I decided im just going to pay for Gta 5 and my PS4 and some games to play at launch. I always do a big christmas with my girl friend and ill ask her for wii u games.

Okay look if microsoft came out tomorrow and said we are adding ads to every game we own and dropping the Xbox One price to 299.99 but you have to watch ads EVERYONE WOULD HAVE A FIELD DAY! If Nintendo did the same thing they would consider Nintendo a failure and this would be them giving up.

I have watched people play them, and I never thought the ads were too intrusive. Let me flesh this out a little:

 

You buy a Wii U for $99.00 flat with ad support at retail. You then either pay the $200 difference at retail to receive an unlock code tied to your NNID and console, and you have no ads. Games at retail are full price (no getting around this with discs and cases, and shelf space has to be factored in). 

 

The games on the eshop are $0-10 dollars for every AAA, honest to goodness console game. The ads would be annoying, like an interruption between 20 minutes of playtime for this version. Almost like a limited commercial break. 

 

HOWEVER...you can pay MSRP at the store or on the eshop for the full game and skip the ads altogether. 

 

I saw Ouya being brought up, but this would be a little different, as Ouya would not really have the reach that Nintendo could have. Imagine, a Console and handheld within impulse range for many people (OK, credit card impulse range), with a flood of publishers eager to make ad revenue. Nintendo makes money every time the machine turns on. Alternatively, people like us pay full price.

 

Point being, the ads would not need to be obtrusive. Purist will keep buying. The people who bite at $99 will probably make enough ad revenue in some cases to buy 3 or 4 consoles. 

I like this idea but again it wouldn't work. It might sell well but itll kill Nintendo's reputation in the core gaming community.

This is a good idea but poor execution would kill it. It would annoy people to death and it makes Nintendo seem like douche bags in the long run

I have that. Im saying what if Activision rips it off will the gamer realm be happy or sad.?

What would your reaction be if the next call of duty had mechs just like titanfall but used kill streaks in stead of burn cards. This would be the next modern warfare but with a new twist. They could also add A.I. to shoot. I wouldn't put Activision past this.

Pikmin 3 will be my first. I had a Gamecube too and the wii so I had chances just wasn't interested until now

Solid release date is a good change of pace too bad nothing else can get these.

I was born in 94 and loved the Nintendo 64 days but the whole point of buying new hardware is to up your experience so 1080p to me is a given.

Not to be rude but your making fun of me supporting the Xbox One but your pic is wii party u. Im pro Nintendo and love my Wii U but I don't get why your being negative towards my consumer decision.

In the past few weeks it has been slowly let out that almost no Xbox One games will run games at 1080p. The only known 1080p game at this point is Forza. Ryse is 900p, and even Dead Rising 3 just said dynamic resolution so to me that sounds like a fancy word for sup bar graphics. I am a Xbox One supporter and don't mind playing at 900p but this next recent rumor is really killing me.

Apparently Call of Duty Ghosts and Titan Fall (Winner of over 60 E3 awards) will both run at native 720p only to be upscaled to 1080p. I hate upscale. My Xbox 360 does this for my 1080p television right now and it almost never ever looks good. There are tons of jaggies and tons of texture issues like with GTA V when I drive fast the textures go crazy and disappear and pop in and out. I don't want to pay 500 dollars for a console that can't run games better than my current gens console do. 

I support the Xbox One and really want to get mine at launch seeing how I already paid it off and 7 games. 

But this is a serious issue with me. What is the issue? Why are the games not running where they should be. My Wii U even runs games at a better resolution (silver lining) but I want my Xbox One to be the gaming machine I thought it would be and as they advertised it to be....

Anyways, Eurogaf is unanimously crapping themselves over this game. They are going completely nuts over it.

This game alone made my Wii U purchase worthwhile. Honestly I came in expecting terrible controls a forced joining of characters and really shotty graphics but what I got was a super polished high octane almost perfect game.

The Wonderful 101 is in its own genre. Its in its own league and to me and it may just be me but this game might be the best game available on the wii u. I have Pikmin 3 and have been playing it here and there but The Wonderful 101 just seems so much more polished and NEXT GEN (FINALLY!) than any other thing any body else is doing...

This game can sell consoles and change the game and the way that everyone looks at Nintendo. 

Platinum Games shows that the Wii U is an amazing console if you use it right and more exclusives like this will put the world on notice.
