#7519 what do think of the look of the console?

Posted by WeeYou on 16 June 2011 - 07:20 AM in Wii U Hardware

I was thinking just for marketing reasons it would be good for it to look different than the wii. Although maybe they're hoping with the similar name and appearance to be a big hit with the casual market again.

#7511 Ghost Recon Online free with Wii U?

Posted by WeeYou on 16 June 2011 - 07:07 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I think the release titles will be the 'party/family' type mini-games. The large hardcore games will be released seperatly by the third party developer.

Agreed. I could see a wiiU-sports title coming with the console. But not a shooter.

#7510 The Wii U needs 3rd party exclusives...badly

Posted by WeeYou on 16 June 2011 - 07:04 AM in Wii U Games and Software

As for a third-party exclusive of an FPS, Nintendo has the Conduit remember? <_<

The Conduit? I appreciate High Voltage trying to make a decent shooter for the wii, but that's not going to cut it for the wiiU. As much as I'd like to see High Voltage create a conduit for the wiiU that could actually compete with a Halo or Resistance or something...

Hopefully they will have one or two more before the console launches. People have been speculating on the possibility of Time Splitters 4 as exclusive.

TS4, now that's what I'm talking about! They have put out a teaser trailer on youtube a while back, but no news since then. Time Splitters games are always a lot of fun, and it would be an exclusive game that would make me proud to own the WiiU.

#7502 what do think of the look of the console?

Although the overall design is pretty sleek, I do wish they had done more to make it look different than the wii. That would just be a basic step to show off how the console is NEW.

#7499 Warioware Wii U

Posted by WeeYou on 16 June 2011 - 06:35 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Concerning the 3DS, the lack of certain control options would mean that version would likely be a condensed version of the Wii U game. With that in mind, maybe a design app should be introduced in 3DSWare/DSiWare. Think like a notepad. Games could be uploaded to a central database that could be accessed in the Wii U game. Games made on the 3DS could also be played on other 3DS units.

I love the idea of being able to create games on the 3DS to be brought over to the wiiU. That would be a really cool way to get the wiiU/3DS connection going. But I think if they made a WarioWare for the 3DS it would be its own unique game. Both the DS and the Wii got their own WarioWares. And the 3DS would offer a different enough experience that I think it warrants getting a unique WarioWare.

#7343 Warioware Wii U

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 08:14 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I love Wario Ware, and it would be prefect for the Wii U. <_<

I know right? A perfect match. I was surprised nobody had made a thread about this yet...

#7337 Warioware Wii U

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 07:59 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I've played Touched and Smooth Moves. The WarioWare games have always been unique just like the systems they're made for. Hence why the wiiU and/or 3DS would be a perfect fit.

#7325 Warioware Wii U

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 07:30 PM in Wii U Games and Software

So I was thinking about how WarioWare Smooth Moves for the wii created a bunch of fun new minigames that made use of the wiimote's unique capabilities. And keep in mind, all of the multiplayer action could be done using 1 wiimote. So think of the new minigame possibilities that could arise from using the new wiiU controller. I think a WarioWare for the wiiU could have tons of cool minigames, plus everybody in the room could get to use the new controller because you would just pass it around.

What are your thoughts? Any ideas for minigames that wold use the new controller? Or would you even rather they made a WarioWare for the 3DS instead? Or do you just hate WarioWare?? <_<

And BTW, you can select both 3DS and WiiU in the poll.

#7320 Let's Talk IPs!

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 07:20 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I would want a fun, lightec hearted RPG, something that is engaging but doesn't take it's self seriously. Something with the atmosphere of portal.

Lol. Wish I had read your post before I made mine. I like how we both want RPGs but we want them to take it in completely different directions! <_<

I've recently got back into playing Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. I love what nintendo can bring to the RPG genre, and I'd really be curious to see them come out with a new and fresh RPG series. Possibly even one set in more modern times (like with guns rather than swords). With a dark tone (post apocalyptic maybe) and modern day weapons, nintendo could create a new darker franchise for the more mature and hardcore Nintendo fan base.

#7313 Ghost Recon Online free with Wii U?

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 07:14 PM in Wii U Games and Software

While I didn't realize it was a F2P game, I doubt Nintendo would put a rated M game on every new wiiU. Even if they are aiming for a more hardcore market this go around. I doubt even microsoft or sony would even give out an M rated game. Either way it's free, you'll just have to take the time to download it.

#7308 wii u to hardcore for me?

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 07:11 PM in Wii U Hardware

I think there will be a nice mix. I can't say that the wiiU will have the most casual games of the next gen consoles (I really hope they don't), but the casual games Nintendo puts out are usually pretty well executed.

#7162 Wii U Camera Ideas Thread

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 02:03 PM in Wii U Hardware

In general I think that the camera could be used to seamlessly integrate video chat into many multiplayer games. Imagine having an entire lobby of people able to video chat in between rounds of COD or a similar shooter. On second thought, that could get super confusing and even annoying. Although it could be worth a shot.

