Zinix, you're setting me up for dissapointment, extreme dissapointment.
I would love for this to be true but I doubt it is to be honest. Though I wouldn't mind being wrong.

Heh, funny. I have pretty much the opposite opinion.
Sonic 1 offered just enough platforming challenge not to be too easy but not enough challenge to get ultra frustrating. It offered a large character, size wise, than Mario and it was a brighter, cheerier game as well. Sonic had personality too ... if you did not move him, he would tap his foot (a big deal back in the day) The special stages in Sonic 1 were awesome ... with the level turning and having to make your way to the chaos emerald without falling into an exit ... it was very visually stimulating and advanced for its time .. in my opinion, the best special stage of any Sonic game.
To me, it seemed like a great start for a series ... then when Sonic 2 came out I got that too. Immediately I realized that the graphics were more muddy than Sonic 1 and the gameplay was headed down hill ... the spin dash helped you rev up speed so you didn't have to walk back to pick up speed to make it through a loop, a nice touch but the problem was, it turned into a loop da loop game and was less of a platformer than Sonic 1. It was riddled with cheap deaths caused by speeding up and then running into an enemy you could not see until after he had already killed you.
Instead of Sonic growing up and obtaining new good moves, he was falling apart as a platformer and becoming a racing game.
After Sonic 3, I had had enough with Sonic and had no interest in buying another Sega Console. I said to myself ... If I don't like their Mascot games, which are supposed to be their flagship games, what else is there?
You didn't like Sonic 3? Why?

Usually I don't use them when playing the main game with a few exceptions like Carracosta's shell smash, I loved that move.

Yeah, most of that's not even on the catalogue that I was looking at.
Really? I can find pretty much all of that stuff except the Luigi coin on my one. (The Luigi coin being the thing I actually want besides the Mario Galaxy soundtrack)

Aww, I thought this was something interesting considering the whole "mario sight" thing.
this is Nintendo we're talking about. They'll probably start suing let's plays on youtube for Gods sake. They have no concept that these sites are free advertising. Do they really think that anyone is paying for the original mario these days? Really?
Well, I don't know about you but I actually, like, pay for my games.

Think I'll play the demo just to satiate my curiosity, until I get the game that is.
I read professional reviews because I don't have enough money to buy a bunch of games hoping that they're good
In previous Sonic games did collecting 100 rings give you a 1-up?
Collecting 100 rings did give you an extra life, yes.

I'm not sure if I was clear, but I'm buying Madden either way. I just asked whether I should buy Sonic to fill the gap between October 29th and November 15th or just save 50 bucks.
Look at the feedback from people who have played Lost World. See if the description of the gameplay style is anything similar to the style of Sonic's levels in the Adventure games since you seem to like that gameplay style the most.
If you only view it as a way to fill a gap in time then I probably wouldn't suggest it.

If it were me, I'd say Lost World hands down but if you like Madden more on average you should probably get that.

Dude, misleading title.
I don't know how I'd feel about it to be honest. If the reasoning was so it would have more games at launch then I probably would be against it since they've already set a date and they ought to follow up on that but if it was because of technichal faults that need to be corrected or something like that then sure, why not.
I doubt it will happen though.

Wii U Hardware
So I am looking at purchasing a Wii U but I am not sure what to think of it. On one hand, it tempts me more than a ps4 and an xbox one due to its free online, nintendos interesting vibrant ips, (read: NOT monotonous generic military corridor shooters) the innovative gamepad and potentially the estore as I would love to see some of the exclusive digital titles nintendo possesses. (although I couldn't find much info on these outside of A Hat in Time and pokemon rumble.)
However, I am aware the social features are limited, as are the amount of games in general and with that said, the games along with the console seem extremely pricey. (the premium console alone retails for around $500NZD where I live.) I was also disheartened when I heard that the estore contains no n64/gamecube titles along with no gamecube backwards compatibility (this would of instantly sold the system for me) and that the systems portability is restricted since the gamepad isn't actually the console.
Currently where I am living I have an OUYA, a 360, a PS3, a Wii and a gaming laptop, and I wanted to hear from Wii U owners about whether they feel that they made a good purchase, what some of the pros and cons of the system are, and if the system is worth my investment. Thanks guys.
Can't you access the Wii eshop through Wii mode? There are N64 titles on there.

Probably not. The only real interests I have are drawing and video games. Not to mention that my views usually conflict with the common opinions that people tend to have. Though it doesn't stop me from talking to people and having a varied group of friends. Guess I'm just endearing.

It would be too much of a departure from where the series is usually set. Besides if they're going to do any sci-fi games they better be Metroid titles. Though a Zelda styled sci-fi adventure game is something that would be interesting to see.

There were levels from Sonic Colours in Lost World? Were they the exact same levels or new levels that used the same environment?

This is in no way okay.
"We have an extensive feature set which makes full use of the Wii U GamePad, plus we were able to add exclusive features to the Wii U version which we think Nintendo fans will appreciate and truly immerse them into the world of Deus Ex like never before.”
You know, if they actually attempted to specify those features instead of just saying there are features then maybe I'd more inclined to agree. They would have to be some bloody good features to convince me it's worth $20 more but hey, you never know.

I am excited for QUBE, Pier Solar, Wooden Sen Sey, and Shovel Knight.
I would also like to mention A Hat in Time. While it's not confirmed for Wii U, they have stated that they are trying to be a licensed developer on the system, and have said thatvif it comes to any console, it would be Wii U.
Really hope A Hat in Time comes to the Wii U. The U already has Armikrog coming which I'm more than happy to get.

Apparently I'm an ISFP. Not sure about the accuracy of the test since it's online but whatever. I'd say the description for ISFP fits me.
Funny how we have 5 INTJ's considering it's supposed to be the 2nd least common.

That's pretty cool. Sounds like they had fun with it too. Though after reading this thread I kind of feel like an idiot since I say "Mah-rio" too.
I can't. I'm in class and forgot my headphones today :/
Pay attention!
