a metal gear vita exclusive like peace walker I think it will come eventually but probably not anytime soon I would buy a vita out right as soon as they got some type of bundle if no bundle as soon as they announce it

It's not necessarily it being a case of first or third party that defines what I mean.
You are able to download a large variety of titles that come from all of Playstations major systems, as well as stronger DLC options, the PS Plus service and of course the individual services (for whatever reason) that don't come with Nintendo systems, and generally overall a larger amount to access.
vey good point didn't even think of it

Playstation also has stronger download libraries than Nintendo.
of course due to 3rd party support

some new ip's nintendo released on wii:
endless ocean
Wii sports
wii fit
wii music
pandoras tower
disaster day of crisis
wii party
fling smash
Zangeki no Reginleiv (freaking amazing)
Xenoblade (no its NOT part of xenogears, its completely independent, the actual title is 'monado, beginning of the world', the localised name was changed to honor takahashi, the creator of the xeno series, not because its related to gears or saga in any way)
Rythm heaven fever
Do some research first, it will help a lot.
Glaring errors like this tend to distract from the credibility of what you are saying and the persuasiveness of the point you are trying to make.
thanks for the advice and sorry for my mistakes but to counter your point although review scores can be misleading because there are a lot of great games with terrible scores and a lot of crap games with great scores review scores, but review scores do matter and the titles you listed most of them were flops with bellow 70 on metacritic such as disaster day of crisis having a 69 and wii music with a 63 for example although you did mention some great games there are just more new IP's on ps3 this generation that were grade A games

1st the launches, i expect all 3 nextgen systems to have a similar situation to wiiU, but i also expect PS4/xbone to not be hit as hard as wiiU was by droughts/poor post launch sales.
2nd, sony did overtake nintendo for best 1st/2nd party development in recent years, mostly because wii didnt have good 1st/2nd party for the second half while sony went hard in that area. sony will need to hold that title for 2-3 more years but that will be harder than during the ending wii days, if they do succeed then they overtook ninty in best first party overall. early first/second party for PS4 atm doenst look like it will cut it though.
I completley agree with your second point but your 1st I completley disagree with because I think the xbone and the ps4 have much better launches with less shovel ware and more grade A games
Thought this was a thread to talk about how the Vita beat out the Wii U in sales last month.
The Vita.
I really dont care about sales I was just thinking about it and how sony has become a much better company since the year that must not be named *whispers* 2006 where they did EVERYTHING wrong

Just to let you know, there were 2 metroid titles on the Wii: Metroid Prime 3 and Metroid Other M.
thanks I forgot about prime 3 for whatever reason and also metroid other M is in another class of games for example mario kart is not considered apart of the 2d platforming mario series because of the different gameplay

Now I can already tell this is going to get a lot of hate but here is my opinion and I'm curious about what other people think so lets get started with my reasoning so lets start with the launch day titles for the ps4 there is a lot of variety and games that I'm sure that will get very high praise and if you need a list of launch day games here http://www.ign.com/w...4_Launch_Titles
that's my first reason and nintendo compared I feel they rushed the release of the WiiU and the 3ds because both systems got great games by the end of the year but Nintendo decided to launch it earlier than Sony's products and have a very lackluster launch for both systems
My second reason is that Sony has really stepped up there first party game this generation alone they had several new IP's such as the last of us, little big planet, Uncharted, infamous, ni no kuni ( if it is first party it may not be correct me if I'm wrong), modnation racers and the list goes on and on with the new IP's sony has created this generation along with there already famous IP's and the thing is all these new titles have lots of variety from platforming to action and adventure. Nintendo on the other hand has relased very few new IP's on the Wii off the top of my head I can only think of Pandoras tower and Xenoblade Chronicles which technically Xenoblade is a apart of the Xenosaga which started as a ps1 game called Xenogears
And I know that Nintendo has great first party titles its just that I want new titles and I know of Miyamoto making the new IP but what if its another Wii Music type new IP. I love Nintendos IP's alot of them didn't even appear on the Wii like starfox, metroid(not counting trilogy because its a collection), fzero and many more
Now this is a complaint to both companies that they both have really milked titles such as 2 ,2-D mario games in less than 2 months and also Sony with the complete milking of Uncharted 3 I mean they released 3 uncharted games in one generation which IMO is too many
Now the indy support that both Sony and Nintendo is amazing I want to thank you for what you're doing with great games coming both to the WiiU and the Playstation 4 Sony seems to really be opening up to indy devs and I really like where its going with Nintendo.
So that is my reasoning and if you would like to debate this I'm very open to doing it. I know there will be a ton of hate on this post but I'm really curious what other people think and I'm also curious who is a die hard fanboy and I feel this post will show who is soooooooo thats it good bye

Hahahahaha no, CoD players aren't hardcore...
I have to disagree with you because if call of duty is casual so is smash bros and neither of them are casual they can be played casually but there are tournaments and people winning large amounts of money from mastering both of these games

Exercise.
You want a hard core, you gotta exercise. You want those abs to be rock hard, you gotta exercise. You want those muscles solid, you gotta exercise.
If you can do that on top of being a gamer, you're a hardcore gamer.
you have 100% change my opinion I agree with you now

