Sinxsoft recently took its Japanese-style RPG Cross Reverie to Kickstarter. However, the project was pulled after the studio managed to secure funding from a private investor.

Cross Reverie is targeted for launch in Q3 2016 on PC. Eventually, Sinxsoft intends to bring the game to Wii U.

You can get a look at Cross Reverie in the video below.

#316169 Devil's Third Japanese trailer

Posted by Raiden on 22 July 2015 - 10:25 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Normally those kind of comments from Devs are poor excuses and maybe he reacted out of defense. That said He might be right but not sure yet. Many reviewers and such often don't know how to review action games. I have seen some treat this game like Ninja Gaiden and others treat it as a shooter when it's a mix. Then I think how Ninja Gaiden series and Bayonetta done good enough but still do not sell as much as they should for how deep and amazing the combat is. The gameplay is top notch.

Games like God of War are so overly simple they are dumb but KEWL lookin. I mean this is a series with combat puzzles which in itself makes the game less accessible than one might think. Screw combat puzzles like really. Move this block here comes an enemy,ok kill that enemy now push the block again, koooool another enemy. I can deal with the push block or hit switch era like on Ninja Gaiden 1 or Devil May Cry  that was popular in the PS2 era. They space them out and actual puzzles. Fighting DURING a puzzle is BS esp when insipid. Move this thing really slowly while these things attack you. That's what DMC or NG1 or heck Bayonetta did well is it gives you breaks.

So we have one series praised and popular with a terrible protagonist who at first seems sad for such tragedy inflicted upon him, next thing you know he's in a whorehouse and killing innocents, yeah great guy. You mash the circle button over and over til a QTE.

Castlevania Lament of Innocense was a better version of the GOW combat before GOW existed. It was called a terrible game yet GOW ripped the game off and made it worse. Erm ok.  So the point? GOW is actually a bad action series in general.

Platimum makes the best ones but they do not sell that great. DMC was great but they decided to dumb it down with a reboot where the combat is simpler and well recieved rave reviews when DMC4 has miles better combat and was met with lukewarm responses.

Sorry long post. It just feels more often that easier more accessible but not really better games are praised. People or reviewers as a general rule don't get action games. Previews of evils Third sound like they don't get it. Now without playing it the concerns could be totally legit. Just for the reasons I stated is why I am taking them for the time being with a grain of salt.

It's like they took Vanquish and mixed it with late 80's to mid 90's lower budget action movies so bad they are awesome into one over the top game.

#316760 RIP Wes Craven

Posted by Raiden on 30 August 2015 - 09:00 PM in The Café

Wes Craven, the visionary filmmaker who defined the horror genre with the long-enduring "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise and later deconstructed and redefined it with "Scream," has died. He was 76.

His family confirmed his death to the Hollywood Reporter. And Craven's verified Twitter and Instagram accounts carried a photo of him, with the caption reading, "Wes Craven 1939-2015."

Craven had been battling brain cancer, the magazine said.

His career spanned decades, beginning with the 1972 revenge flick, "The Last House on the Left." While a commercial success, it pales in comparison to what came 12 years later.

With 1984's "Nightmare on Elm Street," he created an enduring icon of terror with the knife-fingered Freddy Krueger. It spawned several sequels, none of which he directed until he deconstructed the genre with "Wes Craven's New Nightmare," in 1995. The latter poked fun at the earlier movies, ingeniously looping back on itself using some of the original cast members.

And then came a 'Scream'

Likewise, he bent the horror genre again with "Scream," a monster hit that produced several sequels, gave birth to the "Scary Movie" parodies and lives on in the form of its signature ghost face mask featuring the slasher's open mouth.

"Today the world lost a great man, my friend and mentor," tweeted actress Courteney Cox, who starred in "Scream."

"My heart goes out to his family."

Her co-star, Rose McGowan, described him as "the kindest man, the gentlest man, and one of the smartest men" she's ever known.

"Please say there's a plot twist," she tweeted after his death was announced.

Former professor

In a way, his education prepared him for a career as a writer with an unbridled imagination.

