I am a WiiU owner since launch here (uk) and really was just looking for a cool board to talk Nintendo without the annoying troll/popular bashing on other boards. I mean if someone likes Halo cool for them, I if I enjoy Mario cool for me. There is no need to bash it just cause you hate it.

I am also somone who does youtube reviews of games on Wiiu + Ps3 + more. I'd post a link to my channle but I think that would be breaking the advertizement rules.

I think that covers all about me. Yes my taste in games is all over the place. I can enjoy a simple fun game like Nintendo land or enjoy a game like Resident evil 1 to 3 (they lost me with more action focus)

I think it'll be Ps4 as number 1 , Wiiu as 2 and based on all the negative wave sweeping the internet, xbone last

I'm hoping if we get guest characters besides megaman we get :

1 Sonic (i know he was in brawl but it's so perfect)

2 Pacman

Think : we have already seen it. Link in smash bros trailer looked diffrent to me. So it'll be that link in a game similar to skyrim.

This is good. I truely think the power of PS4/Xbone will help the WIIU out in a way. I mean WB supporting WIIU means that their studios who can't afford to make a big powerful game will make wiiu ones. Most likely based on CN properties they own. Like maybe a ScoobyDoo Mystery Inc game using the pad in cool ways to solve the mysteries, I'd buy that not just for kids in my family either. I'd want to play that.

I'm also hoping WB use their dc comics library in a cool way for WiiU like maybe a Teen Titans or Supergirl game.

Really do hope XB1 comes in last. However, I'm somewhat fearful that it'll do well due to average consumers not being informed of its policies. We'll see...

It'll do okay I think. I mean on amazon alone preorders are pretty high considering the negative feedback.

How about all of you? how would you rate this game?

I'd like a really obscure game that they can reboot to match the likes of halo and uncharted to shut up the dudebros.

Honestly I think Star fox (while obscure) is that game.  Here is why.

1 Ground combat was seen in this game

Now imagine both together. Imagine ground combat as a TPS (or FPS if you prefer)  , Imagine entire game played with pro-pad if you desire. Then most realistic and best graphics the Wiiu can do. Think the old star wars battlefront games BUT been able to transision from ground to space and vise versa (as was planned for Battlefront III)  Great online match types.

only thing that brogamers may not like is the animals and lack of blood. But done right this game would be so good i see everyone loving it.

Other option is same thing but replacestar fox with metroid called "Metroid wars" or something where we play as other bounty hunters (like they are looking at) so the samus character is not need. it could be a hit.

I hope the "mario & sonic" game brings back circuit mode or festival mode though. I hated the london mode last time.

It depends on you as a gamer. If you want another fun party game then Game & Wario, If you want a game with more of a story and objectives then Pikmin 3

I'd give it a B to B+.  I had it for when friends were over. I preferred it to ps3 + 360 for me personally as the local multiplayer online with me using gamepad and friend using procontroller was great.

However for others the score and if it is better, is up to the individual. Here's why :

Online :

+Local Multiplayer online with screen on pad is better than split screen (no  screen peeking ftw! lol)

+ Less people - for me I liked the smaller comunity

- Less people - some modes are just unplayed though sadly

- Last to be patched

- Has not got all the dlc

Extras :

+ supports more control types

- No achievements / trophies  (not a fan at all of theses but it is important to a big chunk of COD fanbase)

I'm sure it's been said on here before but when I searched "dlc" i got 0 results. Ironic as this is one issue I have with wiiu. When it came out I gave console a review on my channle of 9/10 give or take 0.5. However now i'd have to lower the score if I whent back. Why? DLC on the store. Some games have it but too many from various publishers do not. My guess is it has to do with how nintendo lets them host the dlc. But it's problematic. Here is why in my honest opinion.

1) Preorders : Right now Batman Arkham Orgins is rumoured/not known if or if it isn't getting the DLC.  Big mistake! I'll be buying it for wiiu as I loved the diffrence it Arkham city (gamepad as bat computer is great) but friends of mine who have wiiu and another console are getting for ps3 or 360. Why? They want to get the Deathstroke content to experience everything. So WiiU has smaller number of owners and now they make alot of those not want wiiu version ..... This is one reason third party games on wiiu are not selling more.

2) Price for content : Not preorder but there are multiple games like "mass effect 3" which is a port from a year or 2 ago and yet the dlc is not coming.  Let me ask you, what would you buy a car that costs £1000  or the same car that costs £1500 but has no radio. That's what this does. Mass effect 3 right now when looking Mass Effect 3 (ps3) £12.99 on Amazon.co.uk  , Mass effect 3 (wiiu) on same store £24.99

Now some of this could be the "war" between ea and nintendo. But it's not just ea doing this.

3) extendeding the game : Take COD BLOPS2 , Love it or hate it, you can not argue it's popular. The wiiu version = barely supported. It got patches longer , less DLC. These while been content you could say was left out on purpose to sell dlc. It extends the game. Every COD fan I know buys every map , every weapon. It's a big deal to them. Yet you can't on wiiu or at least as much. So guess which version they won't buy?

I hope this topic does not come across as "trolling" or anything like that. I love my Wiiu. But the DLC thing is a massive deal even if you don't care about dlc enough do. Hell every year I buy the WWE games + fan axxess (every upcoming dlc for one price saving you a little cash) I do it as I want every wrestler the game has to offer. We need DLC to be improved.

So I ask, What are your opinions? and is there a reason Wiiu is getting much less dlc?

1. Amazon has confirmed that Deathstroke DLC will be available day one for the Wii U version of Arkham Origins.

 

2. Nintendo has allowed publishers to set price and availability of their content on the eShop.

 

3. Activision's lack of support for the Wii U version of the game was Activision's decision, not Nintendo's. Furthermore, it had nothing to do with eShop restrictions, policies, etc, which are actually very relaxed compared to both MS and Sony (see 2).

I was just wondering why games from multiple publishers "Activision" "EA" "WB" and possibliy others are not using dlc hosting.

I'm pretty sure there have been games that have had DLC on the Wii U, I haven't checked for myself though.

 

Injustice is an interesting case, they said there was an issue they were having with submitting the DLC to Nintendo, so it got pushed back to the summer.

Is it possible that issues that is the same issue stopping more dlc?

Perhaps, I don't know, maybe it was just different and the publishers didn't want to deal with it initially.  The problem is that they are creating a self fulfilling prophecy with their games.  They claim they don't support it because of install base, but when the potential buyer hears that it isn't being supported properly, they look elsewhere.

Not at all. The features were linked together. It'd be like saying "I don't like this house demolish it!" then when they do , "No! I lost my cool bathroom too" The patent on the cool features was tied to the used games and online DRM. You get rid of those of course you loose the good too.  Like when ps3 cut their cost by removing a chip. We lost ps2 backwards compatibility.  

A few but it depends.

For example if it's a big story driven game like Batman Arkham city. I'll play that and only that on my own time. However when friends come over ect... I pop in multiplayer gamers like street fighter or wwe or Mario & Sonic at the olympics