Are peple not liking the gamepad itself? Or just not liking the fact that its not being used to its potential?
nbond3040, on 15 Jul 2013 - 9:40 PM, said:I agree with you but there is still more to be desired like besides the chat app which I forgot to mention in my review sorry, no games have used the webcam or mic to my knowledge at least and I defintley agree the map is convienent especially for monster hunter ultimate great game by the way and that game used it very well but I see even more potential and inovation

Did you know you can use the pad to chat with peple in your friends list ... video chst outside a game?
I personally like the game pad I just think that it could be used for more than just a map I dont know what because I'm not creative but something that is really inovative and uses all of the gamepads features like webcam and mic and touchscreen and we havent seen anything from nfc yet but the gamepad itself is really good like the build quality is nice its light the only thing I dont like is the triggers arent analog

I saw a topic by retro blast and in it he stated his opinion on what makes a hardcore gamer and it got me thinking what really makes a hardcore gamer and I think that you're a hardcore gamer if gaming is apart of your life such as being on a forum, watching trailers, buying games on release day, talking to other gamers about what games you're excited for and looking up news about gaming. I also think that there is no such thing as a hardcore game or a casual game because I'm a hardcore gamer and I play animal crossing and mario kart and those games are usually laughed at by the "hardcore gamers" that only play call of duty and madden so I'm curious about what you guys think and also heres a link to retro blasts topic its a really good read you should check it out http://thewiiu.com/t...ps/#entry231908

Wii U Game Reviews
Great Review, even though many feel not much is being done with the pad yet, I am very happy with it already for off tv gaming ... no other system has mastered that yet except Nintendo at this point. No other system allows for video chat from a systems control pad either. Although it may not seem revolutionry, using the pad to display a world map is very convenient and it is uses like these I know I already like, I may not like some of the wacky uses of the pad to come in the future .... hehe
I was really hoping that when mario went down a pipe in Mario Wii U that it would appear on the pad and when he was above ground, it would appear on the TV ... like in the DSI games ... but I think things like that are coming...
I agree with you but there is still more to be desired like besides the chat app which I forgot to mention in my review sorry, no games have used the webcam or mic to my knowledge at least and I defintley agree the map is convienent especially for monster hunter ultimate great game by the way and that game used it very well but I see even more potential and inovation

Wii U Game Reviews
So I think I should start off with saying I have no bias what so ever I own ps3, wii U, and xbox 360, and I have no brand loyalty so this is a 100% un-biased review. So stating that lets get started; so I figured I would break this up into parts just so if you dont care about one you can skip to another
Games:
- There is a lot coming to WiiU in the rest of this year and 2014 for example Bayonetta 2, Smash bros, New Super Luigi U etc.
-Also something I like is there is a lot of variety coming to the WiiU its not just shooter after shooter; they are doing fighting games, strategy games, and platformers.
-But to downplay it the launch was in my opinion very lack luster with delays of great games like pikimin 3 and Wonderful 101.
-Also I know most people who bought a WiiU know how Nintendo works and know that they won't be getting all the triple A 3rd party titles like GTA5 and Battlefield and I know that when I bought this console I was buying it for the Nintendo exclusives but that being said it is still important to have 3rd party support for people who only buy one console.
Hardware:
- First plus is that this console came with an HDMI good job nintendo you're doing it right
-The seond thing is the elephant in the room... The specs and I'm not the type of guy that knows everything about specs but it is very obvious that the WiiU is underpowered compared to other consoles especially because of the ps4 which has better specs but will only cost $50 more and of course the gamepad costs extra but I will talk about the gamepad later don't get me wrong I expected there the console to have less power its just the way Nintendo is they are about inovation and I knew it when I decided to get the WiiU
Gamepad:
- I'm going to say this now I see a lot of potential for the gamepad but the thing is so far I feel Nintendo should have just used the WiiU pro controller and take $50 off the WiiU so the reason I'm saying this is because no developer has used the WiiU gamepad to its full potential yet it just feels like something that can be used well but just ends up being a feature they think about afterwords like just adding a mini map which I rarley look down at so I'm saying this now but as soon as a developer uses the WiiU gamepad in a interesting and unique way I will change my mind and say that the WiiU gamepad is worth the money
-The gamepad is very comfortable the touch screen is easy to reach its light the only problem I have with the gamepad is the choice to not use analog triggers which sucks for racers but its not a big deal to me
Misc.
- The internet browser is absolutley amazing with fast load times and easy controls and no history ( if you know what I mean) just kidding
-The Miiverse community is AMAZING I see even more potential with it and I cant wait the people using it are extremley nice and supportive there are tons of cool drawings and litteral masterpeices and soon they will be able to use art academy to show off there amazing drawings and paintings also with the ability to stop mid game and take screen captures its very cool
Verdict:
- I see a lot of potential in the WiiU it has some really cool features like Miiverse and the internet browser it struggled at the start but there are alot of good games coming soon I would sugest waiting a little maybe for christmas this year but if I had to give it a score which is just for now because my opinion may change due to releases and new features so for now its a 6.7/10 also if you've read this far then if you disagree and would like to debate then I am open to it and you may sway my veiws and the score of the system if I forgot anything tell me and I'll chage this article type thing soooooo thats it bye