Craven was born in Cleveland in 1939 and attended Wheaton College in Illinois, where he graduated with a degree in English and psychology. He later earned a master's in philosophy and writing from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland and briefly taught English.

After a career as a professor, Craven admitted to working on "many hard core X-rated films" as he tried to break into filmmaking.

In the 1970s, he shocked audiences with the realistic "drive-in" horror film, "Last House on the Left," which was censored in many countries at the time, including the United Kingdom, and his cult classic, "The Hills Have Eyes."

Other notable films he directed include the horror-comedy, "Vampire in Brooklyn," and other suspense films such as "Red Eye" and "The People Under the Stairs."

But his career was more than horror films.

In 1999, he directed "Music of the Heart," which featured Meryl Streep and Angela Basset. The movie was nominated for an Oscar.

:( He was an Icon for horror.

what's wrong with woolly world? you seem to be impying it's a bad game ryudo

i do think this looks fun though and i will still buy it

Where did I say Woolyworld is bad. I am saying reviewers are morons. THEY said it was bad THEY said those games were bad but are actually good games or at least enjoyable. The games THEY said are good are widely hated by people for being bad. Most people saying DT looks bad are just people following the crowd and not thinking for themselves.

#315848 Microsoft didn't consider Nintendo a competitor last gen

Posted by Raiden on 05 July 2015 - 07:24 PM in General Gaming

well it sucked that they lost money no business wants that to happen.... but you can't feel bad about selling 80-85 million consoles....those are potential customers for your next console and for sony that has worked out perfectly.

Does not matter how much you sell if losing money. Why Wii U sales are not killing Nintendo,Still making profit.

Many PS4 owners were 360 owners. Most the Wii owners went to Mobile. MS lost most it's customers starting 2009 when Natal later Kinect started taking over, many loyal fans were pretty upset with MS and Sony was regaining what it lost. Thing is Sony was desperate in 2008 http://www.dualshock...ida-saved-them/

MS has tried to swing XBO around but while doing better than Wii U it's starting to stagnate a bit as two E3's announced very little and most what they do announce is on PC or PS4. Sony as a whole is NOT working out. 18,000 jobs cut in 3 years. Many divisions sold and buildings sold off. MS cut 25,000 jobs last year but they have so much money it matters none. NIntendo is worth more than Sony as recent as last year. http://www.cinemable...Sony-61509.html

PS4 is doing well not Sony.

Comcept and Japanese animation company Studio 4°C are teasing a new project titled “Red Ash”. A debut teaser for the title was uploaded today, and we have it below.

A post on the Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter page reads:

Now what in the world could this be…?

Well…whatever it is, we decided to give our backers a special first look at it!

If you want to know more, you are all just going to have to wait until Independence Day to find out!

We can’t say anything more until then, but we think you get the idea.
Please share this video with all your friends, and help spread the word!

We’ll be hearing more about Red Ash at the Anime Expo this weekend. Keiji Inafune is holding a panel at the event, and he’ll be making a special announcement that “may interest Mega Man fans.” It’s being speculated that Red Ash is a spiritual successor of sorts to the Mega Man Legends series.

Look you have 2 choices. Keep whining like a baby that Wii U isn't PS4 and spinning that as a negative and sell it to get a PS4 or enjoy the damn thing as the fantastic console it is. I don't come to WII U FORUMS to hear a bunch of babies  to gripe about it. If I wanted that I will go to NG4 with the Sony ponies.

Whining about it all the time on here will change nothing. Only one making it worse is you.

#315937 No Devils Third in North America it seems

Posted by Raiden on 09 July 2015 - 03:10 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Nintendo of America has been noticeably quiet regarding the release of Devil’s Third in North America. Whereas it’s already been dated for August in both Europe and Japan, there hasn’t been a peep about its arrival in the states.

Liam Robertson, who has a fantastic track record of digging up information about cancelled projects as well as games that are still in the works, reports in a new video today that Nintendo won’t be publishing Devil’s Third in North America. It’d be up for Valhalla Game Studios to find a new company to handle its distribution in order for a release to happen.

I don't hate Nintendo but I do hate NOA. They need to go.
