I never thought I'd see Disgiea or anything from NIS used as a positive lol. None of that interests me and lot of it was shoved out. KH is one of the worst RPG series I own. Killzone was pretty mediocre. Bloodborne I love the art but the Souls games meh. More a SMT guy. Tho PSN+ let me play Rocket League wich was fun for a couple of weeks. Will come back to it someday.

Thaaat all being said. The Playstation 4 has a huuuuge amount of games that're a blast to play, especially if you like playing a bunch of different things. Tearaway: Unfolded, Uncharted Collection, Shovel Knight, MGS5, inFAMOUS, etc. Personally, I'd say buy one, but maybe wait to see if you can get a good black friday deal of some sort. There'll probably be all sorts of game/controller bundles for cheap.

I had to wait a half hour for Dragon Age install and 20 minutes on Diablo and PS3 often does the same thing.

MGS5 can be played on PC or PS3 or 360 or XBO. Shovel Knight is on Wii U,3DS and PC. Tearaway on Vita. Those are not reasons to buy the system. In the west tho I bought Dragon Quest Heroes as I love DQ and want more western DQ games. 2016 EXCLUSIVES will justify the system for me. Other than that PS4 has sold on marketing but on games you can mostly play elsewhere already.

Outside of the 1997 CGI cut scene models nice the Wii U getting another RPG but better than XCX...doubt it. Also WTF is up with that one dues boots they are glitching hard!

I have had far more to play on my Wii U than my PS4 (esp with Rodea in a couple days for Wii U and Xenoblade Chronicles X next month). However with Gravity Rush 2,Street Fighter,Nier and King of Fighter 14 in 2016 will justify my PS4 finally.

Get a 10 foot charge cable for the DS4 as the battery life is piss poor so may as well use it plugged in. There are no Demo's on PSN and it gives you no screenshots or vids like Eshop for games. Still uses the PS3 system where want to buy a game for 3 bucks. Tough you have to add 5 bucks to your wallet. The themes are junk. Every game takes like 40GB of your HDD as none are optimized. So get a 1TB or 2TB HDD for it and I mean buy a internal one as PS4 does not support External HDD. Good thing is replacing the internal HDD will not void the warranty. Just be aware of installs and long install times.

If you want to play online you HAVE to have PSN+ as it costs to play online with people.PSN+ has been neat and it does auto backup your game saves. Games are tied to an account not hardware. Crossplay is great if you have a Vita. PS4 has the most 3rd party support so if a lot of 3rd party stuff appeals to you then year get one. 

I have Fallout 3 and like any Bethsesda game they are vastly overrated with sub-par visuals and buggy as hell games they never fix and dated open world design. Vats system is cool but outside of that the only truly great Fallout games were from 1-2 on PC in the 90s.

Good bundle but digital only. Nintendo really is going all digital next.

Xenoblade Chronicles X chosen as the best RPG at Paris Games Week 2015

Nintendo and Monolith Soft’s Wii U RPG Xenoblade Chronicles X secured a win at Paris Games Week 2015. Although the full lineup of nominees is unknown, it’s been announced that the game was selected as the best overall RPG. This was the only Nintendo title at the show to have obtained an award.

I'm not sure that those laws would necessarily apply since she's not naked or in a sex scene even, it would definitely be more acceptable for this in Japan than the West but is it still the consent laws that apply to fiction such as this? I'm not so sure about that.

 

I do think the much easier solution would be to change the age of the character to something like 18 for Western audiences.

US culture is not very open abut sex but very closed off and uppity so a bikini would still cause uproar. This is the same country that tried to sue Nintendo over a 3rd party shovelware game with a baby gibberish sounding like Islam to one stupid mom. Our laws are not as restrictive as Aussie ones on games but the parents make Aussie game laws look loose. It's easier and frankly better they did this to avoid a controversy like that.

Let's also consider US state laws vastly vary for legal ages. Some 18 some 17 some 16. Nothing is 13.  To avoid any controversy they had to edit it esp for concerned US parents. Called localization for a reason,to make a certain game fit that market as much as they can without ruining the vision of the game. I don't want to see a sexualized child of any age fiction or not. I mean If I made game with a toddler in a bikini being sexualized be just as revolting. If Elma gets censored then yeah Treehouse and 8-4 need a swift kick in the teeth as for spoiler reasons I can't say there would be zero reason for it.

13 is the technical age of consent in Japan tho also technically it's 18.

Unless your name is Jared Fogle it's revolting to see children in outfits like that. Western looks better.

Yes she is 13 even in the western version confirmed today despite earlier reports.

Robertson went on to state in the podcast that Retro’s new game is something that they did indeed pitch. Pitches were submitted to Nintendo throughout 2014, one of which was eventually accepted by Nintendo.

Robertson ended with the following about Retro possibly working on an original IP:

“… And you were saying, ‘could it be an original property?’ I think, actually, the time is now for Retro to do an original property. They’ve done two established Nintendo franchises, they’ve done Metroid and Donkey Kong, and I think now is the time to let them take hold of the reins a bit more for themselves and do that. And I think if it is something that they pitched themselves, then that does make it more likely that they pitched something original.”

 

Lol. Well I've always been a Sonic fan. I haven't played the Sonic Boom games yet and I probably wont anytime soon but overall I enjoy the Sonic franchise, it's a shame it gets so much hate but I suppose it's deserved with games like Sonic '06 and Sonic Boom.

Pretty much the same for me. Lost World is pretty good. 06,unleashed,Boom I stayed away from. My fave Sonic even tho not the best is Sonic 1 on Game Gear. Mainly as it was my first way back when. Still love Sonic Adventure even for how much it's aged and how flawed it is.

When games like Sonic Boom come out most people are not into Sonic anymore.

They were short but awesome.

Still won't have the cool DLC
