The hdmi gives audio and video together, which is excellent the monitor has built in speakers you will get sound from it.
Wiiu is double the entertainment as a console connects to hdtv and if don't have tv at all you can use gamepad as a tv and play on it, yes you right it does have speakers.

Do you have a download code?
After completing the survey you should get a download code and I didn't have any kind of a problem.
Nintendo must have problem,where you fill in the survey and that's why you aren't getting a code.
