But at least the GamePad recognises the input when you're trying to play with it so there is a chance for some games to be played with the GamePad directly I guess.

ZombiU. It has one of the best local multiplayer modes I've ever played and I'm not even kidding.

Pikmin 3's multiplayer is great but it's going to be fun if only both of you have already gone through the story mode.

Don't worry about that, games will eventually get better. I mean, what have you expected? The jump from 720p to 1080p native is really big, they have to take baby steps first. If you have GTA IV on your XBOX, you can easily see what I mean by comparing it with the recent one.

Just kidding, don't overreact again. But they shouldn't have published such an elaborate game to the mass public because they aren't nearly as many Platinum Games fans owning a Wii U as the company needs to sell the game successfully. It may be a great game but judging by the comments it's complexity is putting people off. We don't live in the '90s anymore when you had to use your brain to beat a game, nowadays people are too lazy to play a game like the W101 the way it is meant to be played.

It's never a good idea to have such high expectations even after playing the demo. Just to avoid feeling disappointed if anything goes wrong.

I just tried all the missions in the demo and now this game reminds me of Tank! Tank! Tank! not just because of its art style, but also because of the gameplay which is kind of shallow.
This game also reminds me of these garbage shows the CartoonNetwork is currently known for. The animation seems too cheesy and even ugly sometimes and the dialogues themselves are so cliché that it's not even funny.
However, the biggest problem I encountered was the use of the GamePad - drawing a shape or trying to do it could be a huge pain and it becomes even more frustrating when you try to surround a certain object or to save citizens.
It's a shame that I can get the game for 30% off when it obviously isn't that good. I wish I could have that discount for Rayman Legends instead. ![]()

1. Not even close. You just suck at the game. Try using the right analog stick for drawing. Past that, youll actually have to try learning something new. You can always tell whos been raised on 'press a for awesome' style games.
The analog stick is a better alternative indeed but it is still bad in my opinion. I just don't like these kind of games and I don't see how this should be wrong in any way.

Kamiya and Platinum Games, besides being relatively young in the industry, really know what they do (look at their curriculum), and they arent conventional at all. This game is pretty ambicious (damn, they even game Kamiya his own Nintendo Direct, which never happened ever!), and for action game fans, its full of fun! Maybe if you dont like/suck at- action games, its obviously not for you. And thats acceptable: i dont like FPS's, i suck at them, that's why i avoid them.
Yeah, maybe that's the issue with me, I just don't like games that oriented towards action, maybe that's why I called it shallow the first time because, when I think about what 3Dude said, it can be really deep if you're aiming to become the highest score possible and not just mashing buttons to finish it quickly. Like someone said before (I think it was in the direct thread for the W101) it is either love it or hate it. I'll maybe give this game a try just to go on the other side to see if they have cookies.

I actually think the review is pretty fair judging by my own experience with the game though I haven't play the whole game and I currently don't plan to. I usually don't really like her reviews, especially the Pikmin 3 one, but this wasn't the case here.

Nintendo kind of jerks with this one. For example, I have purchased Pikmin 3 for 49.99€ and according to the promotion I should get 10% in points which is 499. Just look at this picture.
https://p.nintendo.n...dp_en_02_pc.png
Instead it says I bought Pikmin 3 for 42.01€ and that's how I get 79 points less than I should do.

That`s weird...
Were those your only games bought digitally?
This problem appears to happen with every other eShop game I bought, including NSLU and DuckTales.

How the heck does it say that? Could it be the price without taxes?
That's what I originally thought but then I bought Rayman Legends for the same price and it says 37,81€.

Ok, after I just finished playing Pikmin 1 for the first time, I'm now mega-hyped for Pikmin 3, I didn't know at first that I'm really into RTS games.

Which makes me question if Nintendo's focus and time shouldn't have been been spend on building a game that would solid their consumerbase.
Like what, another Mario game? Nintendo should also care for their die-hard fans. Assuming I'm one of them, I am currently fed up with Mario titles and yet they are still plenty of others coming. Not that I don't want Mario Kart or 3D World, but Nintendo should also develop its other franchises which are not oriented towards the casual 8 year old. Looking back at Pikmin 1, I really hope Pikmin 3 is more like it because it really isn't casual at all.
By the way, probably midnight release for me. ![]()

It looks good but it reminds me so much of XBOX 360's menu and it somehow doesn't contain that specific Nintendo feel.

I don't think we'll be seeing another Legend of Zelda next year, so soon after WW: HD and A Link between Worlds but needless to say everyone will be happy if it happens. I hope Yoshi Yarn comes earlier, out of all games you mentioned it was probably announced before them and still there are only very few details available.

Yes, they already announced that it will be automatically downloaded to every Wii U console that's connected to the Internet. Sadly you have to pay for it if you want to use it for more than 24 hours.
