Forgot about Dark Moon. Still need to play that.
By the way, how much do you even save with that first bundle? Its just a 3DS with Luigi's mansion pre-installed, isn't it? (Or is the 3DS unique? Doesn't look all that special)

I am with 3dude on this one. Cannot wait. Will be awesome.
Only reason I'm not foaming at the mouth is because we haven't gotten much info recently. Kinda fades into the back of my mind til I'm reminded.
Only thing I'm worried about is that, considering the emphasis on the "Dolls" (the mechs), that they'll name it Xenodolls or something stupid. Unfortunately there's a lot of people who would skip a game named that.
I doubt that they would even consider that as a possibility for a title for that very reason (At least I hope they wouldn't).
I wish we had ANY new info on ANYTHING. Im dyin here.
Heres some things Ive pieced together.
The 'main character' is wearing a military uniform, shared by many others, very likely the uniform for military combat mech pilots. Lucky us XD.
The name of the doll showcased in the second trailer is inferno 01.
Shulk is almost undoubtedly not in the game nor has anything to do with the game. This is most likely another monolithsoft red herring, like kosmos in japanese xenoblade print ads, and cian look alike in xenosaga. Its just something they like to do.
The city has a large tower in the center, with a percentage shown in huge numbers. (along with some hexadecimal scrolling numbers that dont seem to have a purpose other than looks).
My guess is thats the city's energy/fuel counter. And running out is bad. Im guessing many of the mission payoffs involve bringing fuel/energy back to the city as well as gold, exp, equipment etc.
Heres my speculation... I think this city is more than a city. I think that its like the thames, or a bigger Yggdrasil from xenogears, I think its a giant craft, that is basically a mobile city, and that tower shows just how much fuel it has left.
Makes sense to me from a game design standpoint as well.
Like xenogears, the dolls require fuel. They can only go so far before needing to be refueled... Which typically happens at the base. If this game really is as big as it looks like its going to be, traveling on foot is going to be entirely too slow to be practical for traveling long distance. Basically you travel via mech, then get out and explore more in depth.
Well, even those mechs have distance limits before needing to return and refuel (undoubtedly upgradable fuel tanks a la xenogears though) So.... Bring the base with you!!!
Just need to make sure it has enough fuel to move to its new destination full of new things to explore, and resources to collect!
I wouldn't be surprised if you're right about the fuel and the city. The time in the top right corner seems to support the idea of getting fuel before it runs out and the huge walls around the city in the trailer kind of make it seem like the city could be mobile but you know, I just want a release date. XD

I kind of wish we knew a bit more about what was going on in the game (Apart from what 3Dude pointed out about the song).
Besides that, I'm excited for it.

When I was really young I somehow managed to get a hanger pierced through my eyelid. Had to go to the hospital and everything.
Second would be falling from a trampoline in P.E. at school. I was pretty damn convinced I broke my back considering the height i fell from and the amount of pain it inflicted. (I didn't, thankfully).
Theres a whole list of other stupid stuff but I can't be bothered to write it down.
Side note: it's funny how one letter can change the entire meaning of a sentence.

Sweet, it's about time they started doing this.
"Players will be registered to state or regional clubs"
"or take on members of rival clubs to increase their club rankings." - I will personally ensure England is at the top. ![]()

Don't get my hopes up...
Though if there was an online mario party I would buy it immediately.

So in total you will be paying 50 dollars for all five games for a game that came out 6 years ago?
You can buy wii sports for 20 bucks NEW...
It's in HD and there is online multiplayer, it's not like there isn't any difference.
You could apply that very same argument to Wind Waker HD. (Probably not the $20 but you get what I mean)

Yeah but WW is over ten years old.
Who really cares about the "HD" part? The original game looked fine to me.
And the online... how many people that own a Wii U are actually gonna spend money to play online on a six year old game?
I don't really see your point about WW. It's still a HD remake of an old game with minimal additions.
And no offense but you're making quite the assumption by implying no one cares about HD visuals and that no one is going to buy the game. In fact there are a number of people in this thread who have expressed an interest in purchasing some of the sports because of the online aspect.

I'm taking Game Art & Animation through the University of Advancing Technology, an Arizona based school which I'm taking online. So it's online college for me. I will be taught Game Art & Animation as my major. However, the school is extremely technology focused and wants to teach their students online etiquette, and also things which translate to Game Design, and things which translate to modern and advancing technology. So even though my major is art which is one of the categories that is the least focused on technology, I won't be getting away easily. Part of this school is what you make of it, but I will be making a game in Unity for the Wii U as one of my assignments, most likely.
Also, a big part of learning is student-based discussion boards.

I'm in college for game development related stuff and if current info is to be believed, I can make a game for the Wii U for about $3000, for the price of the dev kit and Unity package. Many indie developers are going to be using Unity for making games for the Wii U, XBox One and PS4. It's just how the cookie crumbles.
Unity is not well multi-threaded. Many processes run on a single core and max out the single core of a processor. According to 3Dude, the Wii U has the most powerful individual cores of all three systems. Which means the Wii U will offer the most CPU performance for Unity games.
Unity is also not 64-bit in any practical way. Which means that you can't take advantage of more than about 3 GB RAM. You might as well develop for the Wii U's 1GB memory.
Really the only advantage the XBox One and PS4 have is much more GPU power.
You can ask me questions about any of this stuff, but keep in mind I'm still learning. It's not until you are learning that you realize how stupid you were.

I would say Nintendo but I feel like that's more because I've actually played most of the games on their side but barely any games that Sony makes.

Just a digital copy. I already have the limited edition of the first game so I can't really say I'm bothered enough to get this special edition.

I've Played Tetris (Though I'm sure everyone else has too).
Aside from that I guess 999 and Virtues Last Reward would be my favourites. (Considering they're the only other ones I've played)

Well, that does make sense. It certainly doesn't help line the publishers' pockets if we're all buying only one or two games every few months and spending tons of time playing the crap out of them. Having just got WW HD and Monster Hunter, there's no reason I should feel the constant need to check on what's coming out next and be looking for deals on other games, but whatever I've been trained to feel from these other games is encroaching even when my focus is on my beloved Nintendo.

Dude, misleading title.
I don't know how I'd feel about it to be honest. If the reasoning was so it would have more games at launch then I probably would be against it since they've already set a date and they ought to follow up on that but if it was because of technichal faults that need to be corrected or something like that then sure, why not.
I doubt it will happen though.

K Smith (what the hell is that!) and that I mean it says u are Smith
Sorry didn't even know where to post it and what the cafe is. What is it?
The forum is broken up into different sections that topics are posted into. You posted this in the welcome section which is for topics made by new members introducing themselves to the community. The cafe is the area for anything deemed unfit for anywhere else and is the place this topic would fit. I wouldn't worry too much though, I assume some moderator will move the thread. (Right guys?)
Just look at the different sections next time you want to post a topic and see which one suits it the most.
