My original post was from my Wii U and its copy paste feature was limited so I then went to my PC for the rest of the post.

The Wii U continues to be strong in Japan for another week selling even more consoles than last week, almost 50,000!

For the record, I am a He, not a She ... I just happen to have a sexy female avitar!

That would be nice, my artwork is always done in pastel and so they are muddy to start with, but I don't think they look all that bad.  I have often wondered how some people get such detailed and exact fine lines ... with perfect spacing ... I wondered if they use a real fine point stylus in addition to using a different brush or pen than I always use.

Then why doesn't the cat suit do this?

Nintendo had stated that your character transforms into a cat and that it is not a suit like the other ones are.

They disabled linking and saving screenshots not to long ago. I just tried and it wont let me.

How is Fifa?  I just picked it up for my nephew for xmas.

I find it very annoying myself, especially those that say they don't own a Wii U and have no interest in buying one ... why would you even come to this site at all?  Have you lost your mind?  I would never even visit an XBOX site because I have zero interest in it ... and I certainly would not visit it just to say bad things about it, especially when I don't own it and can't say anything about it from 1st hand experience ... REDICULOUS !!!

The reality is, most true gamers usually own more than one system and in many cases, its a Nintendo system and something else.  So if you are someone who will eventually own two systems, it makes much more sense to buy a Wii U now and I say that because Nintendo games hold their value longer than games from other systems.  This means that by just waiting a year or two, the other systems games will drop dramatically in price where Nintendo games will cost the same as they do now or only slightly cheaper.

 

But when it boils down to it, if I could only own one system, I would choose the Wii U ... Nintendo games are always of higher quality in terms of fun and game mechanics, and they also have a wider appeal ... I have been playing Super Mario 3D world co op with a 4 year old!  We both love it!  Why?  Because the 4 year old can pick up the invincible powerup and the 45 year old can avoid it ... both play and both enjoy the game!  Other game companies make games specifically targeted at specific audiences and if you do not fall into that audience, you probably will not enjoy the game or it will not be appropriate for you.  The Wii U also has some adult only games although many adults wish it had more of them.  I keep saying eventually I will buy a PS4 to scratch my 1st person shooter itch but if Nintendo came out with some new IP (yes a few) FPSs, I would not even ever have the need for a PS4.

You know, site after site, news publication after news publication .... They are all saying that of the PS4, XBOX One, and Wii U, right now, this Christmas, the Wii U is the system to get ... and I agree ...

Im just happy to see it selling.

I know I 100%ed Mario 64 back in the day but I never, never had an erge to revisit it, it left an annoying taste in my mouth, similar to what Wind Waker did.  Recently, I got the HD WW thinking I may change my tune for the game, it didn't ... I would be very reluctant to revisit M64 and never want to even look at Sunshine again.  There are some Mario games I always enjoy revisiting ... SMB, SMB3, SMW, NSMB, NSMBU, GALAXY 1 & 2, and I can already say I will be able to add SM3DW to replay list ... it is a playful and fun game with plenty of variety.

Wii U took the top spot in sales for a home console beating out PS3 & XBOX 360, Overall, however, the 3DLL was the top selling system.  

Wow, I know 2 people that said they are buying them for christmas, then again, I don't know anyone personally that got a PS4 or XBOX ONE either!

How many people do you know personally that have not bought a Wii U yet but will witout a doubt buy one before Christmas?  Have you invited your friends over to play a Wii U and exposed them to Mario 3D World?  If so, how did they react?

The Wii U is actually the best choice for Christmas!  

I am in shock that stores such as GameStop have the worst display screens with the worst settings on them to display and try and sell consoles. At my local store the PS4 games looked Worse than the Wii U games and they didn't look great themseves.  I happen to have a 55in Sony TV and everrything looks better on it than the pad.

As I have said before, people that don't like Nintendo games have either not played them or have been brainwashed not to even try them.  We have reached a very sad state if the Wii U is not successful because that would indicate that the gaming community at large has lost their minds.  The Wii U is not only an outstanding console, it is the best console Nintendo has ever produced ... and I am ready to defend that statement.

This game needs to sell systems, if it does not, that is a sign of huge trouble.

I have been using this program for 15 days in a row.  I do at least a one hour workout routine consisting of yoga, strength training, andaerobics.  My routine is saved with the explinatins taken out.

 

There are no balance games or dance games in my routine.

 

I begin with yoga, go to strength, then aerobic, then back to yoga.

 

The cycling and hoola hoop extra  is in my routine, this gets me breathing heavy and prepares me for the 20 min free run.

 

I have lost 5 pounds and have found the fit meter invaluable as it motivates me to do things like take stairs instead of elevators.

 

I am very happy with the program and there are still a lot of things I have not tried yet. 

I made a gym called U Fit Mii NYC, this creates a community, posting while in game posts there, when in miiverse, once you join a gym, you can find that community under your favorite communities.

I am pleased you can customize a routine. That was one of my reservations about taking this game seriously. I never played Wii Fit. I am hoping to get my in-laws balance board soon so I can take advantage of the promotion. I will also be downloading Wii Sports Club. Bowling and Tennis will be fun, but I really can't wait for Golf! Add me if you like, Jumpman86.

Interestingly enough, I have found no way to turn the Fit Meter off ... you should wear it all day but I thought you would turn it off at bedtime.

 

The fit meter does go into a display sleep mode after a few sec of not touching buttons ....it is still counting but the display turns off .... holding the center button a few secs brings the display back on.

 

It keeps a running total throughout the day, but you can sync it as often as you like, it continues to keep a daily running total and only syncs the calories and such that have not already been synced ...at midnight, all daily stats zero out ....I think the meter holds up to 30 days.

 

Considering you may not be able to turn it off, like a digital watch, the battery may last a very long time.

The Wii Fit Miiverse Forums are up.  Because I am so new  to it, I have not gotten beyond the few yoga exercises I already tried in Wii Fit.  I can say that there are over 70 activities to do ...most of which I have not even looked at yet.  You will get your heart pumping if you want it to .... I know I was wipped after a 20 minute run!

After spending 24 hours with the game, I love it, especially since my fit meter arrived today.  I never played Wii Fit Plus before so going from Wii Fit to Wii Fit U is a major leap in what the game has to offer.

 

My favorite aspects of Fit U

 

* Able to make 3 workout routines and save and edit them.  You can string exercises together and eliminate the tutorial from each one.  This provides a perfect, non interrupted workout.

 

*  The Fit Meter ...This device tracks your number of calories burned, # of steps, exercise intensity level (at rest, walking, running), changes in elevation (walking up steps burns more than walking down steps or on a flat serface), and it also provides you with time and temperature.  This device really rounds out the package ... you wear it all day and sync it when you like ....the best part is, you can wear it using other workout games then sync it up.

 

*  You can join or create a public or private gym and through Miiverse & communicate and see what others in the gym have been up to and who recently achieved one of their goals.

 

*  Lets you to take a headshot ....over time comparing these should show changes in weight

 

I'm just scratching the surface of this game now, there is so much of it I have not seen ... but I am lovin it.