#7131 Mario Kart Wii U

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 12:58 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I like the idea of Kart customisation and maybe using the Wii U's controller to draw pictures on the karts sort of like how Tekken using it.

At first I was really into the idea of adding tons of customization options, maybe even getting new better parts by winning races. But then again, mario kart has never really been about all that...

#7122 Super Smash Bros. 4 Discussion Thread

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 12:42 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I could see any where from 35 to even 50 characters. I'd really like to see them up the customization of matches. For example:
. being able to change how much damage individual weapons do
. setting it up so everybody starts with some item/weapon
. more alternate colors and costumes
. be able to make minute or large changes to gravity, movement speed, etc.
. more unique game modes besides the normal time, stock, coin, etc.

That's all I can think of for right now. I'm sure all of us have a million new ideas for game play and characters as we nintendo faithful always do when a new smash is on the way.

#7119 Wii U Online Network Thread

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 12:36 PM in Wii U Hardware

well im hoping in an update with the 3ds they merge ur wii u account with ur 3ds account

That would be a nice touch. It would really create a nice connected Nintendo Network of sorts. Although I currently don't have anybody on my 3DS friends list anyways. <_<

#7078 Wii U to support 4 SD video streams.

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 11:49 AM in Wii U Hardware

I think no matter how many new controllers the wiiU supports, Nintendo will hopefully find a way to make it work. My only gripe is that they're keeping the stigmatized wii remotes around.

#7062 "The Wii U Controller Needs Analog Sticks and Triggers"

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 11:36 AM in Wii U Hardware

The main thing they showed off at E3 was the new controller. The controller they showed is most likely the finished product. That said, it's frustrating that Nintendo put in sub-par slide pads instead of solid analog sticks. It's a step backward, and there's really no excuse beyond "it looks better."

#7059 Animal Crossing Wii U

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 11:33 AM in Wii U Games and Software

If they do make a wiiU AC, I hope they take full advantage of the wiiU's power. If they don't fully overhaul the graphics, the least the could do is add a ton of new items, tons of new stuff to do, and just entirely new things the series hasn't seen before. Let's be honest, with each new AC game there's less and less of a reason to by the game, especially at full price. I really regret buying City Folk. I had logged hundreds of hours on wild world, and city folk didn't bring any noteworthy new features to the table.

#7040 WIIU GAME CONCEPT THREAD

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 10:51 AM in Wii U Games and Software

How about this then:
Imagine an RTS game with Hero units, like Warcraft III. One player would be controlling groups of units RTS style on tv while a second player takes full control of the Hero unit as a third person RPG on his own screen. Could provide some interesting co-op, RTS player has better field of vision allowing him to give tips on where to go on the battlefield while he provides support with his army. Could maybe even expand the RTS series into something more. While RTS is creating buildings and units to prepare for battle, the rpg'er goes around doing small quests to gain resources quicker or unlock certain buildings for the RTS'er. Those buildings in turn provide better weapons or armor for the RPG'er.

I may be going a bit crazy here though <_<

A pretty ambitious idea, but I think that would be really cool. Two different gaming experiences, but they work together towards the goal of winning. It would almost be two games in one. As long as the games wouldn't end up being good at both the RTS aspect and the RPG aspect but not being great at either.

#7035 Luigi's Mansion 2 for Wii U

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 10:40 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Keep it a 3DS exclusive. The 3DS needs good exclusive games to build up interest in it.

#7030 Wii U will not play DVD's Do you care?

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 10:37 AM in Wii U Hardware

Nintendo always seems to bring something new to the table while omitting features that we'd "like to see" but aren't deal breakers. <_<

#7028 Wii U Online Network Thread

Posted by WeeYou on 15 June 2011 - 10:34 AM in Wii U Hardware

No friend codes, you can add anybody you want, and next gen connectivity. I think it's sad that the best we can hope for is for it to be on par with this gen's consoles in terms of online.

#6529 WIIU GAME CONCEPT THREAD

Posted by WeeYou on 14 June 2011 - 08:06 PM in Wii U Games and Software

My idea is a sort of hide-and-seek shooter. One player takes the Wii U controller with a zapper. He is a sniper and runs around trying to kill the other three players (or computer simulations). The other three players just run around trying not to get killed until time runs out. Its kinda the opposite of the "Chase Me" demo.

In general I think mounting a the new controller on a modified zapper will create awesome sniping experiences.

#6523 WII U supports 2 controllers.

Posted by WeeYou on 14 June 2011 - 07:57 PM in Wii U Hardware

Yeah, let's not get our hopes up. It's tempting to jump on the idea that you could stream to two controllers at once (as that's how we all imagined/hoped it would be), but until I've heard it from Nintendo, I'll wait to be "undisappointed" in the 1 controller only news.
