream cross between Galaxy and SM3DW, but the bottom screen always shows a band/orchestra of toads, koopas, etc that actually play the song (and with as accurate movement as possible). These players would be very animated, keeping the same emotion as the music. Additionally, you can manipulate the band/orchestra to alter the world (such as tapping on the secret item special effect player would wake him up and him playing would reveal the special item.
Paper Mario: Pop-up Star. This would try to make Paper Mario as photorealistic as possible, as if you're watching a high-speed stop-motion production of TTYD. No low quality psudocardboard like LittleBigPlanet though; The Mushroom Kingdom deserves high gloss cardstock. Maybe the occasional paper joke but please don't go overboard ("You can't defeat me... I'm laminated!")

poor fools. They imitate and copy Nintendo wherever they can, but they always seem to just miss the point.

Good for you.
It is NOW out for North America. Anyone enjoying it?

It may say 10/16 but Nintendo games are always out a day early over here.

Wii U Hardware
I'm scratching my head on this.
When I got home from holidays I fired up my Wii U to download SMG, but it refused to connect to the internet.
Rebooting the Wii U and router multiple times did not help.
The Wii U can see all wifi networks and recognizes the encryption used, but attempting to connect to mine, my phone, and any other gets the error of "no WIfi networks found." despite being able to see all networks in the vicinity just two screens ago. I verified that I'm typing the correct password
Eventually I got it working, but only for twenty minutes after which it refused to connect again.
I reset my router to factory defaults and set up a completely different network, which made no difference.
I suspect my wifi card is gone. I'm away for a little longer but I left my Wii U unplugged and ordered a USB ethernet adapter.
Is there anything else I can do? I don't want to call Nintendo as I have a massive library on my hard drive and upgraded the Wii U's gamepad battery.

Didn't help. Still the "could not find wifi networks" error instead of any other error.
